its in the rar file. To extract that, you will need winrar.

I recommend to wait for the next version, which will be released this week
    and which provides an installer.

Will the installer version install correctly with the Steam version of COH OF?

Also, will you allow us to pick the directory?

I am not doing the installer,
but as far as I know it works without problems with steam,
but chooses the directory by itself.

With great mods comes great responsibility.

Seriously now, no need to pressure the team for a release. We can all wait as long as nessecary.

I'm a little confused with the installer thingy though, but I don't think there will be any instalation problems.

Certainly a highly anticipated mod, a total new gaming experience as i could see it from the current version. No rush taken, surely Halftrack will deliver a big hit...and with the installer too!

Eh...that was the longest week i ever had waiting lol... patience

Yeah! It certainly is a highly anticipated MOD!!! The work done on it has saved me from doing my own realism project!!!
I just want to add, it is safe for me to say: "this MOD is made of game experience dreams come true."

I can survive till tomorrow, but...i hope the installer will work.

I know how fucked up things may get with installers...they are relatively easy to build but many things can go wrong. It's time to lit a candle and start the prayers so that tomorrow everything is working fine. After such a wait ! lol

as the pre release is BotB Forum related, please be so kind and ask THERE!!!

  38. #1388
i play BotB v2 and i must to say that i very like the new symbols and resources system (the manpower isnt decreases when you are building or reinforce infantry), but i think that you need to increase the damage of the small arms and increase the cooldown of the panzershreck or the bazooka when it in ambush postion (i never saw someone which can fire and reload bazooka or panzershreck in this speed)

I guess a good changelog from version to version could also be useful...as well as a full documentation (apart from the excellent pdf manual) of changes from Vanilla to BotB. These things should be kept both in forums and in the mod dir as docs to be consulted anytime.

I must say the presentation with the movie and the music is awesome...leaves me to wonder the title of the song...whose beginning is basically the same of Battlefield 2. Been wondering since then. Anyone knows?

Another song i would have always liked to know the title for (and maybe someone here knows since the team is german i guess) is the one coming from Silent Hunter 3, the greywolves mod.

Speaking of mods? This one surely makes the vanilla game outdated. I wouldn't mind if i was the producer to really enlist these guys into professional modding...give em the tools i say!

Yes, its released right now. First Post updated.

@GShock: Yea, a proper documentation would be very useful, but
my spare time didnt allow me yet to document all the changes....

Just go to YouTube, and type in BF1942 theme.

    Halftrack,
Is it maybe also possible to remove the resource system myself? It's really nicely made, but I prefer to capture points.

Hehehehe it takes a tome to write down all the changes

Great job nonetheless...who's gonna ever play OF again? Not me that's for sure.

yes it is... go to BotB/Data/Scar and rename the atc.scar file.

BUT, beleive me, if you played that for a while, you wont like anything else again.

  45. #1395
Downloading right now. Will it harm my original CoH, or is it paralell to it like the 1st version?
I will use Google before I ask dumb questions!

i think the US easy 8 is overpowered. My tank solo took out 1/2 of the enemies. And my AI allies all cluster in the middle of the map.
    But overall great mod.

just watched the replay...my tank took out 4 stugIV, 2 puma, 2 halftrack, 2 hezter and 2 marder howitzer. LOL

I don't think it is overpowered. The AI is certainly not up to par. Try playing with a human opponent. You'll find that even a STUG will/can take out your Easy 8.

What you will find is that Line of Site is what will win you almost every tank battle. Thus, infantry is imperative to the effectiveness of your tanks.
