I totally would've massacred the conscripts, and had a good mix of weapons for taking out the Techmarine too.Stupid dice gods.

People aren't giving love to this challenge eh? It'll draw to its close soon enough.![]()
#403
I'm sorry Brian this is a really hard one for me to get into. The fact that the ladder standings haven't moved for like 6 rounds might have something to do with it. I check this thread pretty often though I don't post.
Once my team lost a round or two it was pretty much sealed and I lost interest.
It's pretty notable that the three teams in top placing all have a majority of Space Marines or Chaos Marines on their teams. Anyone without Marines on their team are all the wya down at the bottom.
Pretty tough.
Only one of us is going to leave here alive and it ain't gonna be me!
No one is above the law...of physics.
Yeah, to follow up on dooks' point, its great all the work your doing, but there isnt really any participation left for the players anymore, hence no real reason to post.
Carry on though, im enjoying watching those two do all the work
#405
Meh. Not really though, like Sword's Rusty Wok starts out bright but fails afterwards so that they can't enter the Finals at any chance.
As for MEQ standing up in the ladder......It's still somehow related to luck anyway, no matter you believe or not. Some strong squads of MEQ will still kill themselves/flee by minimum casualties.
Still, as I mentioned your team Raging Angels still have chance to kick into Finals, as the ladder is pretty close (well, it does being fixed for a few rounds but the point differences are just too small than in Moo's CCC in the past).
I'll get the last round done ASAP before I have my exam, and by any luck this should be finished in mid-January.
ps.Remember that teams that enter finals will have some time to rearrange their unit positions, so potential entering teams may start to think about that.
#406
Once is bad luck, twice is coincidence, three times is enemy action. As for MEQ standing up in the ladder......It's still somehow related to luck anyway
Basically it might be luck but when all 3 teams who are majority Marines stand in the top three slots I think it becomes pretty clear: get some marines on your team or lose.
The teams that started off well that were not Marines were hitting soft targets, once they faced off against the tougher MEQ teams they got smashed up and dropped.
I'm not saying anything negative but the trends are pretty obvious and clear. I do appriciate the amount of work that goes into one of these and I comment you on it. Moofreaky should have contacted you about our joint venture for the begining of the year?
#407
He did. He just hadn't came back from his vacation to do anything ATM.
And meh, it's not me who purposefully put so much MEQ in those teams, it's all by drawing ballots and teh teams afterwards have the chance to adjust their units for 11-round combat. Perhaps next time we can distribute one unit of MEQs into each team before drawing eh?:P
On the other hand, aside from Moo's request of the challenge, I should stop to run these for a while.
Take in to account we are still using that old Chaos Codex in this challenge, the new one's kinda different.
They've tone down the MEQs in newer Codexes (CSM, DA, BA)
Actually if you think about it, some of the Chaos units are unbelievable for a shooting challenge.
I am thinking of Thousand sons and Plaguemarines in particular.
Thousand sons have 4+ inv and AP3 bolters. Thier big drawback will be the requirement of the asp sorceror though. Could mean there aren't enough men.
Plaguemarines have T5 and FNP. That alone is amazing for a shooting challenge. Plus they can have the two special weapons even under 10 models.
Yea i agree I think in future shooting challanges that Rubrics, will be awesome
#411
That's why some measures should be set up for Fearless models. Such as Fearlessness wound in this case, if not normal units will be screwed horribly.
#412
Guess what, update time?
Not yet, I'm still messing around with my exam materials. But I promise, by worst, this challenge will end before February comes.
All good then. Looking forward to the next challenge you 3 are organising...
#414
I finished the exam tday finally and I come to work! And I finish this round with haste.

