I think that the AI needs some work. The enemy AI always moves the tanks, and infantry the same way (i think thats what they mean, cause ive seen it)

When calliope gets ranked up it won't fire rockets, cause the fire rocket icon is replaced. The icon becomes a field repair icon. Is that part of the mod or a bug?
Yes, some maps loads, i press any button, i get a black screen and a CTD.

Send me your warnings.log in a private message. The log should be located in Documents/Games/Company of Heroes. It's not in the folder LogFiles.

Make sure the most recent game you played was the one that crashed; the log file gets rewritten every time you play the game.
hey guys, amazing mod here. Great ideas, great gameplay, well.....everything is great
however, i saw some strange things happening:
1) for some reason some of the Fallschirmjagers use silenced Stens
2) when US airborne squad upgrade with the recoilless rifle, and lose the squad member whos holding the weapon, then when you reinforce the squad, no one actually uses the recoilless rifle anymore. (75ammo wasted !!)
3) For some strange reasons, when the shreck teams get to Vet3/ Iron cross level(or whatever u call it) the fire rate of the schrecks becomes insane!(and I do mean insane) it looked like an MG firing rockets!
4) Where are all the Tigers gone? Whenever I call for off map heavy armor support, all I can see is a Kingtiger. I think there should be less King Tigers and more Tigers on the field.
No, there shouldnt be more Tigers on the field. Its end of 44, Tiger Is were out of production. Only about 6-8 Tiger Is saw service, but about 80 Kingtigers did, during the whole Ardennes offensive
The offmap ability calls In either a Tiger I or King Tiger, randomly.
Panzershrek Bug is known, and will be fixed soon.

is one of the german doctriens allow the germasn to BUILD KT's? or is it only a off map tank to call in? and whats there limit if there buildable? and what realyl makes me cry is when im playign teh US and i call in for the Brits 29th armored D. to help and i only get 1 tank and a squad for 1600 Man power or the Infantry doctrine where i call in the easy 8's.. and i only got a half track for 1600 man power. when i really needed the Easy 8s most. its made me sad =(
The 6th Panzer Army has the ability to build King Tigers (along with Panzer IVs and Panthers). The build limit is 2, but they also have an off-map ability that calls in a King Tiger (making the max 3) along with a Wirbelwind, halftrack and mounted grenadiers. The King Tigers cost 900mp 200fuel to build, so you can get close to three Shermans/tank destroyers out per King Tiger to counter them for almost the same amount of resources. As to your issue with the reinforcements not all showing up, my guess is something with the pop cap. I haven't tested it yet, but I would wager during the delay from when you click on the icon for the off-map units and when they actually show up, you probably built more units or lost some map territory, so the Easy-Eights and higher pop-cap units did not show up (because the limit was hit by the lower cap units arriving).
I don't know if this has been posted yet, but the M36 Jackson is a absolute rape machine. Not only can it one-shot Tigers/KingTigers/Panthers from the Front but it also does a pretty respectable job against infantry.
There are two offmap abilities: One for 6th Panzerarmy, which has an Ostwind and a Halftrack with Grenadiers along with the tiger, and one single tiger for 7th Army.
Theres a major bug with the popcap for reinforcement, which I havent gotten through yet. You need at best more popcap than the the reinforcements cost ( double ? ),
otherwise tho most costly units dont show up
I've just downloaded this mod and the little single player I have played has been brilliant. However for some reason I can not play multiplayer with my friends online? Whenever they send an invite it tells me that 'Player has sent an invite to game, but you cant join.' I cannot join other people games either with all of botb games being greyed out on the list. link for the mod twice now as have my friends but for some reason it will not work for me.
I don't know what to do with it and I’m dieing to play this mod with some players rather than just the AI so any help anyone can give would be brilliant.
the 90 mm of the jackson was good enough to 1 shot tigers and panthers. the tiger only had a max of 100MM armor thickness in teh hull and 110 on the turret plus its a giant box so its really not the best tank to deflect hi velocity shells. but the panther being slopped it had 80 mm of front armor though thinner the slope made it act as if it was a tigers front armor. but still the 90mm is a big gun. its a cat killer. as for teh king tiger.. thats debateable at what range your at. plus. the armor spalls on the inside since the armor quality was so low that even if the armor was not penetrated that armor would craack and fly into the crews face and kill em. for the infantry part i have no say you got me =)
We are considering reducing the M36 effectiveness for balance reasons. I had sent Halftrack a new weapon file for it which reduced the damage roughly 20% (making it better than an M10, but worse than a King Tiger) but I do not know if he will implement it.
My reasoning was that, for the M36' cost, it was extremely over-powered; you could hard-counter a Jagdpanther with a single M36, and the cost differences are substantial. Instead of reducing it's cost, I reduced the damage marginally; forcing it to take 2 shots instead of 1 to take down a Jagdpanther. However the first shot should still tear it down to roughly 15% hp.
i think if the jackson slams a round into the rear of any tank it should kill it it it doenst bounce off. the panther had its gas int eh rear i think it was external so that should be a 1 shot kill the Stuarts 37mm gun could hurt it in the rear.. its able to do that. the rear is not think .. nor is the side of the panther i believe just a bit above the shermans side armor.
The only effect we can change with the rear is penetration, not damage.
And I was refering to frontal armour.
Ok tested the new version yesterday.
1. It looks good and get a feeling for it.
2. The new capping system is interesting.
Why don´t you want that terretory is abel to OP? That means a low income on ammo and fuel even if med. points are on the map. It´s part of the COH game.
My JagdpanzerIV blows to hell by a single frontal shot from an M10....thats kind of a joke.
JagdpanzerIV cannon do shit vs Sherman Tanks. Historicaly he had the same gun as the Panther G had, so that unit needs to be overworked completly.
No Panzerschreck for Grenadiers anymore well then let me OP Ammo points to gather more ammo for Panzerfaust shots.
No key for 98% of all Maps even without any other Mod installed and reinstalled yours. How come this.

