    This Challenge's system isn't working like Nappa's Kill Team Challenge:P
    Anyway, let's do it fast and move the side of more fun.
    ==============================================
    Following the winds, the surviving teams are guided into a deep valley, with a huge door nearby writing "The Gate of the Hell".
    "What's that?" One of the crowd asks.
    A voice then comes out of nowhere, and using laser gates to shut all the points of entry."This is a place prepared for you all. A place of the truth, and a place for you to fight."
    "To fight? For what?" One of them asks.
    "Now you're all trapped here. IF you want to reunite with your comrades, you have to fight until you're the single one standing."
    "Then show yourself!" One of the crowd shouts.
    "Once there're just a single group of you standing here, I'll show up."
    "Then if we fail?"
    "The Gate of the Hell will seal you up forever." The voice replies, and the crowds fall slience.

    "Let the fights begin. Survive, and you may live. YOU ONLY HAVE TWO CHOICES: WIN THEM OR PERISH."

    Then the voice faded out.
    Upon hearing such speeches, the crowd knows what they should do. They soon scatters around, and the firefights begins.
    They're fighting for their best in order to live, but they don't know what're lying ahead......

    "You know what to do?"
    "Yes, my Lord. We aren't going to fail you like the Ork before."
    "Good. Before you go down and supervise the fights, remember to start recording the fights as archives. Then we can plan for Phase 3."
    "It will be done."

    Knockout Round Progress List

    Worsle vs theshadowduke
    Points of notice: The Railguns will be able to tear Marines apart if they hit, but the Marines have larger size of meatshields to bring the Bolters and that hidden Meltagun into the fray. It'll be an endurance test.

    Evolution vs Doohicky
    Points of notice: Evolution's performance has become better and better in the later rounds, but Doohicky is a high-level competitor whose Plague Banner have 1/6 chance to bring down the Squigoth at once. Who'll survive this titanic battle?

    QuixotesGhost vs IvanMcK
    Points of notice: The squads' status are similarly the same, but the Sisters have Act of Faith to boot, as the Necrons may come back constantly under even the heaviest fire. This will be a tough fight to bear.

    80Turnbull vs Rastani Helios
    Points of notice: Both team's performances had been varied greatly, but the moving, Template-filled Speeders seem to have a slight advantage over the repairing Necrons. How will this fight continues and ends?
    ==============================================
    Will try to finish this ASAP to launch the 3rdSC.

    Oooh.. I'm up against the Squiggoth.
    I think it will be all about the PLaguebanner in this. If I get a good shot off (4+ wounds) then I think I should beat it, but a bad shot could mean giving the melta gun too much to do. His high toughness will make the flamer and bolters have difficulty in causing wounds.

    I am kind of surprised I made it to the last 8, I am not sure if I am going to last this round though my suits have had a terrible record of running and missing. Still good luck to all who made it through.

    I hope my squiggoth can survive that plaguebanner then. Good luck doohicky.

    On another note, I found this part of the text incredibly hilarious BG.
    Survive, and you may live.

    Heh. No worries, but the Dice God seems to go crazy today......So are the crazy results. I can't do anything for it......
    ==============================================
    Knockout Round

    the results of the round

    ==============================================
    After the short fights 4 failed teams are sucked into the ground.
    "QUICKSAND!" Others shout, but the ground only sucks those who're failed inside. Soon there're just only 4 teams present.

    "Now continue the fights. Only one team can live through." The Fire Dragon Exarch announces, and he cuts the voice channel.
    The surviving teams then start to fire upon each other, hoping to bring down others first.
    "Everything are under our plan, my Lord."
    "Good. If there're ever anyone standing alone, you'll face them. I don't expect you to fail."
    "I won't. We're different to the Orks."

    ==============================================
    The next round will be the 4-team FFA round. All goes like this Knockout round, except the rounds used will also be recorded, so the one who wins most AND use fewest turns to fight will be the Champion before fighting Final Boss. Losing a round will still count 20 turns+the longest turns used, so if A vs B and C vs D, A wins by 2 turns and D wins by 4 turns, B and C will be counted as using 24 turns.

    Good luck, and my the Dice God curse you all.

    Fear not, the next one will comeup ASAP once I make some final amendments upon the rules.

