    Need help with AI on custom map

    First off, I just want to say this is not my first time creating maps for CoH. I'm actually working on my 4th one now and trying desperately to finish it, but this one issue is holding things up. What's happening is the AI in positions 4 and 5 in an 8-player map aren't doing anything. What I mean is, they will send out some engineers, and take certain points (not necessarily the closest points), but they won't build anything! Position 4 is on the Allies and position 5 is on the Axis, and neither of them will build a single structure. This is true for both modes of play (annihilate and victory point).

    I've tried deleting, replacing, and reassigning the HQs. I've tried re-painting the territories. I've tried replacing all the strategic points. I've tried everything I can think of, but nothing works.

    HELP!

    Ah, the infamous retard A.I. errors. I have never successfully pinpointed the exact cause of this terrible plague, although I've noticed that the A.I. gets real picky about the distances between HQs (More space between HQs = better). Also, keeping them a bit further from the map edge has proven beneficial in getting them to function. However, I must admit that I haven't any real idea as to what exactly causes them to take a shit in their own brains as they love to do.

    Had that problem on my invasion map too, it has only to do with the HQ territory, make sure its all passable and make it big, you have to try around, it took me 10 trys or so until the ai build, never understood exactly why.

    Thanks for the quick responses. Finalizer nailed it... the HQs were too close to the edge of the map. Now that there's more space, the AI isn't being retarded.... well, not AS retarded

    Thanks guys, I really appreciate it! Hopefully now I can get this darn thing released soon.