Good ideas but it feels a bit rough to play it now with the new capping system, for me i would change it back to normal COH.
i like the new capping system but hes right that a building can save the points, maby the op building aviable but only one at the teretory or just 1 time a bonus
the jagdpanzer is a bit weak thats true, and id like for the panzergrenadiere a buyable panzerfaust couse the american airbornranger can get theyt anti tank too
but all in all a good mod
i think you have enough anti-tank with germans. you have tanks, paks, shreck-teams and the upgradeable fausts...and the shrecks are bugged and fire rockets like a mg when veterancy is gained. so there shouldn't be a anti-tank problem with the germans atm.
the only tree i have problems with after playing several matches is the allied infantry-tree. this tree has become a little bit weak vs tanks imo. maybe i always lost sight of something, but often i don't win with 'em. i think you should get the combat-pioneers earlier than the rangers or you should get a bazzooka-team like the one in the airborne-tree. otherwise you sometimes don't have antitank in early-mid game.
and the atc is just fine. i like it the way it is. much closer to realism than simply plagging a flag into the ground and saying: so, this is my territory now. brand-new game-feeling and that's good imo. maybe it could be improved a little bit with buildings/stations that can store resources. but this was already mentioned in the botb-forums, and i find this idea fantastic.

Actually the problem with Panzerschrecks is not Veterancy related. It's time related. Just that, after a period of time, they'll be shooting incredibly fast and will earn that Vet very easily..
Those combat engineers were in every US division, so it's odd they're Infantry only. The only difference is that Infantry division engineers traveled in trucks, Armored division engineers had trucks and half-tracks, and Airborne engineers had neither. I think the problem is that AT guns get run over on their way to the fight. Have trucks transport them there.
Quad gun trucks have no personnel manning the turret.
Tankdestroyer shoots, and has the sound of the shot appear several moments later.
i realized that, with half of the map mine, i will get MANY resources, but the enemy, wether on normal or hard, will just fight for a while and then do little if nothing at all.
When enemy stops doing much, they build fields of mines in pointless places,such as covering a whole area where theres repair stations, or their whole base is covered with mines.
I think that manualy detonated charges should be able to be built in rows, for defensive burposes and such, mainly when you know that the enemy uses a road, or will have to cross some strip of land.
I usually dont post but, i got a little peeved when an M10 one-shotted my StugIII, then a M36 fired a single shot at the front of my just fielded King Tiger, it registered as a rear hit and destroyed it. The American armor seems a little unrealistic.
Other than that, the mod is the best Ive played.

We might be releasing a patch within the next week.
We can't confirm anything, so if we don't, I'll upload an .SGA for you to place in your archives folder. It won't qualify as a patch, but instead as a temporary fix.
Not to rain on anyones parade, i loved the mod. But you need to put in the victory points back in again.
Annihilation is not so fun, because most of the times someone has already won when half the games is done. I loved the ATC, if creates much more strategy since you don't know where in the area the units will be when they are capping.
But victory points should be in there. Almost every tactical game has them and for a good reason. It brings more strategy to the game.
Close Combat had it.
Combat Mission had it.
Faces of War had it.
Men of War has it.
vCoH has it.
? Victory Points are in..
It's possible they don't work on a specific map or two. If you can name any, please do.
Otherwise your install may not have worked properly, and I'd suggest reinstalling the mod.
Today i noticed my couple of hummels trying to "counter-battery' allied bombing runs and so hitting my units....
a friendly-fire disaster .......
oh... forgot to say: the bombing-run target wasn't more then half screen away from the hummel

Thanks Panzer, i think there's enough feedback already to work on fixes, anyway, best thing to do would be to group critical issues and balance issues and release a quick patch only for those priorities. The uberpanzer surely is a priority but i've seen other important issues too.

I think I can, even though I didn't add in ATC.
ATC should be a SCAR file located somewhere in your install directory. If you delete it, you should be able to play all maps with normal territories.
Ok, here's what you have to do:
Go to your BotB install directory, go to Data/scar.
Open scarutil.scar in notepad.
Delete this line (just scroll down a bit, or if you still missed it, do a search):
Save and run.
Tell me if anything goes wrong.

Hi, I tried this mod for the first time yesterday, and damn, that looks awesome! I know its about the gameplay and all, but the intro, menu, setup, all is looking fabulous, so hats of for that!
I dont know if this has been addressed or not but the mortarHT still gains vet as in PE.
Other than that, I build a few KT's and well, they own éverything, not sure if thats all that fair..
Good jub on all the models and all, that disguise-idea is really slick,hehe.

Asked and talked thousand of times, but why the Shreck team fires a little bit too fast, i mean, i destroyed 2 bridges and defeated to Comps using only Shrecks
It's been fixed, patch is WiP.
That was one of our top priorities.

Ahem, not a mod problem but a connection problem. I'm getting 400kb/s on steam for downloads but 10kb/s for the mod off this site....any help/links to torrents or other faster downloads?
