Shrp - Thanks man. However, I'm reluctant to contact him directly. He'd probably frown upon the 'deal' if I'm involved. Nevertheless, I have an idea.

    Downloading now thanks

    Won't do much until I have Compiler's approval (I've e-mailed him).

  6. #1906
I'd like to see Compilers work with ID get some use in other mods. It's a shame to see it not being put to full use for the community imo.

Why you say that? I thoroughly enjoy it ever since its release and even to this day I seems to hold its own being both fragile and super-powerful based on many balancing elements. I did some massive playtesting in Soulstorm with Beta2 and its quite balanced.

    Thudo-

Many thanks for the update. I just played about 5 games with DH_ID (3.1 AI). No hint of a problem. Beautiful mod and excellent AI. I, of course, appreciate the excellent work of Complier and other DH_ID modders.

Sorry Thud I won't be in this time, but last time I checked the T4 with 4 hardcapped dreadnoughts was sheer madness, if a landraider came in then it was a goner for the other player. This was Soulstorm Prepatch, of course.

    HE SAID YES!

Okay then. I'll start on this carry-over once I've got the Deceiver melee animations dealt with, and possibly the addition of swords to celestians if I can be bothered.

Wow Compiler actually allowed DH_ID assets to a balance mod? Superb!

    @Swanky - ok?

Thanks for the release, thud. I'm testing it out now.

On another note it would be nice to see something like this come out for Steel Legion. That was one of the best full-race mods and since Soulstorm has been patched into working order, it needs to migrate as well.

    **UPDATE**

Just talked with Compiler -- he will give the AE code to whomever wants to finally get DH_ID fully SS-compliant. This won't be a lot of work but mean quite much to the community so this prized DoW mod project can finally be officially completed for the last DoW1 expansion. Any quick takers?

I hope DoW FoK team will include IDH in their amazing mod now it is made available to community

  20. #1920
I'm not too sure that it's for the community, more likely that the Information is there for someone to piggyback off the work already done.

I have E-Mailed him already over the last few hours about whether the coding and the models are for the public to use in the own mods. As you'd expect, no answer as yet. but still hoping.

  21. #1921
They are not, unless he's changed his mind which I doubt.

  22. #1922
i don't see why he would release them to everyone...

Compiler did nearly all the AE and I 'think' the coding, a lot of the art work was done by others, hell, compiler paid for some of the models.

Last time I checked models were not ok to use publicly.

I do remember him saying that you could use the mod as an included mod for your own mod, whether he minds you fiddling with the balance is another matter.

    Beta Tested:
    [Inquisition: Daemonhunt]|[Tau Mod: Exiled Union]
[Relic Yearbook Profile 2007][Relic Yearbook Profile 2008][Relic Yearbook Profile 2010]

Unhappy with the decision by Relic to not support modding for DoW2 sign the petition here

Hmm, its been awhile since im been on these forums has this Mod come out of beta yet for SS? And has games workshop just created or more like melded a new faction all together daemons? are there own faction now apparently? will this be included as it would be the Inquisitors reason for living? Ive always wondered why they never just melded the Sisters of Battle and the Daemon Hunters its not like they ever plan on updating them anyways...

I can't belive there are no AE coders around. AE coding is the easiest part of dow modding. Geeeeeez...

Edit: removed hinting toward my sig.

I could have a go at porting it over to Soulstorm.

@Corncobman - you could work with UnD to do this as the community needs this done. U can directly interface with Compiler as he is waiting to be corresponded with on this.

DH_ID fully-certified SS build is ready for testing in a couple of days. Just need to find a place to hold an internal test on Compiler's old forums. I don't have admin there.

    Yep.. more testers the better.

Edit: Compiler asked me to send all potential DH_ID for SS testers to HERE, register to the site, then go HERE and make yourself known you are interested in playtesting.

Hi, minor necrosis of this topic if you don't mind.

Do you (as In Compiler & Team) plan on releasing the RGD files for the Inquisition Daemonhunt mod in the far FUTURE?
    (Or at least sharing them?)

The reason I ask this is, when I finally get a PC good enough to run DoW at 30+fps. (whenever that is)
I would like to add the Daemonhunters to my DoW, with my own stat system.

It would be for personal use of course, and I could go on about my tried and tested stat system for DoW (it's really good! ) but I'll await your reply.

Mind you that I will also be asking the Witch Hunters mod as I plan to include them aswell.

    - Well once we complete the DH_ID for SS beta test then everyone will have at it.
    - Good luck with contacting KRMZ re: WitchHunters -- he responds to noone anymore so unlikely you'll ever get what you truely intend except for private use of that Dec'07 public beta.

Is the a grid hotkey layout for the DC version??
I made one a while back. Here ya go.

    http://files.filefront.com/KEYDEFAUL.../fileinfo.html

    that goes in

    C:\Program Files\THQ\Dawn of War - Dark Crusade\Profiles\Profile1\inquisition_daemonhunt_dc

    or

    C:\Program Files\THQ\Dawn of War - Dark Crusade\Profiles\Profile1\combiner_dc

depending on if you start the game with the combiner mod or not. If the profile you are using isn't the only one then the number of "profile1" may need to change.

edit: I should mention that most of that hotkey scheme wasn't done by me. I got that off of DoWsanctuary and simply updated it for Inquisition: Daemonhunt.
edit2: also after looking into the file again. It is really easy to see where my work started. I got all OCD on makeing sure all the ='s and hotkey's were lined up.

The DH_ID's key bindings/shortcuts will be in the forthcoming Soulstorm build as well.
