    Half the main menu screen is pink and I cannot join online games. I do not have OF. Can I fix this somehow?

    Hey first of all, this is truly an epic mod, by far the best Ive played in COH. There are still a few bugs however and the one that is irking me the most is why do Fallschirmjager have a Sten? One of their men has a Sten when I'm pretty sure it should be an MP40, but that is really the only bug that is really irking me at the moment, I can deal with the rest (yeah I know I'm an FSJ nut...) Anyway thats just a bug I wanted to report.

    Anyone else having a problem getting this to load up? Whenever I click on the app, it just says "RelicCOH.exe has stopped working" (and yes I have updated to 2.301 and have OF)

    Hey Guys.. we are glad you like it.. here some answers to the things you mentioned:

    BotB was developed mainly on 2.2 , so it should work with older versions than 2.301, too.
    The Mod wont work with OF only. Maybe we try if its possible to trick OF somehow...

    An installer version is on the way, Luc, the guy whos making it will be back on track
    by middle of next week, and we hopefully will have done some fixes by then.
    So please: reports, reports, reports

    The "pink main screen" is kinda strange, seems rgt is broken by copying...
    It occured when testing the version for release, and I thought I had fixed
    it... strange. But solveable.

    Jagpanzer IV: The top MG is part of the StuGs model, I use for the wheels.
    I dont know how and where to get rid of it.... Gunner in Vet shouldnt appear, though.
    btw, Sturm: gdpz IV had a frontal MG? Never seen any, yet.

    "Sten": No Bug, its intentional.

    BotB works fine with 2.201.

    the inf weaponary need more dmg and all units a bigger sightfield.
    the bunker MG42 cant killt or pin a US mortar ...

    and another thing is the penetation of ATG/tank guns.
    a jagdpanther need 3 hits for killing a papergerman and a P4H 2-3 hits for killing priest?
    pls make it more historical accurat in the next version

    How come the mod doesn't works? I placed the BotB files in my CoH OF main map, and I can see the loading screen has changed, but for the rest it's all VCoH. And all the new units are ''missing RGM's'', and the unit icon's are pink.

    we could still have a lot of things to work on.

    Semms the BotB folder isnt in the right place.
    better remove everything BotB related from folder and try again.
    Unrar everything to your CoH root directory.

    ( Or wait for installer )

    1v1 works both real
    2v AI, and 1+ai vs 1+ai all do Sync Error

    Try to make a shortcut to Original game and start the oldfashioned way:
    Open shortcut properties and add " -dev -modname BotB"
    Would be intersting if this works. ( How big is your downloaded rar btw ? )

    Still doesn't works. The size of BotB map (with all the data) is 806MB.
    The following things are working:
    Intro movie,
    Loading screen,
    Doctrine's,
    Army's. (I can only choose Allies and Axis, so that is working)

    been trying it with shortcuts and so forth
    what seems to be happening is:

    if you have multiple people plus AI, the people on the same team seem to get lumped together ?
    it sync errors but all the buildings and units appear to belong to one person ?

    dunno if thats anything do with it

    I just finished a game, and boy this mod is good! I had no trouble installing it, and enjoyed the movie you guys created. Skins are very nice, AI is quite clever (ignoring other points, it captured the one which paralized my whole income!) and I didn't notice anything bad about the weapons power (penatration, damage). Congratulations to the team.

    Now the "bad" things. As soon as Iwas in the main menu, I saw that the left side is somehow "cut off". Check picture if you'd like:

    I don't know, but I thought that was due to my resolution (1280*1024), so I tried to lower it (1024*768). I confirmed I wanted to keep the new settings, and then while it was loading it crashed. No need to reboot the computer, but had to click my shortcut to play again. Note that the settings were saved, and seeing the menu screen was still "cut", I changed my resolution back to the original I had, and the same crash occured.

    Lastly, one very minor graphical issue. Check the fallschirmjaeger's helmet in the picture.

    Edit: Screenshot #2 deleted. It is a known issue, without solution at the moment.

    Those are fragments of the foilage, that we couldnt get rid of. I assume, we have to live with that.

    Mainscreen: The way OF handles the Mainscreen is quite a nuisance, it consists out of 3 parts,( logo, background , soldier ) which are scaled to fit the screen solution, or not. that is bugged somehow, if modified, and sems like an "individual" error...

    @monkey soldier: So,now I dont have a clue whats going wrong there.
    Seems somehow, it cant find the data/art folder.

    Can you load the BotB Maps ??

    No, can't see the maps at all. The coding works, (I can see the squads) but there aren't any new icons. It either uses the old one's or it's a pink square. And the infantry squads aren't better. They're just missing RGM's or the units have VCoH skins. But the skins are there.