Round 11
No Cover Save is provided in this last round.
Marines Against Plasma vs Gunreapers
the fight
M.A.P. is currently at the top of the ladder, but JUST leading the ladder by a small difference. Basically Gunreapers are a meat shield type army against M.A.P.’s elite but few Marine units. Let’s see how the fight goes.
Under the command of the Officer the Imperial Guard unit opens fire (1/2/3 vs 6).
2 Meltagun hits kill the Meltagunner, 2 Plasma hit kills 1 while another is ignored, 2 Storm Bolter hit cause 1 wound, and a barrage of 19 Lasgun hits (10 6s) cause 5 wounds, killing another 2 Marines.
Returning fire 10 Bolter hits shred 7 Guardsmen to bits.
The Command Squad is barely not pinned on a 9, while Fearlessness wounds claim another 2 Marines (Snake Eyes).
The last 4 Marines continue to fire at the Guardsmen (1/4/4 vs 2).
5 Bolter this lead to deaths of 3 Guardsmen.
2 Meltagun hits kill 2, and 2 hits from Plasma gun kills 1 while another is ignored, Storm Bolter hit once and fail to wound, and 6 Lasgun hits cause 1 wound, which kills the Sergeant on a 2.
The Command Squad move forward and meet the Plague Marines.
A Meltagun hit kills 1, Flamers cause 15 hits in total and kills all of the remanants.
Those Plague Marines are then ambushed by the Tyranid Warriors.
Both Venom Cannon misses, a Devourer hits and fails to wound (Double 2s), and 6 Fleshborer hits (Snake Eyes) lead to 6 wounds (4 6s), killing 2 Plague Marines with Meltaguns. Fearlessness wound kills another Marine with Bolter (Monoeye and Triple 3s).
Then Nurgle’s Rot causes 2 wounds, 2 Flamers cause 10 hits in total and cause 5 instant wounds, all Bolter wounds and cause 2 wounds, bringing down a Warriors as Nurgle’s Rot bring down another wounded Warrior.
The last 4 all dies to Fearlessness wound on a Monoeye and Triple 2s.
The Plague Marines then march forward and face the Stealthsuits.
Marker Drone misses, Fusion Blaster kills another Marine with Bolter, and 6 Burst Cannon hits lead to 2 wounds, killing another Marine.
But the last 2 saves their Fearlessness wound on Double 3s and finds the Stealthsuits on a 5 thanks to Night Vision. 2 Flamers hit 12 times in total and cause 8 wounds (1 on Marker Drone, rest on Stealthsuits).
The Marker Drone is unharmed, but 3 Stelathsuits are dead. They barely hang in the fight on a 8.
The last 2 Marines attempt to open fire first (5/6 vs 5).
This time they spot the Stealthsuits on a 6, the Flamer wounds all 3 and a Bolter hit wounds so that 1 wound is directed to the Drone.
The Drone is killed this time, but the rest 3 wounds are saved.
Just a Burst Cannon shot is capable to hit the Plague Marines and it fails to wound, and they promptly flee on a 8.
Marine Against Plasma wins (5 points to 1 point)
Fodder's Big Bug Stout vs Great Escape
the fight
Both teams are unable to hit a place for Finals so the’ll just play for fun, but meh.
Both the Snipers and the Sentinels will fire at the same time (2 vs 2).
Both Lascannon misses as 2 Multi-Laser hits and wounds on 2s, killing a single Ratling.
Meanwhile 15 Sniper Rifle hits and cause 4 glancing hits and a penetration, and the unarmoured Sentinel will take 2 glancing hits and the penetration.
The unarmoured Sentinel is destroyed as a result, while one of the armoured Sentinel is destroyed and another is stunned.
Taking the chance the Ratlings fire again, causing 14 hits and just score 1 penetration! And just stunning it from firing next round!
Still the Sniper Rifle salvo is fired again, causing another 16 hits, resulting in 2 glancing hits and a penetration on 12.
The 2 glancing hit destroys its weapon as the penetration immobilized it so the Sentinels lost.
The 17 Ratlings then move on and are attacked by the Dark Eldar Warriors.
A Dark Lance hit kills 1, both Blaster misses, and 22 Splinter Rifle hits lead to death of just 7 Ratlings!
Still the last 9 are barely able to pass the Morale Test on a 6 and return fire, causing 6 hits and 3 wounds, killing just 1 Warrior! They’re barely not pinned on a 8.
Afterwards the Dark Eldar continue to open fire (4 vs 4/5).
A Dark Lance hit kills 1, Blasters miss on Snake Eyes, and 27 Splinter Rifle hits easilt mop up the rest of the squad.
Those 20 Dark Eldar Warriors then meet the incoming Dark Reapers, who also escaped from the former holding area. Not giving a chance to chat the Reapers open fire.
2 Plasma Missile hit on 2s and become 7 hits, killing 4. just 2 more Reaper Launcher hits the target and just killing 1 more. Those Dark Eldar then proceeds to run away from the Reapers on a 10.
The mob then comes to the Hammerhead, who’re staying in front of them.
Railgun hits and the submuntion hits all 4 and they all wounds (2 3s and 2 6s), while all Smart Missile hits and all wounds as well!
4 failed Armour Save (Snake Eyes and 2 2s) are exactly what the Hammerhead need.
The Hammerhead moves on, and since the Tyranid Warriors can’t hurt the Skimmer they’re forced out of the way.
Great Escape wins (2 points to 5 points)
Witches, Bitches and Communists vs WKD
the fight
W, B&C is one of the prime competitor for the Finals, whiel WKD is just striving for last glory. If the former falls here then Finals won’t be possible for them.
The Sisters manage to open fire before the en masse Conscripts (1/4/6 vs 5).
Both Inferno Pistol miss on Snake Eyes! Meltagun also misses on Monoeye! Heavy Flamer hits 6 and torch 6 Conscripts, and the Bolters cause 7 hits and kills 5. 39 more to go.
21 Lasgun hits in return lead to 14 wounds, killing 5 Sisters at once!
The rest 5 stays on a 4.
Then the Sisters regroup and fire again (1/5/5 vs 2).
2 Inferno Pistol hit kills 1, Meltagun hits and kills, Heavy Flamer hit 8 and burn down 7, and 3 Bolter hits kill 3 more. 27 more to go.
20 Lasgun hits the last 5 and cause 10 wounds, but all the wounds are saved!
The Conscripts then proceed to run away on a 8.
The 5 Sisters move on and face the Techmarine and his Retinue. On this spot they try to use Spirits of Martyr and passes on a 12.
Multi-Melta hits and wounds on 6s, Plasma cutter hit on 3s and both wounds, and his own Plasma Pistol cause 2 hits and 2 wounds. Thanks to the Invulnerable save all are saved.
The Sisters then return fire, Heavy Flamer hit all of them and kill the Tech Servitor but fails to wound the Techmarine, 2 Inferno Pistol hit kills the Gun Servitor, Meltagun hits and wounds, and 4 Bolter this cause just 1 wound.
Bolter wound is saved, but the Meltagun isn’t blocked on a 2 so the Techmarine dies.
The last 5 Sisters continue to roll forward as the Wraithguards come up and attacks them. Again they try to cast Spirits of Martyr and succeed on a 9.
Both Shuriken Pistol hits cause 1 wound, and 3 Wraithcannon cause 2 wounds on 6s! The Pistol wound is saved, and so are the Wraithcannon wounds by the Invulnerable.
The Sisters return fire, an Inferno Pistol hit cause 1 wound, Heavy Flamer hit all of them and wounds the Warlock and a Wraithguard, Meltagun hits and wounds, and 3 Bolter hits cause 2 wounds.
The Armour-piercing weapons kill 2 Wraithguards as another fall under the riddling fire, while the Warlock dies to the Heavy Flamer.
The last one stays by its Fearlessness wound.
Both sides fire at the same time in the second turn (3/3/6vs 3/5/6).
But the Wraithguard fails its Wraithsight test and stands still.
Taking the chance a wound from the 2 Inferno Pistol hits kill him off.
Witches, Bitches and Communists wins (5 points to 0 points)
Battle Knight Marines vs Rusty Wok
the fight
Because of the victory of Witches, Bitches and Communists earlier, BKM’s chance to get to Finals looks slim, but all aren’t confirmed until the end of this round. So they have to win in order to maximize the chance. Rusty Wok, on the other hand, is care-free and will just play for glory.
Both sides fire at the same time in the first turn (1/1/3 vs 1/3).
Sister’s sole Melagun misses!
Nurgle’s Rot cause 2 wounds, Autocannon cause 1 hit and wounds, both Lascannon misses, a Havoc Launcher hits and become 3 hits which just cause 1 wound. A Sister dies from these fire.
The Predator then attempts to open fire first (2/4/4 vs 3/6).
Nurgle’s Rot cause 2 wounds, Autocannon cause 1 hit and wounds, a Lascannon hit kills, and the Havoc Launcher misses. Another Sister dies from these light fire.
Meltagun misses on a 2 again.
Both sides fire at the same time again (2/3/5 vs 2/5).
Meltagun hits and penetrates the Predator.
At the same time Nurgle’s Rot cause no wounds, 2 Autocannon hit cause 1 wound, a Lascannon hit kills, and a Havoc Launcher hits and become 4 hits which cause 3 wounds.
The Predator is destroyed, and another Sister dies from the firepower, leaving just 8 left.
The rest of the Sisters move on and face the Bikers.
2 Meltagun hit kills 2, all 6 Bolter shot hits and wounds the Sisters, killing another 3 (Triple 2s). The last 3 stays on a 5.
In return the Meltagun hits and kills 1, Heavy Flamer hits all of them and cause 1 wound (Snake Eyes and a 2), and the Brazier hit all and cause 2 wounds. 2 Bikers die from such onslaught.
The Sisters stay on a 3 while the last 2 with 2 Meltaguns stay on a 6.
The last 2 Bikers manage to outrun the Sisters and fire first (4/4/5 vs 2/6/6).
A Meltagun hits and kills the Heavy Flamer Sister.
Then the Meltagun hits and kills a Biker, as a Bolter hit wounds, killing the last on a 2.
And the last 2 manages to stay on a 3 again.
Moving on, the Falcon pops out and attack the last 2 Sister. They then attempts to use Spirits of Martyr and succeeds on a 8.
A Pulse Laser hits and wounds, Scatter Laser score a hit and wounds, and 2 Shuriken Catapult hits score no wounds.
The Pulse Laser wound is saved, and so is the Scatter Laser wound.
In return the Meltagun hits and glances the Falcon, immobilizing it on Double 5.
Even immobilized the Falcon attempts to shoot at the Sisters (2/3/3 vs 1/3/4).
A Pulse Laser hit kills the Superior to preserve the Meltagun, Scatter Laser all misses, and a Shuriken Catapult hit wounds, killing the last Sister.
Even though the Falcon is downed, the Grey Knights have no way to harm the Skimmer so they have to pass their way for their brothers.
The Falcon and the Devastators fire at the same time.
Plasma Cannon hits and fails to do damage, as the Multi-Melta hits and penetrates the Skimmer.
A Pulse Laser hit kills a Marine, Scatter Laser all misses again, and 2 Shuriken Catapult hits fail to do damage AGAIN!
The dice are Double 3, meaning the Falcon got its Pulse Laser torn off.
Taking the chance the Devastators fire again, Plasma Cannon hits and penetrates, as the Multi-Melta hits but fails to damage on Snake Eyes!
The Plasma blast destroys the Scatter Laser on 2 and 5.
As the last time the Devastator fire again, Plasma Cannon hits and penetrates again, so is the Multi-Melta.
The results come as 5 and 6 and 4 and 6 so the Falcon is very dead.
Battle Knight Marines wins (5 points to 2 points)
Crouching Kitten, Hidden Mongoose vs Raging Angels
the fight
This can almost be said as the fight of the round. It almost judges who’ll take the last places for the Finals.
The Harlequins manage to fire first before the Fire Dragons (1/6/6 vs 4/4/5).
4 Fusion Pistol hits cause 4 kills, 2 Shrieker Cannon hits cause 2 wounds, killing 2 Fire Dragons. 7 Shuriken Pistol hits cause 5 wounds (1 taken by Exarch), the Exarch is saved while another Fire Dragon dies from the pistol.
The Fire Dragons barely fails to spot the Harlequins on a 5, but barely stays on a 8.
The Fire Dragons then attempts to fire at the Harlequins (1/2/4 vs 2/3/6).
But still they fail to spot them on a 4.
3 Fusion Pistol hits kill 3, removing the whole squad at once.
The Harlequins are then met by the Zoanthropes.
A Warp Blast hits which hit 3 Harlequins, wounding 3 of them and kills 2. Still the rest 5 stays on a 5.
Returning fire the2 Fusion Pistol hit cause 1 wound, 2 Shrieker Cannon hit cause 2 wounds, and 3 hits from Shuriken Pistol cause 2 more wounds.
The Fusion Pistol wound a Floating Brain, while the lighter fire wound another once. They pass all their Fearlessness wound though.
Both sides fire at the same time in the second turn (2/3/6 vs 6).
But the Brains are unable to find their targets.
Then 3 Fusion pistol this cause 2 wounds, Shrieker Cannon cause 2 hits and 2 wounds, and 2 hits form Shuriken Pistol cause another wound.
Both Fusion pistol hits are unsaved so a Zoanthrope is dead, though the rest of the wounds are saved, and so are the Fearlessness wounds.
The Harlequins then attempt to fire first at the Tyranids (1/3/4 vs 2).
3 hits from Fusion Pistols cause 3 wounds, killing the last 2 when the wounds are unsaved again.
The 5 Harlequins continue to roll forward when they come to blows against the Devastators.
4 Heavy Bolter hit cause 3 wounds, both Frag Missile misses on 2s, and 4 Bolter hits cause 2 wounds.
4 more Harlequins die in the progress, leaving the Shadowseer all on his own. But he still stays on a 6.
Then 2 Shuriken Pistol hit cause 1 wound, but no Marines die from these light arms.
The Devastators attempt to fire at the Eldar again (1/3/3 vs 3/4/6).
Still they barely fail to spot him.
But the Shadowseer already runs away on the failed Last Man Standing on 11.
Marching forward, the unharmed Devastators face the Scouts.
Their Krak Missile kills a Marine, and 11 Bolt Pistol hits cause just 3 wounds, which kills another Marine.
Despite these insignificant losses the Devastators flee on 11.
Crouching Kitten, Hidden Mongoose wins (5 points to 1 point)
Team Banana vs Meat Shield
the fight
The last game of the round. This fight will certainly determine the contestant’s fate since Meat Shield is one of the better competitor in the ladder.
Both sides fire at the same time in the first place (1/4/5 vs 3/5).
17 Shuriken Cannon rounds hit the Plague Marines and cause 14 wounds!
In return the Plasma Pistol of the Champion hit once and overheat on another, though the wound is saved and the shot glances a Walker. Meltagun hits and auto-penetrates, Flamer hit all 5 and glance twice, and 6 Bolter hits cause 1 glancing hit.
5 Plague Marines fall down at once (4 1s and a 2, including the Flamer one), the penetration immobilizes a Walker, totally 3 Shuriken Cannon are being torn off on 3 respective units and another is shaken.
The Meltagunner falls under Fearlessness wound.
The Champion, now on his own, decides to fire first before the Walkers have a chance to (1/1/4 vs 2/6).
He hit twice and scores a penetration, blowing up the already-immobilized Walker.
In return 4 Shuriken Cannon hits him and score 3 wounds, killing him on spot by a failed save.
The last 4 Walkers move forward and meet the sea of Grots. Still, that who can hurt the Walkers is that flimsy Rokkit.
Even by re-roll, the first shot is failed.
Then 9 Shuriken Cannon hits and score 9 wounds, killing 9 Grots as 3 wounds are saved. 48 more to go.
Seeing the lack of response the Walkers fire again (1/2/3 vs 2).
6 shot hits and score 4 wounds, killing 4 as 2 are saved.
By re-roll a Rokkit finally hit and glances a Walker, which shakes a damaged one from firing.
Then the Eldar continue to pour the volley against the Grots (3/3/4 vs 1).
9 hits are caused and score 8 wounds, killing 8 as 5 wounds are saved. 36 more to go.
The last Ammo Runt didn’t help the Slaver to hit the Walkers!
Both sides fire at the same time in this turn (2/4/4 vs 4).
But the Slaver is still unable to aim at the target.
The Walkers can, however, and score 10 hits and 8 wounds, killing 8 as 1 is saved. 28 more to go.
The Walkers then proceed to fire again (2/4/5 vs 2).
7 shots are hit and cause 6 wounds, killing 6 as 2 are saved.
The Rokkit keep missing the Walkers.
The Walkers thus open fire again (2/2/6 vs 2).
A stunning 13 hits cause 11 wounds, killing 11 as 4 wounds are saved.
The Rokkit hits finally and penetrates a Walker, but just able to stun it.
The horde starts to break on a 9, and it really breaks when the re-roll is a 8.
Seeing the rest falling before him, the Chaos Havoc squad stands up to the challenge.
Both Kai Gun misses on Snake Eyes! Both Meltaguns miss on Snake Eyes as well! 4 Plasma gun shots result in 3 overheats and a hit, which penetrates a Walker, disabling the undamaged one’s Shuriken Cannon and not harming the Marines. 3 Bolter hits glance a Walker once, shaking it.
Then 4 Shuriken Cannon hits cause 2 wounds, but both wounds are saved.
The Havoc squad then open fire again first (3/5/5 vs 2/6).
A Kai Gun hit glances a Walker, shaking one of them. A Meltagun hits and auto-penetrates, destroying another Walker. 2 hits from Plasma Guns penetrate a Walker once and destroy it, while the Marines are unharmed by the overheats.3 Bolter hit fails to do damage.
A single round of Shuriken Cannon hits and wounds, but the wound is saved again.
The last 2 surviving Walkers try to attack the Marines again (1/3/6 vs 1/3).
They cause 3 hits and 3 wounds, but no Marine dies.
Instead 2 Meltagun hits and auto-penetrates, but just manage to stun both! Kai Gun hit twince and both glances, destroying another Shuriken Cannon and stuns another. 2 Plasma Gun hits cause 1 glancing hit which just shakes the Walker, while the overheats do no harm. 3 Bolter hits do no damage again.
Since the last Walker is stunned the Marines fire again, a hitting Meltagun finishes the job.
The unharmed Havocs roll forward as they meet the Kroot.
A Kroot Gun hit fails to wound! 14 Kroot Rifle hits lead to 5 wounds (6 1s and 4 6s as extremes), killing 3 Marines at once! (Snake Eyes and a 2)
Still the rest stays on a 8 and open fire, Kai Gun hit once and kill 1, 2 Plasma Guns result in 3 overheats and a hit again! A Kroot is killed, but both Plasma Gunner die from 1 and 2. A Bolter hit kills 1. Mastery Test passed on a 8.
The remaining Marines continue to fire upon the Kroot (3 vs 2/4).
Kai Gun kills 2, and a Bolter hit kills another.
2 Kroot Gun hits cause 2 wounds, and 8 Kroot Rifle hits lead to 2 wounds (5 1s). Nevertheless the last 2 dies on 1 and 2, but the Bionic comes to the rescue for the Champion! He continues to stay on a 5.
Despite just on his own the Champion keeps on fighting (5 vs Double 6).
Failing the first Last Man Standing test on a 10 and pass it on a 3, a Kai Gun hit kills another Kroot.
A Kroot Gun hit wounds, and 3 wounds are caused from 6 hits of Kroot Rifle. But he saves all wounds on 2 4s and 2 6s!
Still the Kroot press upon the lone Champion (6 vs 2/3),
3 Kroot Gun cause 2 wounds, and 3 hits from Kroot Rifles cause 2 wounds. they cut him down again on 1 and 2 as the Bionic is broken for him to use again.
Team Banana wins (5 points to 1 point)
the MVP of the round
The MVP of the round
Meh, I'll say Worsle's Harlequins from Crouching Kitten, Hidden Mongoose. For the first time it's something with Shrouding/Stealth Generators/VoT/etc can enter the Round 3 fight, and he's just extremely lucky that Evolution's Floating Brains are just incapable to hit anything throughout this challenge.:P
Rahl's Sisters come close to second as they beat the Falcon immobilized before being wiped out with just a handful girls left.
QuixotesGhost's Sisters are close as well, considering they basically pass every Invulnerable save granted by Spirits of Martyr, against guns that'll kill them with ease.
the Final 4 of this Challenge
Who're in the Finals?
Now there's just 4 teams who can enter the Finals.
They're: Marines Against Plasma (47pts in the lead), Witches, Bitches and Communists Battle Knight Marines (tied at 42pts, but W, B&C will actually claim second since they beat BKM earlier) and Team Banana (tied with Crouching Kitten, Hidden Mongoose at 41pts, but they win over them earlier).
So congratulate the top 4 winners. Another post will be released after I wake up next morning.
You can make a final guess about teh Final Boss @#343!
==============================================
The fights are now over.
The teams suddenly shakes violently, and teh earthquake breaks up the mantle, engulfing the teams which are incapable to do well.
After the earthquake, it's clear that there're just 4 teams left. Facing each of them is a bridge, leading them to a open ground which has a tunnel entrance.
Whispers within the tunnels seems to tell the teams that: "Come, to the final stage of your fights."
The teams then move on. No matter what lies ahead, they must face it.
Elsewhere, Commander HunterSeeker is preparing his weapons.
This is the real deal.
And he won't lose.

