Yes, that is my responability. Although the main problem with the US M2 105mm Howitzer is that it's "arms" cannot close, like the 50mm Pak 38 and the M1 57mm.- towable guns ( AT and Arty )

Okay, once again:
sorry for this long wait, I hope you guys have a little more patience, but I am quite occupied with RL workloads...
The main problem of bringing BotB back to life is the AI.
The damn thing doesnt build any vehicle buildings...
but sweeten will hopefully help me out, as I am a total AI noob.
So what can you guys expect:
1. A release of the Mod for 2.6 in the "as is" Beta state.
Small things have been fixed and added, some of them glitchy, but playable... as an attempt to bring the mod back to life.
- 88mm Flaks will be in emplacements
- Flak 38 Quad buildable for 7th Army tree
- Bofors 40mm buildable for US Infantry tree
- towable guns ( AT and Arty )
- Visible units in Halftracks, able to fight out of the compartment
- some changes to doctrine trees
This version will hopefully released soon.
2. If we regain a player base, we are going to adress all that stuff and make it work properly,
develop the mod further as well as adding proper new vehicle models and animations.
As always no ETA, sorry... BUT a clear "YES, we will!"
Sounds cool halftrack. I really loved your mod (though there were some patches which spoiled it a bit), but I am really looking forward to your 2.6 release .

Great to see your able to devote some more time back to this Halftrack! Don't worry about the players, we never left, we just hibernated till there was some more news. I'll bet as soon as you make an official v2.6 release everyone will be coming out of the woodwork.

Agreed. Best mod. Tried both Blitz and N44, and neither was as cool as this one.
EDIT: Well I'm just stating my opinion. I just find the skins, weapons balance/realism, ATC system, and maps to be amazingly awesome.

LOL - no that's OK. I was just kidding. As I told HT, he was one of my mentors and I'm happy to get this great mod back on track. In the "realism mod" department, I consider N44, BotB, and Blitz to be a family of mods all working together. We all route for each other and help each other. As HT said to me yesterday in a conversation, you can never have too many good mods! And BotB is certainly one of th best.EDIT: Well I'm just stating my opinion. I downloaded this mod just before i bought coh... but it was patched to 2.6 so i was like (+^+). So i played blitz and i love it... i have no idea what the gameplay of Botb is like, is it like BLitz gameplay-realism and one shot kills? hope so

actually it uses lots of Blitzkriegs tank weapon stats.
As Blitzkrieg, BotBs main goal is realism, which you hopefully will see.
But BotB focuses ONLY on the events in the Ardennes region, between Dec16th 1944 and January 25th 1945.
Halftrack, with the Red Army entering the CoH modding society, you can perhaps even expand this mod with Unternehmen Sonnenwende and/or Unternehmen Frühlingserwachen.
Every mod that works for 2.301 does not work for 2.6, but the reverse is true? (That is, do mods that are compatible with 2.6 also compatible with 2.301?)
EDIT: Also, any vehicle-mounted MG42 on the mod right now has ridiculously low accuracy, hardly killing anything, even on stationary. This is especially harmful IMO, because most MG42 can only be added to a vehicle at the precious cost of 75 munitions, a price way too high for what they do right now.

@vonDietz: IMO BotB is more balanced, but in damages and penetration it is quite the same.

We provided a hotfix long time ago, but it HAS bugs,
and the AI wont build tanks.
I am working (RL) a lot at the moment, although the 2.6 patch for BotB is almost done,
it will have to wait about two weeks.

Yes, updating the modules is easy, but as Halftrack said, the racebps are old, and need to be updated. Same goes for .scar files and more.

Yes unfortunately it goes further than that and its all the extra numbered extensions relic has added to everything, they all need to be transfered over from the new ones as some of these affect things down the track and cause serious issues/crashes. And for those who dont know when i say numbered I'm referring to ones that modstudio doesnt know, and if some of these need tweaking to match other parts and you dont know exactly what there for, it makes for alot of trial and errors in many areas if there serious issues with big older mods. I know for a fact that this is a major issue in the racebps having already revived/updated some mods, but as stated the racebps is only the tip of the iceberg in many mods, as many have there own scripts also to function along with the mod

Kudos to those who created the BoB mod and for updating it to 2.061
I've seen a few screen shots and it looks GREAT
And it's a Campaign I have read many books on.
I have changed some things in data esspecially ai and it works for me (ai build jeeps halftracks stugs shermans etc but it have some bugs ai is very easy to beat). Probably new release will be great I'm sure about that

Gentlemen, let me remind you not to ask for updates for mods. It merely clutters the thread. The mod team will definitely let you know when they have new things to share.

The Mod is NOT dead at all, but YES , on A VERY slow modding process.
I wanted to release it today, as we "celebrate" the 55th Birthday of the offense, but I didnt achieve this goal.
I have been working a LOT in the last months, and as I spend my whole day at the comp, sometimes till late in the night,
I have neither the time nor the motivation to spend the rest of the night at the comp again.
So, as I am the only one working at the code and organizing the mod its a slow progress.
Additionally, I find things to fix everytime I work at it...
So, hopefully it will be released before Christmas. Hopefully...
with a tutorial i can help. i don't know the bases but i can work and i have much free time to use...
