    [Help/Strategy]Brits Vs PE

I need some help as Brits against PE on 1 vs 1. I've been playing automatches and have won some but now people are learning the power of massed groups I'm getting my butt kicked.

I've been playing Angoville so normally I start by making a second Tommy squad followed by a Lt. One group goes to the field the other towards the houses. The problem is that normally what happens is one squad gets attacked by 2/3 squads of Panzer Grenadiers who run into a house and are impossible to move. If the Tommys get into a house they get killed. I also tried leaving the field and keeping the Tommys together but that means giving up half the resources so that didn't work either. They also send out the small wagons (I forget the proper name) to cut off supply points so I constantly gotta send a squad to make there way to re-capture so I don't even have a Bren gun to stop vehicles never mind Sappers with a PIAT as I don't have enough munitions. As soon as they have an armored car its game over and they are in at my base.

    Anyone able to help.

I'm not that great of a player but it seems to me that if you keep your squads together, pushing up on the right side, keeping both squads in range of the lieutenant so that they get the offensive bonus when fighting the first battle. If you win the first battle and force him to retreat put up a forward trench in between the bottom right VP and the strat point. I usually don't bother with a bren carrier because they get owned by scout cars(which are supposed to be good at killing snipers not bren carriers). After you get your third tommy squad out, move your hq to the high munitions to the north of the hedges so you get extra munitions. Tech up to tier 2 and get at least one squad of sappers with PIAT's. With your Tommy's you could probably build an MG emplacement to cover the rear strat point and one to cover the gap in the hedges on the main road. With your sappers, place maybe 1 or 2 mines on the middle road in case he tries to rush in with some vehicles. That should be good enough of a start to secure the right side of Angoville. Remember, the British Commonwealth are a primarily DEFENSIVE faction, which is why their emplacements friggen rock(17 pounder AT gun anyone?). Keep in mind I'm not a pro player but this seems like a fairly good start on Angoville.

When I'm Brits I spam trenches, take a point put a trench, take a point put a trench. Then once I have a front line established I get rid of unnecessary trenches.
    The point?
    Use trenches!!
They soak up a lot of fire, and I've yet to lose a squad of tommies with or with out a LT in a trench (as long as no firebombgrenadeythingys are thrown)

You can make a quick set up on the left, put your HQ on that first high munitions right below you then when you have two or three squads with an Lt, make a push for the lower strategic point that can cut off the right side of the map(the one with the house right by it above the lower base.

Thanks guys. I've stupidly not been using trenches much because I'm always scared I'll lose them. Never realised they could be scuttled afterwards.

Think your are right about going for the right hand side in a mass group instead of trying to send a squad each way.

Edit: Yay think it works. You can't scuttle trenches though so how do you get rid of them Bodybag? I don't think I can spare units to attack them till they fall apart.

Do not spam trenches. This is a bad idea.
First, they take a while to build, which takes time away from capping points.
Second, and more important, if you spam trenches in lots of places it becomes easy for the enemy to take them. And once the enemy has taken your trench, you will have a hard time taking them back. Particularly if you put a trench near your cutoff point; what happens if they take that and then get in the trench?

If they don't attack where your trench is, then your trench is a total waste of time.

Keeping your squads together is key, to increase the power of the LT bonus. Do not do NOT try and take both sides of Ango to start with, or as you say 3 PG squads will eat one of your tommy squads and you will lose the game.

I believe trenches can be deleted if they are occupied.

Thanks Scooter will try having a squad in and deleting when the server is back up. I've not gone crazy with the trenches normally I build one at the far VP to kill the inital PGs and then I push up and build a second just outside his base and then start setting up the defences. Been working pretty well so far.

I now normally relocate my base to the right hand side corner and put a truck into each high munition and one on the fuel. Doesn't matter if he has nearly every other point since those are the high ones and get boosted so much and its impossible for him to cut off supplies.

I also have a new appreciation of rifle grenades. Against a few PG squads grouped together they are deadly.