Hoboy. Why must my teammates fail so much![]()
I am an Iron Warrior! Iron Within, Iron Without!
Sisters are doing it by themselves it would seem. Nice work teamate. :P
Proudly presenting:
Land Raider Randomus (a.k.a Drunkum Admechus)
‘A Chaos Warrior is never late, Neither is he early. He arrives whenever he bloody well likes.’
:BadBadger: - BL fan fiction forums.
Troops lost to Fearlessness: 36+3=39
Troops lost to Plasma: 5+2=7 (yay medic!)
Nurgle's Rot bodycount: 1+1 Tyranid Warrior(s), 4 Conscripts, 1 Tech Servitor, helped vs 3 bikes 2 harlies 3 scout marines
NIGHT VISION WOOHOO
That was some awesome Martyr'ing by WBC.
If the Falcon was glanced by a Meltagun, doesn't that mean it was moving fast enough to crashland from Immobilized? Or is this yet another Eldar perk.
lol @ ammo runts
Edit for Bets:
1. Sounds like it could be Tau
2. Buncha battlesuits; range means nothing so fireknife will probably be replaced with some extra fusions and flamers.
3. MAP!
4. Hmm, I'd like to say myself, but TheShadowDuke's entry has proven itself to be pretty strong too. The Noise Marines are lacking a tad in MEQ v MEQ action I think, though they're great against lighter infantry and vehicles. Meh, I'll bet on myself, and cry all the harder if I lose :P

