I've sent Buggo an e-mail on this but it's just occurred to me to come asking on these forums about it. Shoudl help others in futre who have this issue.
I got my beta key yesterday along with a link to the closed beta forums and a password for it. But when i try to log in it tells me:
"invalid username or password"
Anyone else expiriancd this, and if so how did you fix it?

Do you have a Fileplanet account? If not thats your problem

works for me
click the link on the forum for registration/new users
-> login to gamespy account
-> enter forum profile info
-> click link to a part of the forum
-> enter pw
-> voila

You need a gamespy / forum planet account, which you use to login. Then you enter the password for the specific beta forum.
Never mind I managed it. When you get to the forums click on General discushions, then you'll see a box to put the password in.
I missed it the first time.
This would make a nice place for everyone to drop all their questions about the BETA in though.
An obvious one is:
If i'm not a fileplanet subscriber, how do i download the BETA? Will my beta key deal with that too, or don't you need to be a subscriber, just have a key to make it work once downloaded?

THIS post, you mean? Or the beta forum? If its this post, then this post isn't covered by the NDA. If you mean the beta forum, the beta forum is sanctioned specifically so beta players can talk to each other freely about the beta.
ive played alot of betas in the last years and one of the nda rules has always been: dont even say that you are in the beta. doubt its different with OF

It's alright to say if you're in the beta or not, but please do not post any content ABOUT the beta (screenshots, what the units are, stats etc) outside of the private beta forums.
