So I'm working on a mod that is purely fixes from the nobrainer bugfix thread.
I've started with the IG because they seem to contain the most amount of minor bugs and what have you. I have a mod right now that contains 90% of the fixes implemented, and with all of them fixed, it makes a decent difference.
I have a few questions for the community on consistancy issues:
GM squads lasguns have a base range of 27.
GM squads plasma have a base range of 23.
Satellite Targeting increase the range of both by 20%. This is odd.
Should I increase plasma guns range to 27 and leave the research alone?
Should I change both guns to a range of 25 and keep the +20% bonus of the research the same?
Or if I make Satellite Targeting give a +40% bonus, then the plasma guns would ahve the exact same range as lasguns with +20% (32.4).
Morale damage on CC weapons. Namely, most IG weapons lack morale damage and/or a minimum damage value. I think Priest deserve a moral damage value of at least 5 (Freakin chainsaw yo!).
and well there are a lot of other grey-areas as far as balance is concern, but those 2 I want community feedback. As I make progress, I'll update.
Eventually I'm just gonna have to make a judgement call on wether or not something justifies an increase/decrease. Like Kasrkin grenade launchers doing less damage than GM squads, I think they should do more damage, and will make the research give the same bonus to Kasr squads as GM.