Gotta get the thing roll faster.
==============================================
The teams went through the tunnel and enter a large, enclosed dome. It seems that this place is built inside the mountain. The door is locked behind so they must advance.
Inside they can see statis cells hanging around, within are all sort of units: Imperial ones, Chaos, Tyranids, and many more. The teams can even see some of their defeated foes. Frustrated, they continue to move on.
Finally, they arrive to an open ground, with something standing upon the stairs.
Then a voice speaks:"Welcome to this place, all of you. You're all the best of the best among the chosen units throughout teh galaxy."
Without hesistation all the team fire their weapons at once, but it doesn't work. An energy field is protecting those people from all those firepower.
"Show yourself, coward!" One of the crowd shouts.
But darkness still shrouds that guy.
"I am Commander HunterSeeker as one may call me."
"What's your intentions?" Another person asked.
"You all have been chosen to this place to fight against each other, like those breathens before all of you. See those statis cells when you come in? Those are the powerful yet failed samples, and will be studied by our people in order to create more powerful soldiers."
"You dare use us to help with your own agenda?" Another person shouted angrily.
"So what? Now don't waste the time. All of you should fight again, until there's just a single team left and I'll fight with them. Using all sort of datas collected fromthose before all of you come here, I've already made my best bodyguards."
He paused for a while.
"If you can defeat me, you can leave this place. But before that you must fight. THIS IS THE RUMBLE: FIGHT OR DIE."
The ground quickly divides the teams so they can fight with each other. Each team knows that they can't lose here and now, and with the knowledge about their well-known foes, gunfights erupt again.
And the commander is just standing there smiling.
Soon enough, all the combat knowledges from all races will belong to them, it just takes time.
Their superwarriors will be created, and no one can stop them by that time.
They'll then be the strongest in the galaxy and retrives their past glory.

The team who come out at the top will fight the Last Boss.
Top Fight: Marines Against Plasma vs Witches, Bitches and Communists
MAP get the best record in the past fight, only losing twice. W,B&C is pretty unstable in records, but their shapes are still good due to the Sisters' Faith AND they indeed defeats MAP in Round 2. It'll be the most awesome fight.
Survival Fight: Battle Knight Marines vs Team Banana
Like MAP, BKM consists of all MEQ units. Their strengths is the ability to mow down enemies in grater numbers of shots. Team Banana, on the other hand, while not as tough as BKM do, has proved their value by entering the Finals, and they had a close match with BKM in round 8. But this time only 1 team will live.
==============================================
ATTENTION TO ALL FINALISTS!
You now all have 4 days (till 13/1 if you're too lazy to count) to discuss with your teammates about the reposition of your units. Remember, you can only rearrange the orders of how your units will come out, NOT changing any sort of equipments/settings/etc. Only positions. After the agreement is made, just post it right here. After all of the teams have confirmed (or no one responds till it's 13/1) I'll start the ball rolling.
Your team modification will be your own team's busniess and I have no parts in it, nor I'll help to contact anyone. I don't care how you contact your teammates (E-Mail/PM/IM/Letter/Phone/Blackmail/etc.) but if no finalized team entry is posted for your team, your team will fight in the order as before.
So, let's kick in for the discussions.

Darn it. We win our final battle and still didn't make it through. 5th is not too bad though... Especially as it's technically joint 3rd. Go Mongoose Kitten.
Bloody sisters and their invulnerable saves. If only you could load a plasma pistol with psycannon plasma.

Hey, not my guys fault for not getting any actions, you guys took them out all by yourself!![]()
I haven't heard from Jianaran yet, though MooFreaky suggested this, and I think it's a pretty good idea.
Team Banana Order-
Rastani Helios (Immortals)
MooFreaky (Kroot)
Jianaran (War Walkers)
so wait, this is still going? Wow.