    OK, now it'll be the time for our FINAL BATTLE.
    ==============================================
    The bloodshed among the last 4 groups ended. The Speeders are downed, the Squigoth is killed, and the dead bodies of the Sisters are lying around.
    Only the Space Marines from an unknown chapter stands alone in the end.
    At this sight the Fire Dragons stand in a single, horizontal line, raising their weapons and prepare to fire.
    But the Exarch puts up his hand, signalling not to fire.
    The Marines, however, aren't going to let the Eldar to live and open fire, but their shots are deflected by an energy field.
    Then the Exarch speaks, "Warriors of the Emperor of Mankind, you fought well to come to here. I expect we'll have a fair fight in this honoured battle, but not like this."
    But that voice isn't like an Eldar at all. Instead, it seems it's someone speaking for him.

    The Marine Sergeant then signals his brothers to hold fire and asks, "What are you doing here? Or, why we're all here and fight waves of enemies?"
    "We need all of you to produce better samples. There're a group of others had became our materials already."
    "Becoming sample to make better warriors, you mean?"The Sergeant asks.
    "You can say that. Now, surrender so that you can suffer from less pain."
    "Cut it off. We won't surrender to anyone, because we fight for the Emperor himself! We'll destroy you and find out who's controlling all the things behind!"
    "You won't have that chance, Mon-keigh. Your Emperor doesn't rule here."
    "The Emperor rules all, alien. You'll know that soon enough. Brothers! Let's cleanese these alien flith!"
    "So be it, then."The Exarch said. "Fire Dragon team, commence fire!"

    This will be their final showdown, only one side will live.

    Last words:
    This is the end of this Second Shooting Challenge. As you can see, the plot goes on. In the Third (and the last) Shooting Challenge this plot will be fully revealed, forming a trilogy on its own.
    Since I got some experiences from the 1stSC, this challenge tends to be smoother than the first one. However some flaws (and broken stuff) still exists, and I'll apologize for that. These stuff will be fixed in the 3rdSC so that a fairer, more thrilling chalenge can be made.
    Now, all challenge veterans and newcomers are welcome to join my Third Shooting Challenge, which will be hosted shortly (and especially because it'll need lots of people to become a fun one).
    Again thanks all of you for your participation in this game, and I'm looking forward to see you in my games in the future.

    Yours,
    Brian

    I'll offer some feedback on this current challenge.

    I think the way that the opponent always fired first gave somewhat of an unfair advantage to Meqs. If you notice, Eldar were really hurting in this challenge. There are certain armies that rely on resiliency (like Marines) and there are certain armies that rely on using their maneuverability to get the first strike and then there are other armies that rely on hugging cover which was never a given (perhaps an option to buy guaranteed cover?). I would've liked to see an option where units that bought a transport or could otherwise move 12" could get a guaranteed first strike. Though that favors marines still because they get the super-cheap Rhino. So I dunno.

    Also some of the special rules concerning certain units left me scratching my head. Veil of Tears was a bit of a WTF?!? Also I don't understand why Necrons get the automatic resurrection orb. If you want to make the argument that - "of course, any competent Necron player would have a Res Orb near their troops that and it's counted in the price of the basic unit"; I could easily counter with "Oh course I'm going to have more than one point of faith in an SoB army and could channel it into a lynchpin unit."

    The auto Res-orb just felt unnecessary.

    Good points. But actually in this challenge you're warned that your foe will always strike first anyway, so basically speaking it'll be a toughness+luck test to the entries. Of course, this will looks like broken so I think this rule can be abandoned afterwards, but will be used in a different way in the 3rdSC. The Cover issue, as Dooks raised long ago, will also be regularized.
    VoT's brokeness is fixed in 3rdSC, so hope that can be resolved.
    As for the Crons, it's used to give them a slight edge in the continours fire gihts, but indeed I've something in stores for them already. Specifically speaking, if you can wipe out the whole unit at once they can't even come back, so the Crons aren't too nerfed. Still I see the brokeness of larger Cron units in the 3rdSC so they're toned down by a bit as well.

    Hope these can resolve your questions.

    Might i ask why there was so many things that auto won against Conscripts? About 7 entries comprised of vehicles/T7 things and only 4 i could actually hurt. Might be because i'm a bit of a bad loser.

    And i might be unable to kill the transport, but what about the girls inside it. I wanted to see them get LASGUNNED!

    I have to say I hated the "enemies always shoot first" rule.

    In case you haven't gathered that from how it worked out for me
    Let's Play Europa Universalis 3: Divine Wind
    Let's Play Master of Magic: Abandoned
    In the beginning there was nothing. Then Steam crashed.

    Naerik: I warned you already.

    n0z: That's why 3rdSC, as a PvP, will combine SRR and "Enemy shoot first" elements. I'm waiting for ya to avenge.:P

    Cool I won!!! What did I win?

    Good fights guys, I honestly expected to be knocked out awhile ago.
