    Best Brit Doctrine

I personally like the Royal Arty though I still don't think I use it properly. I have heard good things about the commandos though I am unsure of the effective of the tectrach tank. Finally the armour doctrine looks interesting though I am not sure it's effective against the axis unlike you really know what you are doing. Thoughts please.
    Cheers

I really like engineers. It lets you upgrade strength of emplacements which i think is VERY helpful. Also i can get a very strong tank, that albeit not very good against other tanks, can take quite a few shrek shots and still go on ticking. Not to mention the AVRE is an absolute blob killer. Hull down also rocks as a quick emplacement if needed somewhere.

By the way OP, its Royal Engineers, not armor. This isnt the americans.

Think you'll find the Engineers are popular because you get tanks as an ability and can still concentrate on infantry on field.

Also the commando option is really only for the commado glider, most of the rest of the options are peripheral add ons.

..and the tetrarch tank is pants. (though considerably better than iin real life!)

(the really odd feature is that you can recruit new commandoes/tetrarchs at the landed gliders.... must be a teleporter/stargate in the back...)

i personally like the commando doctrine because you can get them in anywhere anytime. in addition, their "detection" tools on the right hand side of the tree come in handy to help plan offensive and defensive strategies since you know what has been built by the enemy and potentially comin your way.

If playing solo, then Commandos. When playing co-op with my usual brother of war, then I play the Royal Engineers.

Royal Canadian is my personal favorite .

But i think armor and commando's are fare more versatile .
The RCA only effects your artillery units .... DUH !

but i like the battle chatter of the arty units .

Super charge , super charge all , all callsigns fire .

I always go arty if I'm going to dig in and play defensive. The supercharged range on a mortar emplacement is awesome. you can build 4 of them very widely spaced, and they will poop on any infantry in a wide area. And don't even get me started on how effective the 25lber is then.

If I'm going to be aggressive, I NEED commandos and cupcake tanks.

Arty is lame. Most of the time I go Royal Engineers because the Churchill is what you need in the early game against the PE. If my enemy is Wehr I take commandos. Cupcakes > Panther =O

    Shame on you, arty users!!
    Bla bla bla?

Commandos, demo on important points. Like scorched earth but more deadly

    Moving to strategy.

I don't choose right away, I wait what the situation calls for. I'm hammer by an early panzer IV? Talk to my churchill. Fallshirmjäger galore? Say hi to my commandos. Spam me with the blob? Say your prayers to my priest. Imho they're equally effective.

I love armor. It allows me to concentrate on defenses because by the time I get a bofors or 2 up,I can call in churchills to help me gain ground. Then I go for the armor.

    Voted commandos.

I love the engineers, and would play them more often, but they just don't seem to have the same effect as commandos. I can win games with commandos, I never seem to win with engineers. And I wouldn't touch royal artillery with someone else's 10 foot clown pole. It's great for turtling, but turtling is suicide in competitive play.

mmm i allways pick engie (churchill comes pretty early and can save the day, hull down and the commando HQ truck thingy ) or arty (i just love to pound those PE bastards to hell from a distance )

The only way to make arty better (and my favorite again) would be to buff supercharge. Fix 25lbrs and the overwatch. Sorry the Royal scotts dont have that much going for them. the quick "anti infantry" tank is too easy to counter. So yah i go commandos and cupcake!

Most of the time for engineers and Royal artillery the counter to those doctrine's abilities/units are already fielded. Advanced emplacements doesn't really do much to the PE zerg. I think all the british doctrines are really subject to doctrine warfare though
