This video has some footage of the flakvierling and a stuka. I remember people wondered how a stuka fired its AT guns (for those who are equipped with the 50mm's).

youg gotta love ww2 nazi propaganda movies![]()
Yeah, especially the ones dated 22 March, 1945....
More 20mm Vierling and 37mm Flak (ala Ostwind) used as light artillery, an MG42 producing a tornado, and FlaK88s.
Hoping CoH2 Ships With Worldbuilder....

Wow, the MG42 sure isn't like that in CoH =p

In this one you can also see the nebel in action.
There's no MG-42 in that movie, it's a mg34. But the MG-42 does sound different in real life compared to the one in CoH.
The MG-42 in CoH sounds more like its real-life counterpart than .30 cal does, IMO.
MajFauxPas:
Actually, that's a 37mm FlaK 37. The weapon used on the Ostwind is the later 37mm FlaK 43 which had a higher rate of fire. In addition to their intended roles as AA weapons, they were also used against light vehicles and sometimes for infantry suppression.
Well, I spendt the better part of last year firing a MG-3 (identical yet updated version of the 42) and It's sounds quite different, might be due to the 7,62 ammo though. Not sure about the 30. cal, never heard one fire. The MG-42 in CoH sounds more like its real-life counterpart than .30 cal does, IMO.
Edit: It's 1200 rpmIt can be increase additionally if you don't clean the muzzlehead properly, but then the rpm can get so high that you risk jaming or breaking the mg.

The Mg42 had a very characteristic sound due to it's very high rate of fire, around 1300 rpm IIRC.
here you go, mg42 in action. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BDPW_u4EHuU

lol, the MG42 was an absolute beast in real-life. If it was to be modeled in-game as to what it was in real-life, it should literally pin all units in earshot and be equivalent to a quad .50cal vs the infantry it's firing against.
I can tell that those guys fireing that Mg-3 are quite new in their mg training. (and the microphone on whatever that shot that clip is reallt really low quality stuff)here you go, mg42 in action. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BDPW_u4EHuU

This video is abit more representative:

Edit: There's a bit of an echo in that clip because of the surrounding mountains, but you get the idea![]()
Hey everybody, though for the topic, the Stuka definently would look more the part of aircraft support then its twin engine counterpart. And thos Flak guns could help screen against those P-47s (as long as they don't get rushed).
MG3 = Awesome, MG42 was a good design and I am glad that its still being used.
For the Emperor!
the stuka was at its best in the desert and europe (1940). and even in the desert it had trobel with the RAF.