My dictionary don't consist of "give up", meh.
And it's near the end, so how will I stop it?
That's fine with me, Rastani.

*Final 12 Hours warning*
Due to time differences I'll allow some allowances. Afterwards I'll do teh Championship ASAP before going for Finals.
Haven't heard from my teammates but I think our original order will be fine. We'd have to wait for WBC to post in order to ZOMG COUNTER-ORDER them, but even then we're all equipped pretty similarly in this matchup I think in terms of AP and such.
we're doing it sneaky like.... turbo, pm'ing the order![]()

Marines Against Plasma vs Witches, Bitches and Communists
the fight
With both team staying the shape as they were in the Robin Round, it seems that both are confident to beat their foes. But according to the records, W, B&C was one of the 2 teams that beat MAP before. Will that repeat again?
The Sisters take the chance to fire first before the Marines (1/2/3 vs 2/3/6).
They attempts Divine Guidance and succeeds on a 7. An Inferno Pistol hit kills 1, Meltagun misses, Heavy Flamer hit 7 Marines and cause 1 Instant wound (which is ignored) and 2 more wounds (Monoeye and 3 2s), and 7 Bolter hits (3 1s and 4 2s) cause 2 Instant kills and 2 more wounds, but the rest of the wounds are all saved thus only 3 are killed..
Returning fire Meltagun misses, 5 Bolter hits (4 1s and 3 2s) cause 4 wounds, killing a single Sister.
Fearlessness wound tests for MAP……
1 dies.
The Sisters take the Initiative and fires again (1/5/5 vs 1/2/6).
Not saving Faith points for later, they cast Divine Guidance again and pass on a 3. 2 Inferno Pistol hits kill 2, Meltagun hits and kills, Heavy Flamer hits all the rest 4 and cause just 1 wound! (3 2s and a 3) And 9 Bolter hits cause just an unbelievable 2 wounds! (Snake Eyes, 5 2s and 2 4s)
1 failed save is ignored.
Then Marines’ Meltagun misses again, 3 Bolter hits cause 2 wounds (2 6s), killing another Sister.
Yet again Fearlessness wound test for MAP……
No Marine dies. (2 3s and 2 4s).
Both sides fire together in the third turn (3/4/6 vs 2/4/6).
Meltagun from Marines hits and kills, and 3 Bolter hits cause 2 wounds, killing another Sister, leaving 6 left.
2 Inferno Pistol hits kills 2, Meltagun hits and kills the Meltagunnner, Heavy Flamer wounds the Sergeant, and 5 Bolter hits cause 2 wounds.
Failing 2 saves will kill the Sergeant……
He does. (2 2s and a 3)
Morale Check for the Sisters……
Passed on a 8.
The 6 Sisters move on and meets the Plague Havocs. They attempts Spirits of Martyr and barely passes on a 7.
Then the Havocs fire, Nurgle’s Rot cause 3 wounds! Both Meltagun hits and wounds, 2 Flamers cause 12 hits in total and cause 9 wounds, and 3 Bolter hits (3 2s and 3 4s) cause 1 wound. (Monoeye and a 2)
Failing 8 saves in total will kill off all the Sisters……
1 Meltagun wound is failed.
And for the rest, there’re 8 failed saves (4 1s and 4 2s), barely enough to kill off all Sisters.
The Plague Havocs move on and the Stealthsuits spring their ambush.
2 Drones hit and cause 1 wound, Fusion Blaster kills 1, and 4 Burst Cannon hits cause 2 wounds. 1 more Marine is killed.
Fearlessness wound time for the Plague Marines……
1 more dies.
The Plague Marines then spot the Stealthsuits. Nurgle’s Rot cause 2 wounds, 2 Meltagun hits kill 2 Stealthsuits (Mixed Armour), a Bolter hit wounds, and Flamer hit all 5 of them, causing 2 wounds. (Monoeye and 2 2s).
Stealthsuits take 2 wounds and Drones take 3……
2 Drone dies.
Both Stealthsuits are saved.
Morale Check for the Stealthsuits……
Failed on a 10!
The rest 4 Plague Marines move on to face the Eldar Warlocks.
2 Singing Spear hits and wounds, 3 Destructors cause 12 hits in total and cause 7 wounds.
Failing 4 will expel the Marines……
2 failed!
1 more dies from Fearlessness wound, leaving the Champion on himself.
Rot causes no wounds, Flamer hits all 6 and cause 4 wounds. 3 Warlocks are killed.
Morale Check for the Warlocks……
Passed on a 5.
The Warlocks then open fire first again (2/4 vs 4/6/6).
3 Singing Spear hits and cause 2 wounds.

