Since the 1.6 -> 1.61 process requires Release_Notes_EnglishUK.txt (WTF?!) and I deleted it, does someone know where I could find a copy?
I do have:
Release_Notes_English
Readme_English

Maybe post a warning about this somewhere?

Warning about what? Deleting files from an installed program's directory?
They're frakking text files! No other game I know of requires a previous copy of the release notes to patch! I mean come on; whats wrong with overwrite?Warning about what? Deleting files from an installed program's directory?

The readme file is perhaps the most important info you could have about the game. I can't for the life of me figure why anyone would want to delete that file but obviously you did :-(
I believe checking for the text file is a failsafe to ensure you've got the right version installed for the patch you're applying.
Anyway, if you have the DVD version, just copy it off the DVD.

You could have said this earlier and saved us both a lot of trouble.Anyway, if you have the DVD version, just copy it off the DVD.

I suggested the first method, because it wasn't clear if that was the only file you'd manually deleted. The re-install method is best because if you don't know exactly what's happened to the install, the reinstall will reset your install.
Anyway, let this be a lesson to anyone reading. DO NOT delete any files from a installed program's directory.
