    64x64?

Okay, I'm confused. Does it have to be forced into 64x64? Or does it simply need to have NO DIMENSION larger than 64 pixels?

Wouldn't forcing a rectangular image into a 64x64 size throw off the proportion?

I'd just like to quickly mention that in Photoshop CE it *doesnt* have the same transparency as HW2 so you *will* have to use the alpha channel. oh, and I do believe i have the most evil icon ever for my fleet.

    Use this:

Just save a single frame, and not the whole badge.

Final prognosis: Photoshop was useless, The GIMP owns all.

I created my badge in Photoshop. Looked great. Tried to save it to a TGA a number of times and all I got was a blank badg every time.

So finally I gave up and downloaded The GIMP for winbloze (already have it in Linux, so I know how to use it - it ain't exactly intuitive, heh) and turned out the badge in a jiffy.

More proof that Open Source Works (tm).

Ok. I tried using that Descent III program. None of the images I loaded into it and saved as a frame worked (64x64 32-bit .tgas originally done in Photoshop 6), and the one I DID manage to scratch-make isn't transparent and as such looks worse than it normally would. Any ideas on the former, and is there a tutorial on making alpha layers with the Descent III thing?