The last 2 Warlocks fire first again (Double 4s vs 4/4/5).
A single Singing Spear hits and wounds……
Champion’s killed!
The last 2 Warlock moves on and are attacked by the Noise Havocs. Desperate, they still struggle for a miracle.
2 Template weapons cause 2 wounds, 5 Blastmaster hits cause 5 wounds, and a Sonic Blaster hit fails to wound.
Failing 2 saves will send them off……
4 failed.
Marines Against Plasma wins
Battle Knight Marines vs Team Banana
the fight
Both teams adjusted their positions for the future fights, by the Sisters, Devastators and Grey Knights against Immortals, Kroot and War Walkers. Without changing the positions, TB was beaten by BKM before. But with the positions changed, will it be the same?
The Sisters take the chance to fire first against the Immortals (1/4/5 vs 3/4/4).
They attempts Divine Guidance and passes on a 8, Meltagun hits and downs, Heavy Flamer hit all 6 and cause 1 instant wound and 3 more wounds (2 3s and 3 5s), and from the 19 Bolter hits if they can cause 5 more instant wounds they’ll finish the Necrons from a chance of Self-repair……
Just 4 are caused! In addition to 4 more Bolter wounds.
The Immortal must save all 8 wounds to stay on the field……
Failed! (Snake Eyes and 3 2s)
Unscratched, the Sisters advance and are attacked by the Kroot.
2 Kroot Gun hits (QUAD 1s) cause 2 wounds on 2s, and 17 Kroot Rifle hits cause 10 wounds (all failed are on 2s).
4 Sisters are killed. Morale Check time……
Passed on a 4.
The rest then opens fire, Heavy Flamer hit 9 Kroot and burn 7, Brazier hit another 8 and cause another 4 deaths, Meltagun fries another Kroot, and from the 11 Bolter hits if they can cause 10 wounds upon the remaining Kroots they’ll send even the Krootox off……
Just 7 wounds! (Quad 1s) Though it means only the Krootox remains with 1 wound each.
Scared, the Krootox trio flee on a 9.
Finally the remaining 10 Sisters come up against their main enemy: the War Walkers.
18 Shuriken Cannon hits rock upon the Sisters and cause 17 wounds. It’s certainly possible for them to fail lots of saves, and if they failed 10 they’ll be off……
9 killed! (3 1s, 6 2s, 2 3s, 3 4s, 2 5s and a 6)
Only the Meltagunner stand alone for maximizing the chance of victory.
But then she runs away on a 8 (Below Half Strength with her initial Leadership, folks).
Then the 5 Walkers set on a course to avenge for their teammates, but first they must face the Devastators.
Multi-melta hits and auto-penetrates, Plasma Cannon overheats though the Marine is unharmed. 4 Heavy Bolter hits cause no damage! (Snake Eyes and 2 3s) Finally just a Bolter hits (Monoeye and 2 2s) which fails to do damage.
The penetration destroys a Walker.
13 Shuriken Cannon rounds fired back and cause 11 wounds. Given by the Sisters’ performance in the last round, it’s entirely possible that they’ll all got killed……
3 killed.
The rest 3 stays on a 6.
Afterwards the Marines fire their weapons first again (3/6/6 vs 4/4/5).
This round will be desicive, for the Devastators may kill off all the Walkers by themselves, or die in the attempt……
Multi-Melta misses! Plasma Cannon hits and cause 2 hits, just penetrating one Walker. 3 hits from Heavy Bolters cause another penetration.
1 Immobilized and another destroyed.
The remaining 2 Walkers fire their weapons.
6 hits. 5 wounds.
1 is killed.
Morale Check for the Devastators……
Failed on 11!
Since one of the Walker is immobilized, they’ll fire at the same time with the incoming Grey Knights. This is THE round of this fight!
4 Incinerators hit all Walkers, causing 12 hits in total, leading to 5 Glancing hits and 2 penetrations.2 hits from Storm Bolter fails to do damage.
At the same time 9 Shuriken Cannon hits cause just a disappointing 6 wounds!
As for the results……
Penetrations immobilized another Walker and destroys the damaged one.
The Glancing hits leave just a single undamaged Walker behind as the results are Monoeye, 3 3s and a 6, destroying the damaged Walker!
2 Grey Knights are killed.
Fearlessness wound tests……
All saved.
Taking the chance of the Walker’s stunned 3 Incinerators cause 1 hit each……
1 glancing hit.
Immobilized.
Then the Walker turned and fire at the Grey Knights (1/2/5 vs 4/5/6).
Failed to spot on a 2.
3 Incinerators case1 glancing hit and a penetration.
1 for Glancing.
Immobilized and Stunned for the penetration. Just 1 more step ahead……
Both sides try to fire at the same time (4/4/6 vs 1/2/6).
Walker fails to spot.
3 Incinerators fail to do damage. (Snake Eyes and a 4)
The Grey Knights then attempt to destroy the Walker (2/5/6 vs 1/3/3).
Yet they still fail to damage the Walker. (2 2s and a 4)
Walker fails to spot again.
The Walker then tries to fire at the Grey Knights (2/3/5 vs 4/6/6).
Failed to spot.
The flames fail to do damage again. (A 3 and 2 4s)
The Grey Knights take turn to fire first (3/6/6 vs 3/5/5).
1 glancing hit and a penetration.
6 on glancing. 5 on penetration.
Either way the last Walker is destroyed.
Battle Knight Marines wins
the MVP of the round
The MVP of the round
If you want to say about the Powerhouse, then it's Rahl's Sisters. The win earlier opponents with little troubles until they face the War Walkers, where they suffered great casualties.
Other players doesn't seem so influental in this round.
-----------------------------------------------------------
With the results if the first round can be seen, the victorious team of the first group is raised high upon a plafform, while the defeated team of the second group siddenly got grabbed by the tentacles around and being dragged into the ground, never to be seen again.
That means the remaining 2 teams can only have 1 to live and fight against the top team.
The Revival Round
the Revival Round
The Revival Round: Witches, Bitches & Communists vs Battle Knight Marines
Both know only 1 can live in this round. It's the changed over team versus an unchanged team. For the past records, it’s the W, B&C won, though it’s just by a slight margin. With the fight redone, will the result be the same?
Both sides fire at the same time in the first turn (2/4/6 vs 1/5/6).
Both sides cast Divine Guidance successfully by 7 and 11 (wow) respectively.
Ghost’s Canoness cause 2 hits by Inferno Pistol and kills 2, Meltagun hits and kills, Heavy Flamer hit 7 and cause 6 wounds (no instant wounds!), as 10 Bolter hits cause 1 death directly and 7 more wounds.
Meanwhile Rahl’s Sisters hit with the Meltagun but fails to wound! Heavy Flamer hit 4 and cause 3 wounds (no instant wounds as well), and 16 Bolter hits cause 3 kills directly as well as 8 wounds.
Time for the death toll counting.
Ghost’s Sisters take 11 wounds in total……
5 failed. (4 1s and a 2) Tolling 8 Sisters killed.
Then it’s Rahl’s side who take 13 wounds……
2 failed. (He rolled pretty high) Tolling 6 Sisters killed.
Then it’s Morale Check for both sides……
Ghost’s team stay on a 5.
Rahl’s team stay on a 8.
Then Rahl’s Sisters fire their weapons first (2/2/5 vs 2/4/6), as Ghost’s Sisters use Spirits of Martyr and passes on a 7.
Meltagun hits and kills the Sister, leaving the Canoness all on her own.
Heavy Flamer fails to wound. 7 Bolter hits (3 1s and 4 2s) lead to 5 wounds.
2 failed. The Canoness just has 1 wound left.
Both Inferno Pistol hits and cause 1 kill.
Then Canoness then fails her Morale Check and flees on a 10.
Battered, the 7 Sisters move on and face the Tau Stealthsuits.
3 Drone hits cause 2 wounds, Fusion Blaster hits and kills, and 4 Burst Cannon hits all wounds.
2 die from Carbine. Another from Burst Cannon. (Rest are 3 6s)
Morale Check for the Sisters……
Failed on 12.
The Stealthsuits then move on to face the Devastators, who is able to spot them at once.
Multi-Mleta hits and kills a Stealthsuit, Plasma Cannon hits and cause 2 hits upon the Drones which both kills, 4 Heavy Bolter hits score 3 wounds upon the Stealthsuits, and 3 more wounds from 3 hits of Bolters, meaning the Drone will take 1 while the Stealthsuits take the rest.
Drone saved the Bolter wound. The leader Stealthsuit is killed to preserve the rest.
Morale Check for the Tau……
Failed on a 9.
The Devastators march on, and face the Eldar Warlocks. But the Devastators feel certain that the Warlock won’t make a comeback in the last round even they’re killed……
2 Singing Spear hits cause 2 wounds (hit on 6s, wound on 3s), as 3 Destructors cause 18 hits in total, causing 14 wounds.
Totally screwed. (6 1s and a 2)
Desperate, the Warlocks march on and only face their nemesis: The Grey Knights. At this point they need the Dice God to intervene for even a slight chance of victory.
4 Incinerators mercilessly fires and cause 24 hits in total……
Which proceeds to tear down the whole squad as only 4 1s come up. (No Invulnerables, dolts)
Battle Knight Marines wins
------------------------------------------------------------
Another team got sucked into the ground as they're defeated. With only 2 teams left in the scene, it's inevitable that they have to fight each other.
And only one can live, as well.
Commander HunterSeeker is watching in the sideline, as the end is near for all of them.
Player Finals
the Player Finals
The Players’ Final: Marine Against Plasma vs Battle Knight Marines
The big game. After much of the battles and slaughters it’s this 2 team who come out in the top.
MAP is really a powerhouse from the start, and they defeated BKM before.
BKM is building up their strength fast, and their tactics changed for the foes.
The Plague Havocs and the Sisters are the key players here. Their status will certainly affect the result of this grand battle.
The Marines fire upon the Sister first right from the start (2/5/6 vs 1/2/2).
Meltagun hits and kills 1, but the Bolters only cause 9 hits (5 1s and 4 2s) in total!
7 wounds.
2 Sisters are killed.
In return Divine Guidance is cast, passed on a 6.
Merltagun hits and kills, Brazier hits 4 and cause 1 instant wound (ignored) and 2 more, Heavy Flamer hits 6, 4 wounds (no 6s). 11 Bolter shot hits (lots of 4s), 1 kill and 6 wounds.
5 failed.
The last 3 Marines take Fearlessness wound tests……
1 dies.
The last 2 Marines hold their position and continues firing (5/6/6 vs 1/2/3).
Meltagun missed.
2 Bolter hits, 1 wound. Easily saved by the Sisters.
In return Meltagun misses, Heavy Flamer cause 2 wounds, and 12 Bolter hits cause 7 wounds.
4 failed saves. (Snake Eyes and 2 2s)
The remaining 11 Sisters move on and are attacked by the Havocs.
Nurgle’s Rot causes 3 wounds. a Meltagun hits and kills, 2 Flamers cause 13 hits in total and lead to 7 wounds, and 6 Bolter hits cause 4 wounds.
How many saves they’ll fail this time?
4 failed. 6 more Sisters are left in the field.
Morale Check for the Sisters……
Failed on a 10.
The Chaos Havocs then march onwards, only the Devastators come up and opens fire.
Multi-Melta hits and kills, Plasma Cannon hits and cause 2 hits which kills 1. 4 Heavy Bolter hits cause no wounds! (Snake Eyes and 2 3s) 2 Bolter hits cause no wounds as well.
Fearlessness wound tests for the Plague Havocs……
All passed. Payback time!
Nurgle’s Rot cause no wounds, 2 Meltagun hits kills 2, 3 Flamers cause 12 hits in total and cause 6 wounds.
All saved.
Still they need to take a Morale Check……
Failed on a 9!
Lastly, the Grey Knights come up and face the Plague Havocs. For MAP, this is the last opponent before they face the Final Boss……
The Grey Knights wasted no time. A Storm Bolter hit fails to wound, as 4 Incinerators cause 19 hits in total, leading to 9 wounds.
4 are killed. Leaving the Meltagunner for the chance of victory.
Fearlessness wound test for the lone warrior……
Failed on a 2.
And here it is. The Final Battle.
The winner of this fight will be the winner of the Challenge and have the right to face the Final Boss.
The chance of glory or despair is here.
The Noise Havocs then open fire upon the Grey Knights. 2 Templates cause 10 hits in total but only 3 wounds! (Monoeye and 5 2s) 3 Blastmaster which maximizes their power all hits, causing 9 hits in total and 8 wounds, and a Sonic Blaster hit fails to wound.
Failing 5 saves will mean the Grey Knights will lose the round, the game, and the title……
2 failed.
The rest 3 take Fearlessness wounds test……
2 failed. (Snake Eyes)
The last one stand on his own but still fires his Incinerator.
6 hits. 4 wounds.
All saved.
The Noise Havocs attempts to fire their weapon at the lone trooper (1/3 vs 1/2/2).
They spot him.
2 Templates fail to wound, 4 Blastmaster shots hit and cause 2 wounds, and 2 hits from Sonic Blaster wounds.
There’s no way out if he fails any one of them……
But he does. And he fails 3.

