Khorne Berzerkers don't use regular bolters though, they preffer Bolt pistols and they generally only use them to pistol whip the enemy because they're too crazed to shoot properly
even so, if thats a pistol it still doesnt look like one and it has the bolter "grip" underneath the barrel. it would still be a bit thin and a bit to long to be useful in a combat scenario where he would be beating people by pistol whipping them in the face.

    ok ill field this one,
that khorne world eater marine is brandishing a bolter, ill have to check with the original bolter model to if its the correct size, an easy fix none the less.
khorne berserkers do use bolt pistols, indeed. but the image in question isn't a khorne berserker

Now I'm no expert on chaos but not all World Eaters are berserkers. I was under the impression that they could use terminators so that makes sense.

Awesome job. They look VERY demonic.
I like the style of their legs -- the joints and such remind me of things like Protoss from Starcraft or the Elites from the Halo series.
i told you it cant be removed, if you dont like that as an answer then go fuck yourself.

After looking again at the unit tree, is that then a KWE CSM? So, would this CSM be the bulk unit of your mod? (would be the generic World Eater marine follower of Angron & Khorne but not fallen into the Berzerker Cult to the max )
If that's so then given the very high quality of a 'mere' CSM, when you decide to replace the Relic Berzerker i can't imagine how embellished and worked the armour texture will be...

ok i think ive been a little cryptic, let me explain.
this kwe mod is based off of the khorne army from a long time ago (1990s), not the current codex's. when kwe was more of a chapter (like sm chapters) than just one unique unit available to to a undivided army as they pretty much are now.
alot of the kwe chapter has been removed in later army lists, things like assault marines, blood slaughterers , kwe csm, kwe renegades, kwe heavy weapon renegades, demon gifted kwe. all thats gone now leaving a bit of a empty shell. so this mod will revive some of these things, un nerf the bloodthirster , and re introduce old forgotten kwe epic units too, its a resurection of the world eaters legion as it should be

An idea on underlying Khornate/KWE mindset:

Seems to me that their mindset would revolve around trying to outdo one-another, to individually achieve the most 'kills' and carnage for the Blood God. More competitive, less 'stacks on'.

Make the commander unable to join squads (change his squad bonuses to auras), and reduce berserkers into more, smaller, squads. If, for example, berserkers were to be 4-8 men and 2 cap, then split down to 2-4 men and 1 cap per squad...
This would make squads more vulnerable to being to being wiped-out, and hence require more production and replacements to throw into the grinder (much to Khorne's pleasure ). But hey, no one said being a berserk was easy (or sensible, or an effective use of resources...).
On the other hand, the same resources worth of troops would be more flexible, better able to deal with 'dancing', and tend to spread the carnage and mayhem over a larger front or area. And just (to me) better catch the feeling and help set them apart from 'regular Chaos'.

It's the name of that killer rabbit from Monty Python, figures it'd be Khorne's personal bunny.

heres are berserker, a little rem of the csm but there close so why not. dual chain axed murder machines with pistol mitt. i wanted the bskr to be a little diff to the relic berserker, as it appears quite late in the tree and has to be differentiated from the kwe csm, who have chain swords.

    Sweet Blood God!

The only thing I think is a bit unfluffy is the storm bolter on the wrist, but creativity is always nice.

(Even though it'd be cooler to pistol whip somebody to death... >_> <_<)

/me piles little rodents skulls in a shrine for Catwell (one's gotta begin humbly )
This Berzerker is awesome catwell... THIS is a true Khornate frenzon-crazed warrior now. Love the helmet faceplate, looks very much like the 'skull' helmet in the CSM sprue. Also, very nice metallic render for the brass shoulderpads and backpack exhausts. Now, that's a killer with style!

hi guys, im glad you all like the 'zerker. there are some other heads to go with it too. oh btw thats not a storm bolter its just 2 bolt pistols attached to the glove, the stats aren't as good as a storm bolter.
news; kwe termis are partially in, the blood letters are quite polished now too.

Is there any chance that you guys might release a "combined" pack when both this and Emperor's Children are released so that the two ancient enemies can do battle?

Catwell said earlier Angrave is the BT lord, about a page or two back.

Not sure if its fluffy or if he thought it up himself.

  46. #246
my godness I culdn't evin imagine that kind of detail level achieved with the dow engine..

deffinetley the highest score on artistic impression

I like the old style blooodletters -they look genuinley demonic-
and really look forward for the other old khorne stuff

but I also like the new goatlike bloodletters from GW sice they capture the essence of Khorne better, allthough the concept is pretty unimaginative...(tall broad muscular goat-headed giant axe wileding, humanoids)

still could you include also a VARIATION of the new bloodletters(not a translation of the standard GW model) as an alternative?

Very impressive models. An impressive leaps too. Must have been a bear to animate.
As for the colour, I understand the rationale of making them pink, but may be they could be a little more red, to better reflect the thirsty one's colours ?
    Just some nitpicking.

lol indeed, i may have to redden the bls a tad in places, its hard to highlight red without it becoming pink. might have to make em glossy with shine for hilights.
    might work, might not.

an ngrave is a big epic bt, as all bts really are characers and have names. no two are alike really

For red, I'm making shadows in deep red/brown and the highlights in somewhat desaturated red-orange instead of white.
Don't know if it will work for your model, though.
Oh, and ^please check your PM box.