    Hey, I put the shortcut as how the manual told me to and all that happens is I just get the intro video. I put target as "C:\Program Files\THQ\Company of Heroes\Battle of the Bulge.exe"

    nope, the exe is just a batch program, which starts the movie, and the starts the game... sent you a pm.

    @The Pacemaker: Try to run BotBMod.exe instead.

    Guys, why not make proposals instaed of writing: Could grow, needs imrovement? This could help better.

    Brits are in the Mod btw, they are Call in Ability in US Armour Division doctrine.
    Any other would overemphasize the British Role in the Battle, as they joined
    the Counteroffensive more than a week later. Of the 17 Battlegrounds we provide,
    the British have been involved in only two: La Roche and Celles.

    There's an animation state for the MG, or at least I think there is.

    As for the frontal MG, the circular bump on the right side is an armoured cover for the MG port. I don't know whether it slid to the side, rotated, or flipped up or down, but the MG is behind it.

    I can play skirmishes but I can't join online games. Apparently my version is incompatible, according to a friend who tried to invite me (it told me I could not join the invited game). I only have original Company of Heroes, and it is a Steam version. Also, I don't know if this is related, but some of the tanks and other units have names like "$12860 No key" or some other number. Can someone help me please?

    i think your problem with the (insert random # here)key error is because you didnt put the BoTB.ucs file in
    C:\Programfiles\Thq\CompanyofHeroes\Engine\locale
    NOTE: dont copy and past that shortcut, it is probably wrong


    @Halftrack i cant seem to get the mod to work, i have v2.201 and the mod is exactly where all my other mods are, i have the shortcut the same way too. even the movie shortcut says "cant open application" after the movie is done. Could Vista be a problem?

    Fallschirmjäger Kompanieführer has both the throw grenade and observed fire abilities in UI position 9, so you'll randomly see one or the other in that slot.
    Jagdpanzer IV/70 has a top MG gunner that appears when it reaches a certain vet level, but there's no opened hatch, so his body clips through the hull. Also that vehicle didn't have a top MG, it instead had a hull-mounted MG in the front. Though I'm not sure if you can add one there with the "mix model" approach.
    I will solve those issues.

    This is intentional. There are photos of Fallschirmjager riding on the back of a King Tiger, one who is carrying a Sten. A similar idea was also implemented into the Waffen SS Panzergrenadiers, where one member is carrying an M1 Carbine. These are just to add a little diversity into gameplay.

    Me and some of my friends try to play online and we can't seem to. It say's that we have incompatible versions which we all downloaded the same newer file. I can join some other people online but my friends say that the mg34 German guy is pinked out. Any ideas why we can't join with each other?

    ok so my finds that have an incompatible versions can play with each other and I can play with other people online ???

    Try running the Battle of the Bulge.exe.
    I don't seem to get a pink screen when I run that one, although the other one does do that.

    nevermind about my crashing problem i fixed it. i chose extract to folder, instead of extract (so i had the movies and stuff in the mod folder, not in the CoH folder)

    EDIT: i dont see any graphical bug on the menu like many people say. i have my reso at 1600x by 1400x (widescreen)

    please fix or change:
    - make real penetration of anti tank guns (axis KwKs are to weak, US to strong)
    - the P4H and stug have to weak armor (both 80mm, and ingame absoluty paper)
    - the sturmtiger is kind useless (tow slow recharge, bad accuracy, to expensive)
    - T34 need cost like 75mun and increase the rechargetime
    - king tiker need better armor model (take damage from small ATGs like 37mm and 57mm)
    - change values of ATGs (the M1-57mm is to strong)

    This mod isn't meant for total historical accuracy. The skins and the units maybe, but not penetration and armour values. They need to be balanced, or else the gameplay will suck.

    didnt haltrack or someone say BotB used Warnstaffs AI mod? maybe for the next release could you use another AI mod? warnstaffs mod still spams tanks.

    I know of an AI mod i found it on the forums but i cant find the thread with search. its called "AI Enhanced".

    The Mod will, in its core , stick a lot to the Vanilla Gameplay, but will alter many things.
    Our intention is to add a little bit more realism and some units and to reflect the atmosphere of the battles in the Ardennes forest. Historical accuracy is the key.
    Overall combat data (range etc) wont be heavily altered. Maybe some tweaking here and there.

    i found a bug, the abiliy the 5th panzer army has that gives them 400 fuel ( i think its called "fuel depot capture") is supposed to cost 250 MP, it costs 250 munitions.