BG's Comments
BG's Comments for the Championship
What I have to say is that the Dice God intervenes for lots of times. Some nuts results are being seen in these fights so probably the entries' performances are way below standard......Meh.
But even for the randomized nature of the entries for each team, these teams had really paid efforts to work on their teams so that they can reach the Finals. So while all teams have to be apperciated for their efforts, these 4 had paid extra efforts.
==============================================
The FINAL BATTLE will be posted ASAP, probably tomorrow.
And due to teh nature of this round, please use Spoiler Tag if you want to congratuate the winner.

GG to all! Some very close fights there. Duke's pile of healed loyalists did a great job of softening up people (like using up faith points) for the smaller populations of Chaos to finish off, and jackster's Noisy guys pulled off two clutch finishing blows.
Bring it on, Hunterseeker! Slaneesh will have his way with your Nurgle-infested corpse! And the loyalists will drag the Armored Company traitor off to the Inquisition or something :P Or we could all die to masses of AP2 fire... O_O

Final Round Comments
Gratz to Marines Against Plasma, although that last round was kind Marines Against Marines.Curse my LD roll against you Turbo! I had 6 more Sisters with which to unleash the Emporer's righteous fury on your heretic kind! I think you probably would've finished them off anyway with an initial round like that, but I at least might've killed a few to help out my buddies. All in all, it was a good match. Kept us wondering right up until the end. Can't wait to watch you get wtfpwned, er I mean to watch the final match.

The Dice God is intervening the Finals again......Meh.
OK, here it is. The FINAL BATTLE.
==============================================
With the other defeated teams got sucked into the ground, just a single team stands against the Commander.
Just when the 3 squads attempt to fire at the Commander, their firepower are all blocked by an Force Field, just like before.
"You all did well, far exceeds our expectations. Now I'll gve you an offer: Lower your weapons, and serve for the Greater Good."
"Cut it. The Emperor won't tolerate such trenchous act from you, alien." The Space Marine Sergeant answered.
"Tell us what's your purposes!" The Nurgle Champion asked.
"That's simple. After we had worked for so long, we'll be able to collect the combat data from all the races, from which we'll create super warriors of our kind."
"Then what?"The Slaanesh Champion demanded the answer.
"We'll retrive our past glory once they're finished. Since the Damocles Gulf Crusade, external threats from all kind had disrupted our prosperous empire, and which we must help the Empire to rebuild its strength for the Greater Good."
"The so-called Greater Good won't help your race to survive in the universe, alien." The Sergeant answered.
"You'll know that soon enough, Tau. Like the Dolumar Incident, your kind will perish."
"Cut this crap." The Commander said, "I'll show you what's the strength we consisted of!"
The 3 squads then reform their positions, ready to fight.
This is the last battle. Only one side will live.

