But why? It's Relic's game?
Simply put, Relic's and THQ's game is the DVD/CD version, the other companies change files, installers and even methods of patching the game. Such tweaks and edits of the game can and has caused many issues for users.
In order to resolve these issues the volunteers here at RelicNews would need to have some idea of the software and the adjustments the other companies have made to the software - and to be blunt, they keep them their trade secrets.
So where does this leave me?
On their website - check their forums, their FAQs and their Webnote/email system for quicker responses. They usually have a paid team of dedicated troubleshooters who will be on hand (usually weekdays) to assist you.
Any threads pertaining to Steam, Direct2Drive (and other companies offering a similar service) will be advised that we cannot help them, and that is generally the extent of our assistance.
