Yea but its 01.45 AM at the place where Relic work (Vancouver) and if they want to be at office when the open beta starts you gotta wait another 6-7 hours

Once the open beta starts there should be a join the OF beta page somewhere, just follow the instructions on it until it generates you a RO OF beta key. The page should be the same as the one for subscribers with the difference that it will allow regular fileplanet account owners to get a key.
I also wouldn't expect the open beta to start before 18 GMT since that is about 10 am in Vancouver. Also knowing fileplanet the beta may get delayed by an hour or 2. Just be patient

and its mid day nearly and fileplanet have said nothing about the open beta at all
After i choose where to install it to, then click in "install" it sits o 0% for a few seconds then I get "access denied"

yea im downloading the beta itself now, but i dont think they keys will be out till later today, or early morning whereever you are....but once they are released how do you think we get them?

Dunno if this opening the beta is a good move by relic. I've been playing the beta for two weeks now and it's still plagued with connectivity issues, so do arm yourselves with patience and a lot of it when you start playing it and refrain from hate mails and rants since those help noone.
Otherwise new fractions are quite fun, give panzer elite some time to adjust to since most people will be innitialy dissapointed to find that PE fraction is somewhat lacking in... well... tanks

I have installed the Op Beta and when I klick MP
It wont let me create a account....
I was getting the "access denied" error as well.
To fix the problem I did the following
1. reboot computer
2. right click on the CoH-beta install file
3. select "run as administrator"
4. should now install fine
Be warned though, it still took ages for the install screen to appear.
Ya same here, pretty much guess we have a varied version, that has to be unlocked by the server!

If your getting an access denied error, make sure you have administrative privileges on your computer.

The "System Spec" page is kind'a flawed.
My Core2Duo 6420 has a real clock of 2,1 Ghz, yet it is able to outperform a "Real" 2,2 Ghz Clocked CPU. Just wanted to say it here, in case noone else had the problem.
As for the key, I guess there will be a "Beta Signup" page on Fileplanet in time... At least I hope so!

I guess they don't want to release the specific time, because they are afraid they'll web servers will get hammered if they do. But still, a ball park would be nice!

Go to fileplanet.com, then click on my account on the upper left hand side. Go to beta keys archive. You'll probably see there if you've already received the beta key....probably. Unless of course you still need to do something to get it. Also, keep checking your e-mail. Its most likely that if they just send the beta keys to those who downloaded the Beta installer that they'll e-mail us the key...again probably. Damn I hate waiting!
Downloading client doesn't give you any privileges to open beta. Later today (hopefully) they will probably upload page like this http://www.fileplanet.com/promotions/coh_of/, where you have to sign in and they give you a key and downloadlink.

It would be nice to have some sort of time frame during the day. So, people wouldn't have to run around hitting F5 on every site they think may lead them to a key.
Ah... it's only 8:30am in Vancouver now. That makes more sense. I'd guess maybe before lunch there time (4pm or so eastern standard), we may see some news. Just in time for me to get home from work.. wohoo

How many patches are there? Im at 4 or 5 allready...
5 patches, including two big ones.
I've had trouble installing the second patch (the first big one, ~360MB); it keeps stalling on trying to update some graphics file. I'm hoping re-downloading the patch manually will solve the problem.