FINAL BATTLE
Commander HunterSeeker’s Harbingers of Death (BrianGeneral) vs Marines Against Plasma (theshadowduke, Turbo164, jackster)
No Cover is provided in this match.
the fight
This is the Final Battle. If MAP wins, each of the members will have a single chance of hugging the glory alone. If they lose here they won’t get such chance.
The Demolisher is a rock hard vehicle that, in order to prevent the Meltaguns against Armour, had taken Ceremite Armour so all Melta weapons can only roll a single D6 for penetration. Which can be pretty hard.
But still, all 3 of the MAP are veterans now, so let’s see how they’re going to fare in this game. 40K FIGHT! READY……GO!!
The Demolisher wastes no time and open fires with its weapon first (3/3/5/6 vs 2/3/2).
But both shots from the Demolisher Cannon miss.
In return the single Meltagun hits but barely fail to penetrate on a 5.
Both sides then fire at the same time (1/1/2/4 vs 1/4/4).
The Meltagun misses.
Then the Demolisher round hits, but hits just 4 Marines.
1 killed. (TRIPLE 1s)
The Marines regrouped and fire again (1/2/3/5 vs 2/4/6).
Meltagun hits (on a 6). Penetrates.
Destroys the Demolisher Cannon and stuns it for the round.
Even without the main turret the Demolisher keeps on firing (1/2/2/6 vs 2/3/5).
Lascannon hits and kills, both Plasma Cannon hits and cause 8 hits in total.
7 wounds. (4 2s, 2 3s and a 4)
6 Marines are killed.
The last 2 takes their Fearlessness wound tests……
Both failed.
The damaged Demolisher rolls forward, facing the Plague Havocs.
Both Meltagun hits and penetrate once.
Target destroyed.
In return the Plague Marines advance, but the Obiliterators are prepared for the kill.
All 6 Plasma Gun shot hits (a 4 and 5 5s).
6 killed.
Just a Meltagunner stands alone.
Fearlessness tests for him……
Passed.
He then fires his weapon.
A hit.
A wound.
1 Obiliterator is killed.
Fearlessness wound tests for both of the Obbies……
Passed on 2 3s.
Then the twin fires their weapons at once (1/2/5/6 vs 1/2).
4 hits with Plasma Guns.
2 wounds.
The last Plague Havoc is killed.
Moving ponderously forward the Obiliterators face their last challenger: Noise Havocs.
4 Template hits cause 2 wounds (Snake Eyes and 2 5s), 3 direct shots from Blastmaster all hits, each hitting both Obliterators twice and all wounds, and 3 Sonic Blaster hits fail to wound (3 3s).
If the Obbies fail 2 saves from Blastmaster they’ll die instantly……
A single 1.
1 Obiliterator is killed.
Another 2 wounds……
1 failed.
Fearlessness wound test for the lone, wounded Obliterator……
FAILED!
At last the Final Boss rises to the challenge. Behold! The Commander is here. If the Noise Havocs fail here, all is lost.
Fusion Blaster hits and kills, 1 hit from Plasma Rifle kills.
Fearlessness tests for the last 4……
All passed.
3 Blastmaster direct shots cause 2 hits, each scoring 2 hits and become 4 wounds, as 3 Sonic Blaster hits lead to no wounds.
Again if the Commander fails 2 saves they’ll be killed as well……
……
……
……
2 FAILED!
Commander HunterSeeker falls down.
But the fight isn’t over yet……
Marines Against Plasma wins
------------------------------------------------------------
the epliogue
The Epliogue
"I.......i can't believe that I failed......" The Commander murmurs as he's heavily injured by repeated Sonic Blasts, as teh burning hulks of the Demolisher and dead, twisted form of Obiliterators are lying around.
"We've told you that you can't live, Tau." The Slannesh Champion repeated.
But suddenly the ground starts to shak, forcing the squads to lie on something in order to prevent falling down.
"What is this?" The Sergeant asked.
"This is the protection mechanism. If I dies, this place will be gone as well. I'd transferred the rest of the data back to the Empire beforehand, so this place doesn't mean much to us anymore......Now it's the time to die with me together! THIS WILL BE THE START OF YET ANOTHER WAR! HA HA HA HA......"
Then the Commander falls slient.
The 3 squads then ruch back by the way they went there, until they find that the gateway only allows a single squad to go through.
The Slannesh Champion is the first to raise his weapons with his squadmates,"Sorry, you two. It had been a great fun to fight with all of you, but now we'll be the only one that lives."
"No way. We'll be the one who survives. Grandfather will look over us all." The Nurgle Champion replied.
"We'll defeat you two for the glory of the Emperor!" The Sergeant added.
And thus the last firefight is initiated. For their own lives.
the Real Final Battle
The REAL FINAL BATTLE: Space Marine Tactical Squad (theshadowduke) vs Chaos Plague Havocs (Turbo164) vs Chaos Noise Havocs (jackster)
Still no cover for this fight.
Target indication:
For Tactical Squad, 1-3 as Noise Havocs, 4-6 as Plague Havocs.
For Plague Havocs, 1-3 as Tactical Squad, 4-6 as Noise Havocs.
For Noise Havocs, 1-3 as Plague Havocs, 4-6 as Tactical Squad.
Finally, the 3 players that strike down all the foes before them had to break up their temporary bond, and raise their arms against each other.
theshadowduke’s strength is the survivability under all but heaviest firepower.
Turbo164 is a powerhouse and has a wide range of weapons.
jackster had earned reputation and skills for his performances in the latest rounds.
But now, only 1 will live.
All 3 squads open fire at the same time without hesitation (4/4/6 vs 2/6 vs 5/6).
Tactical Squad aims at the Plague Havocs, who also turns against the Tactical squad, and the Noise Havocs fire at the Tactical Squad as well. Hmmm……Kill off the loyalists first anyone?
Tactical Squad:
Meltagun from them misses, and 13 Bolter hits cause 3 wounds.
Plague Havocs:
Nurgle’s Rot cause 4 wounds! 2 Meltagun hits and kills (2 3s->2 2s), 2 Flamer cause 16 hits in total and lead to 9 wounds, and 3 Bolter hits cause 1 wound.
Noise Havocs:
2 Templates cause 11 hits in total and 4 wounds, 3 Blastmaster hits and cause 9 hits in total, causing 6 wounds. 3 Sonic Blaster hits lead to 1 wound.
THAT’S A LOT OF SAVES!
Saving time……
Tactical Squad: Blastmaster kills 2, and for the rest……
7 failed saves. (5 1s and 2 2s)
theshadowduke is OUT!
Plague Havocs: 1 Plague Marine dies from Bolter.
With the loyalists dead, this fight will become a Chaos vs Chaos game. Only 1 God will shine in this place, as only one side can live……Or not?
Without giving even a chance to speak the Noise Havocs opens fire first (3/4 vs 1/5).
2 Templates cause 11 hits in total and lead to 4 wounds. 1 Blastmaster hits only, causing 3 hits, all wounds. 3 Sonic Blaster hits, 1 wound.
It’s possible that the Plague Havocs fail all saves (or at least 6) as they’re now having the same number of Marines with the Noise Havocs……
1 dies.
It’s payback time. Nurgle’s Rot cause 1 wound, 2 Meltagun hits kill 2, 3 Flamers causes 12 hits in total and 5 of them wounds.
Failing 4 will expel the Noise Havocs……
1 dies.
Fearlessness wound test for the Noise Havocs……
2 die! (Snake Eyes)
Leaving just one with Blastmaster standing.
Still the lone trooper fears nothing and fire first (1/3 vs 1/4).
But his weapon misses.
In return a single Meltagun hits.
Wounds.
The lone trooper is killed.
And that’s the end.
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE REAL FINALS' WINNER: TURBO164!
the Epliogue, continued
With the Noise Marines and loyalists' bodies are lying all around, the remaining Plague Marines move out from the complex, which collapsed behind them.
"It's over."The Champion commented, and they moved out for any signs of Chaos forces to pick them up.
The words of such "torments" must be spread among their kind.
What will lie ahead?
Who knows, it's a new day for them.
Elsewhere......
"The Commander had failed."
"That's bad news. But we must go on with the plan."
"When will it be initiated?"
"Dunno, maybe months, maybe for years. But surely the day will come. Until then, we'll keep on tracking how the universe goes."
"Understand. The Tau had good samples for tranining and research already. So the whole group can take some rest right now."
"Achknowledged."
The transmission is ended.
The figure in the room said, "One failure doesn't mean failure for all time. For the time is on our side."
TO BE CONTINUED

Last words:
This is the end of this Third Shooting Challenge. This arc is settled for now, but by the words in the Epliogue, it's still possible for any further Shooting Challenges linking up with this arc. (I just can't think of any right now, and there're already some Challenges here to boot)
The only thing I had to say is that the discussion atmosphere seems to be worse than the 2ndSC, and I don't understand why. Meh, actual life>virtual life, afterall.
Still, there're some flaws for working out the rules and I apologize for that. But generally speaking the whole thing goes smoothly and I appreciate that.
Again thanks all of you for your participation in this game, and I'm looking forward to see you in my games in the future. None will know when, but surely it'll eventually come. (Those who're in Moo's Challenge will see me soon enough)
Yours,
B.G.
Yea!!!! I've told you my boys will carry the day!! (Well, they didnt win the in-team fight, but still...)
Congrats to Turbo!

Thanks jackster! But your havocs took out 5/3's of an entry by themselves, otherwise we wouldn't have survived to fight each otherAnd duke helped us reach the final round, too.
Thanks BrianGeneral for all the blood sweat tears and carpaltunnel you sacrificed for this great challenge!
my guys absorbed alot of punishment, but that was the point of sticking them in front.
Yep; and when they killed a foe and advanced, you had the best chance of living through the free shots, whereas sticking Jackster last meant he dealt the free shots a lot more than he took em![]()
