    Ok this is for IW, who need the tech tree again, and for anyone thats curious to how the tree will go.
    the buildings

    Hq; then the icon; then the black tower; then 4 become available that can be built in any order, bloodgate, skullgate,fleshgate and the achilpoly, then once all 4 are built the throne of khorne becomes available to build.

    units in which buildings;
    hq;gimpy builder, beast men (when done)
    icon; khorne builder
    black tower; kwe marines, berserkers, chosen, and kwe lord
    bloodgate; bloodletters, dca
    skullgate;juggs, jugg lord
    fleshgate; fleshhounds, skyla
    achilpoly; bikes, rhino, dreadnought, brass scorpion, doomblaster
    throne of khorne; termis, bloodthirster

    so 18 units in total so far, not including upgrade things like asp champions, irondogs champions etc. + more might be added on later

    the current DOW engine makes it impossible to have more than height team (ie players) in game at the same time.

    well people have been working on kwe whilst i was at uni, and as you see on my blog a ec questor is well under way as well as some new chaos termis.

    WOW very very nice, awesome model i especially like how the CSM on the juggernaut had a deamonette trapped in a cage just one suggestion the dreads should spawn with a chainfist cc arm, i found your take on the bloodthirster GD to be "intresting", however i must state that the death cultist should not have stealth as it is considered very un-khorneish

    Hmm there's no bloodthirster in that vid, strange. the dca comes from a passage from the old gw website that no longer exists, Which stated something along the lines of "most death cultists belong to the chaos god khorne, but hidden in the midst of the galaxy can be found death cultists who devote their blood-lust to the emperor" leading to a dca for khorne. it also allows for varied gameplay, kwe could easily become an army that could only be used in one way, charge and assault; repeat(and that would also cause path-finding issues). so kwe is fulled full of unique things than can be used to add gameplay variety.

    Thanks guys, I think people are mistaking the chaos spawn for a greater demon, it has the UI of the bloodthirster but it s not a bloodthirster. I haven't shown the relic units as of yet, i think there's a few others i haven't shown, ill show some slaaneshi units soon in a vid.

    Impressive. Really Impressive. I really like the way you have rendered and textured them. They capture the classic (ie 2nd-3rd edition) Warhammer 40K World Eaters. Should be a blast to play when this comes out. Keep up the good work.

    Two questions.

    1. Is this mod DC or SS?

    2. The World Eaters are no longer a unified legion (indeed they were the first along with the Emperor's children to break up) and are now several Warbands, some of which are notable ones, having featured in many campaigns. Will you include these warbands in the army painter or stick to generic world eaters?

    the mod is dc, so it will work with ss automatically.

    The mod is based off of the realm of chaos era, like many chaos fans i dont like the current fluff , style , codex of csm at all now. So its a proper legion regiment, rather than a war-band. It's meant to be the full spectrum of khorne rather than a small snippet. Army painter will be unavailable for it for 2 reasons 1; we've upped the texture size, to add ap on top of the higher res textures would make the ap files massive in file size. 2; ap is only 5 colours and cant do gradient colour. Even the red on them is graduated from a crimson to red to orange. ap would just colour those areas flat red.

    i really do like the old school rendering of the worl eater you managed to achieve, and very please to see my old(more than 20 years !! gawd !! ) Realm of Chaos "slaves to darkness" compendium revisited and given life. You did a very good job both in modelling and animating the different actors of this glorious period !!
    and you mange to give the Khorne World Eaters a glorious RED texture that give them a unique look and feeling in the DoW sequel . i do hope we will see this army of yours serving the lord of skulls on dedicated maps. I designed one big map 4p (Throne Skull) especially tailored for this army and will be honoured if you accept it for the SS version of the KWE mod. i have another map called Blood Tide for two players, and a four player map called Blood Pac, both these maps are scripted map that would need some code adaptation to fit the KWe mod.

    You can actually use the "dirt" layer to give a gradient effect, but I agree that it wouldn't be the same.

    jaw-dropping.

    Will you at least add some colourable part for gameplay purposes? It'd be kind of difficult to play the game if there is no way to tell which unit is whose.

    Brief update, Real life has gotten the better of me and i can no longer mod. Modding is a job that doesn't pay and as i don't have a normal job either spending my time doing hard work that doesn't pay seems a little backward. Especially when i should be spending the time trying to get some money.
    So two announcements,
    1; all my modwork has gone to Thud and Iron-warrior, who will continue it on and pass out stuff for the wider community, everything from the kwe mod to the hierophant, kos, storm-raven, you name it they'll make it available for you at some point.
    And 2 ; i started up my own miniature making business, i sculpt models in cg then transfer it to reality with 3d printers. So essentially I'm still making minis in cg, its just than now they become tangible in real life rather than wandering around in game. if you want to check em out click the sig, and if ya like spread the word!
    Its the end of my modding days which is sad, but its also a relief to have the burden off my back.

    And with the help of IW we'll progress it to completion. As a massive bonus, ALL World Eater voices are DONE (many throats were badly hurt in the attempt) and they are incredible. Even Angron himself was voiced

    I have coding (albeit my own) for most all the EC stuff if that got lost (i can't recall who was coding that tbh),

    As for KWE:

    All thats missing is a few 3d assets and maybe half an hour of code clean-up and it should be ready AT least for serious testing if not some kind of public alpha.

    There will be versions first for DC (since that was Catwells original goal) and then for SS as well.

    Integration into the DC campaign is a POSSIBILITY but it would require me finding someone to assist with such as i simply do not have the time for more beyond this, BIA, and DoC.

    SS campaign integration on the other hand is ENTIRELY a matter of people that are able to make it happen lending a hand im sad to say.

    Finally as to what (if any) flyer the World Eaters will utilize in the SS version at this exact moment I don't know for certain, and am open to suggestions (other than use the "no flyers scar" though that will be an OPTION).

    PS: Yes i know that "speaking of flyers you (i) need to update said mini-mod still.."

    I don't think there's a need for a flier unit if it just doesn't fit the race. IDH and Dawn of Steel are doing perfectly fine without a flying unit

    @ RMX; Against other armies that DO have fliers? Or are people using no-flyers mods/scar as well?

    @ everyone; Catwell DID at one point have Deathdealer Dreadnoughts in the army list(which iirc would make a pretty good counter to enemy flying units), info, thoughts?

    Also World Eaters armies don't RUN from planet to planet, they have fleets, drop pods, landers etc,

    If anyone has ideas, further input on armies without flying units vs those that have them, data on Khorne/World Eater used flyers, etc; please post away!

    As long as some ground units have ranged anti-vehicle attacks that are properly coded to attack aircraft, it's all fine. They can be targeted. The rest is just a matter of balance. Not having a flier doesn't give races any kind of real disadvantage

    I apologize for not articulating the temporal and logistical realities of the situation more clearly;

    My primary project has 56 armies

    It eats up a LOT of my modding time,

    As i stated it WILL take VERY little time to "finish" KWE (at least in a alpha/beta sense) but the key is me finangling the time to spend said half hour give or take.

    It WILL occur.

    I refuse to give any kind of timeline because from what ive seen invariably it doesn't work out.

    What i WILL say is atm im working out a stable and effective update system for DoC that will allow me to work at optimum speed.

    Once that's is in place (whenever that happens to be) i will be immediately diverting time to kwe (and BIA and White Scars) again.
