Will the installer work if i dont have the minimum requirements ? I have a slightly slower setup and im thinking it will be decent on low once i install the beta.

A few questions since I'll be downloading the Open Beta in 12-16 hours time.
1.) Once I've downloaded it, will it come with the CD key or serial?
2.) If not (in relation to no 1), how do I attain the key?
3.) Will it require Vanilla or will it be a standalone with all 4 armies?
4.) Since its been said that there won't be any skirmish, will there be a LAN game option or is it online only?

You will need to uninstall that download manager too

I feel like this is too good to be true.... which probably means there is some catch to it. I really hope not.
Wasn't there something about only a limited number of people can get into the open beta as well? I coulda sworn I read that somewhere...

Is this the Open Beta? Or is it the closed beta? Just wanna make sure before I commit to hours of download time to it.

I'm trying to install and i keep getting an access is denied error! What does that mean?
Fileplanet is probably going to update their site with a beta signup page. On east coast USA it is only 2:20am, I'm not sure what timezone they are working under, but I know they are in north america so its probably just to early for them to update yet.
I doubt that they are going to email anyone the keys for the open beta, seeing as it didn't ask anywhere for your email.

As stated above, keys will be released 2 times a week until the beta is over. How this will work is beyond me, but i suspect that members that download the beta will have a more likely chance of obtaining a key rather then those randomly receiving one.

Its 00:22 AM at Vancouver so you gotta wait like 8-9 hours for open beta to start if they contact fp at the morning or etc...
still downloading it going at an amazing 80kb/s....

Yup, you need all the updates too. That is another 1gb+ of downloading patches.

Fileplanet doesn`t E-Mail you a key, they never did it, so I gues they won`t start so now!
k well its nearlly the end of the month so i better start downloading it. just wondering whats gonna happen about the keys.
k this is what i recon gonna happen on fileplanet there will be like a sigh up. put ur name and email and they shall send u it but its limit per a week
downloading coh of through IGN alot faster download you dont need to wait

This is just a speculation based on what I've seen and heard so don't take it as factual truth. Since no one seems to have anything concrete regarding CD keys yet, I went ahead gave it my best guess.
There's a section in your fileplanet account that's about a game you downloaded and the CD keys issued. This for free accounts as well. So I'm guessing that as soon as you start downloading then you automatically qualify for the CD key. But that doesn't mean you get it instantly. You'll probably be in-line for it though, so it all depends on when you downloaded and how many people are ahead of you.
It's been mentioned in Buggo's blog that the CD keys will be sent to us twice a week until the Beta ends. How many keys per sending is not mentioned. And how it will be sent is not mentioned either. It could be E-mail, regular mail or attached to Pigeon's leg.LOL!
One question though, (for those who played with the closed beta)... Can the beta be played through LAN? Or is it just online?
Its been said that there is no skirmish option for it because skirmish will only be released in the demo version.
How big does the DL end up being with all the patches too ?
Might start DLing it in case it is based on a first come first served basis ! Probably won't have any usage left to actually play it though

Its relic online multiplayer only, you cant play skirmish or lan. Also at online you cant play alone vs cpu but need at least one human player.
