Hi,
If you are having graphic problems, it may be because you don’t have the latest video card drivers. Please look into your hw2.log file. (I.e. it’s the file that UberJumper has been asking you to post the content of on the forums). By default it is located in your C:\Program Files\Sierra\Homeworld2 Demo\Bin\Release folder. The useful lines of text that we are looking for are at the top of the file:
Case #1:
Using ATI Technologies Inc.'s 1.3.3842 WinXP Release RADEON 9000 PRO DDR x86/SSE2 renderer (Suspected driver is atioglxx.dll 6.14.10.3842)
Or
Case #2:
Using NVIDIA Corporation's 1.3.1 GeForce4 MX 440/AGP/3DNOW! renderer (Suspected driver is nvoglnt.dll 6.13.10.2940)
Solution:
Case #1: These are old ATI drivers (3842). The latest known working version for ATI is 3878.
Case #2: These are very old nVidia drivers (2940). The latest known working nVidia drivers are 4523.
The nVidia driver will report either AGP or PCI. You want AGP.
I have also read reports of a slideshow problem. It may be related to the PCI motherboard problem. Please read the following thread and make sure your motherboard has the latest drivers.

Thanks for your feedback, and I hope this will help some of you.
