and because the issue was both present in the two mods, more precisely both mod have issue that comes from the same parameters/xhatever setting.

The first mod (as opposed to hex and memory cheating) I ever did was to make a hilariously overpowered super unit to cruise through each of the campaigns without having to even try (I wanted to see all the Soulstorm stronghold missions playing as each army, mostly). He had a bunch of weapons, infinite jump, and turned all my other units invulnerable. Eh...good times....
But in the process of giving him all the weapons, I saw that sometimes he acted pretty weird with regards to facing and shooting. It was probably because I'd grabbed one of his weapons off of a vehicle, but I have no way of knowing since I didn't form a project or anything, just edited .rgd's till they cried. I started going for a more circumspect style of modding after that, but I learned a lot from just going wild with it.
So any news to give to the IDH world?

@Nonalyth: Patience, friend. Everything goes as planned. As Thudo said, it is a matter of priorities. The Dark Angels MOD is going EXTREMELY WELL, and I believe it is close enough (unless something unexpected happens) to public release. You will be amazed to see the quality, playability and uniqueness of the Dark Angels. It worths the waiting, believe me....
Sorry, I cannot disclose more, already said enough - Thudo will kill me! (or worse...).
I presume (though I may be wrong), the IDH will follow the same time-pattern, immediately after DA.

And thats what we aim to do. Dec is the final month but it hasn't remotely helped I work 10+ hrs each work day on IT stuff.2011 is all MS for me.

I am currently offering my humble PT services to only ONE mod (the excellent Dark Angels). But most PT issues are already found->solved there (we cooperate in perfect harmony - thanks to Thudo).

The DOW1 playing community is still very large and most of us want a new challenge form our favorite game!
I am formulating a plan, and will discuss it with my "superiors" when I have something solid in my hands...No promises, but stay tunned...

Don't know what you mean xchaos99 the link in the 1st post is still active so go grab the DC version of this mod, the SS version obviously hasn't been released to public yet.
Just wondering, aside from the SS release will there be an update for DC version? Or is it the end of the road for that one? Just asking as I no longer possess SS.

Not sure up to now nothing is planned AFAIK since the DC version back then was final. Thudo's idea is always walking forward as I know him since DC is lying behind us, sort of, I guess that's it then for DC.
But not on me to say so it's just a guess I'm pretty unimportant.

Please don't ask for ETAs, many modteams prefer to keep it under wraps in case of delays. If there was one, a team member would have said it.

I think I need someone from the IDH team to build the front-page thread with graphics and everything else like Compiler did years ago then thats half the battle. I'm handling final QA, packaging, and distro just like Steel Legions. I need that front end page here on RN created like Compiler then all I need to do is provide the d/l link once my piece is done.
Uh, maybe it has been asked, but could it be possible a changelog with all the changes made? (specially those related to balance and teching).
Been looking to this so perhaps soon I might be able to do some extra work, if you know what I mean Thud *wink**wink*.

Thud, you made need to ask a moderator to just add the link in as Compiler is long gone - that or just start your own SS version thread.
He don't want to create own SS version thread cause 1) it's still takes some time 2) it will oblige him to support first post and that's thread by himself in case of next IDH mod updates, etc. Thud is extremely busy last few years with other projects and tasks, so it is a good decision to shift responsibility for Public Relation duty to someone else from IDH team
I suspect that it would take a very long time. There was about 6 internal builds during about 3 years since last public release, each build with large discussion, change commits and reverts, etc. Even a reading of all those threads takes hours, not saying about compiling it to a summarize page. You better ask Thud to get access to dev. private forum and read what are you interested![]()

Yes and we're still finding real MINOR tweaks to IDH but this seriously needs to stop as you've all been waiting for this signature DoW1 mod since the last one in Dec'07.
