Well, I know it was a couple months ago, but I thought you all might be interested in seeing what happened at the Relic Community Open House we hosted.

"The Community Appreciation Day at Relic on Friday, March 9th 2007 attracted over 65 fans from all over the world. Sponsored by NVIDIA. Fans from Korea, Austria, Germany, Mexico, England, Australia, Yellowknife, and fans from all over the USA and Canada explored a full day of events at the Relic offices from 10 am to 6 pm."

I'm one of the lurkers you mentioned in the shoutcast, while I have just a post or two under my belt I keep an eye on whats going on in here.
What impresses me the most is the interacting between the Relic staff and the community, Im saying this because I have been involved in MP gaming since the start of MOHAA back in 2002, moved on to the different expansions before I headed off to BF42/COD/CODUO/BFV/BF2/Vietcong/RO and as anyone can testify to, those games haven't seen much (if any) support from the dev's (apart from Red Orchestra) so its with great joy I come in here and see the level of interest from the dev's and Relic employees.
It warms my internet heart and needless to say the COH francese will be with me all the way because of this.

Be careful what you sign up for. I travelled with Worf and Riess, and the following things happened on the trip to Canada:

1) I broke the airport
2) I fixed the airport
3) There was a bomb threat at the airport and we had to clear out
4) I was seated next to a clearly lunatic 60 year old guy from India with bladder control problems who tried to get up during takeoff to get more booze from the flight attendant
5) Worf and Riess got reseated due to almost-but-then-not-really double-booking
6) I got reseated in mid-flight away from the Indian guy and right between two families with three crying babies and a son who hit his mother in the face after she slapped him
7) Riess spent three hours in customs when we finally arrived in Canada
8) my cell phone's software decided to hate Canada and refused to connect to any networks.

There are 2 alternatives availible in that case;
-You, Worf and Riess join a Dutch delegation *cough* in the hopes of evading german bad luck.
-Or we invite Buggo, Rob C. other devs to germany and have a european Relic party there. (wasn't there a big german gaming expo, maybe that makes a good place for THQ/Relic)

Otherwise, if I've time to go, and I'm desperate then I will join you incognito...

Oh also, download a little freeware tool called Video Inspector, it'll tell you what you want to know and point you to a download location if you lack the codec.

its mpeg, and i'd say go download this. Bunch of codecs that you'll probably never need. it also has media player classic which can play alot of video.
