    I just listen to the GK Cmdr sound sample. I like it very much, good work compiler . The sound effect is quite good too . Any news when the whole voice set will be ready...

    Just some differences in annunciation, no problem really considering High Gothic is a make believe language in a setting 38,000 years in the future.

    As for voices being done I think the last bits are coming into right now so I would say sooner than later

    No compiler i can hear your Accent, then again i'm good at finding things like that...
    Also High Gothic sounds something like Latin or so GameWorkshop said.

    Out of curiosity is the music Original works?

    Once you know the real latin the Gothic sounds pathetic...

    cool the voices are almost done... great . I could not figure out an french accent from the GK cmdr sample of compiler... well just my opinion, mainly i speak german so what do i know

    Yes, the music is original work.

    As for the accent, after all, it shouldn't be a problem.
    In the french version, the Eldar's guardians have a strong accent from Quebec and nobody complained.

    May be I will record some lines in French. It will sound suitably obscure to most players, as befits the Grey Knights.

    Actually, I will probably be the voice of the GK commander.

    Claymore is doing wonders with postprocessing.
    Want a sample ?

    um...to be completely honest, it's not quite as foreboding as it should be, not quite deep enough, and if i recall correctly, the commander doesn't even wear a helmet, does he? so he wouldn't echo at all, would he? but if i am wrong, the echo should be slightly more muffled, as if he's talking through metal.

    I disagree the GK Cmdr voice is really good, the echo effect could be removed (because GK Cmdr no helmet) but with slight echo, just like the sample the atmosphere is better and sounded more "powerful" and noble. It´s not easy to find a good balance between clearness and effect, you should be able to understand what is beeing said after all, i guess therefore the sample is imo

    Besides, you can´t do it in a way everyone is pleased

    The echo was added in order to represent the fact that all GK are psykers. Basic GK have almost no echoes, GK terminators and dreadnoughts have more while GK commander has most. Like if their words flow though your brain even few seconds after they have been pronounced.

    I for one can understand French and I hope you keep the voice samples in English just to keep them consistent with the rest of the game. I just think that it would kind of be jarring to have some of the units switch in to French from English. Anyway just my two cents, who cares if the units have French accents anyways, the Imperium spans worlds upon worlds there's bound to be some variety and not just English people!

    I think you did a good job on the voice for the GK commander. The only suggestions I would make is to put more power into the voice. Kind of like how Gabriel did it, you could feel the intensity when he spoke. Perhaps put a little more.. exclamation when you say Chaos? It kinda just ends real fast, expecting a yell and got a whisper. Good job on the voice though, and the mod, peace.

    Compiler, I think the voice sample was great, the only sugestion Id have for the "foul minions" line is better annunciation on Chaos. It sounds like Keis instead of Chaos, but it could have just been the echo. I didnt hear the 'O' was all.

    i just listened to the gk smple and found it pretty good. maybe a little more pronounciation on the the letter o in chaos
    thats about it other than the slight echo. if i was a daemon- and i am - i would definately hear it :P

    its not really quite that noticeable, but i am glad that there is something alot less american and still has alot of personality added to it.

    quoting my own words, but before anyone is remotely offended i mean this in a good way. most games are tailored to american needs simply for the fact that alot of games are made by them and are released to them first. alot of game designers do this because they are a bigger audience to please.

    As far as the "american accent", I actually agree. The imperium is billions, maybe trillions of different cultures, so I don't think everyone has a American or British dialect, do you? Sure, there are the Vostroyans and Valahallans, the Storm Wolves, etc. but why not French, African (one of the many dialects), etc?
    Gives more variety, which is always good IMHO.

    Sorry if that's a little off topic.

    I really like new textures in the update, "darker" GK captain face (almost looks like chaos infected, but I know that never ever happened to any GK and also textures for GK armors. which now looks little bit different than in original DC but in my opinion even better than Relic´s original! I like also that you made GK less in numbers but stronger, I red about them that "Grand Master is more than capable of beheading a Nurgle Daemon Prince or a Hive Tyrant with a single cut" so GK captain need to be really really strong

    Inquistion won't be as imba in DowXP though, even after the patch, this race is a cut above the others stat wise.

    (also they'd have to change all the melta stuff to the DowXP form... rather than the beams you've got that sort of flamethrower effect... and -whatever off the hp rather than pure damage on meltas... random stuff like that. for balancing and changes... reduced range like all the other XP races Melta... etc.)

    Cmon, Grey Knights are supposed to be op, they are uber elite soldiers, much much stronger than regular marines or any other units.. make them expensive, make them few in numbers, but for godsake, dont nerf them

    Nerfs don't always come in stats you know... I'm sure they'll end up capped and such though - and make their price actually reflect their use.

    I'm always curious if anyone would put the Adeptus Custodes in. (Random thought, I was just comparing GKs to the Custodians).

    Custodians are to GKs what GKs are to regular marines.

    Also Custodes are about a head taller than most space marines, I believe

    Custodians are the first marines created by the Emperor. Stronger than a normal marine and thats about it. Personal bodyguard of the Emperor. Nothing like the GKs who are are all psychers said to be created using the Emperors own geneseed specifically conditioned to fight the daemonic. Squads used to be sent along the Legions to begin with but were all recalled to guard the emperor in Terra and thats where they remain. Just to clarify things

    Umm, I already knew all that... I was just saying talking about GKs reminded me of the Adeptus Custodes.

    Also, the Custodes are more than a head taller than normal space marines. They're between Space Marine and Primarch size... and most of the texts describe the primarchs as 14-16 feet... whereas space marines stand 8-9 foot if I remember correctly.

    Ok I guess at the minimum that makes them a head to two heads taller and proportionately wider.

    Btw, why if this is an Inquisition mod do you not have the Deathwatch chapter? GKs are more well known... but they're Ordo Malleus military branch... another Ordo's Space Marines is the Deathwatch Chapter (the Ordo Xenos)... which technically isn't its own chapter, but the Veterans... requisitioned from all of the Imperium's Space Marine Chapters...

    Edit: Oh right Inquisition DAEMONHUNT. Sorry.

    The Imperium has many different cultures even though they all worship the same. The Emperor himself looked like an American Indian.
    So ya they could look or sound like anything, low Gothic isn't just one language.

    Actually, these are NOT deathwatch kill teams.
    They are veterans who have gone into the Deathwatch for a time and returned back into their chapters.

    A quick tip for those who would like to feel like they are playing the Deathwatch : play Space Marines, chose a jet black team colour, use the mod's badge named "lodge magister", and you'll get something quite close to the DeathWatch.
