Homeworld 2 Mouse Controls not working

I just bought Homeworld 2 and was trying the tutorial. And already 4 minutes in, I notice that I can't use the mouse controls for panning around or zooming. According to the tutorial, you should be able to pan the camera when holding right mouse button and moving the mouse. And zoom with the mouse wheel.

But nothing happens when I try. It may move two inches after 5 minutes if I try panning. But that's about it.

I did install the patch to see if that helped, but it didn't.

    My system specs:

    Dimension XPS 710 Core 2 Duo Processor E6700 (2.66GHz, 1066FSB, 4MB cache),
    Windows XP sp2,
    Memory Dual Channel 2048MB 667MHz DDR2,
    256MB NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GTS

My computer runs bigger, faster and heavier games than Homeworld 2, so I am wondering why on earth the mouse controls doesn't work.

    Can anyone help?

    OK, try this:

Go to the options and check "enable VSync". For some reason, HW2 has a problem with Intel dual core processors and nVidia graphics cards, and this fixes that problem.

I'm 90% certain that this will fix it. Try it.

I've got the exact same problem. And Vsync doesnt help. Any other ideas?

Operating System: Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 2
    Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E6750 @ 2.66GHz (2 CPUs)
Video Card name: NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS
And using a normal Logitech mouse that came with the pc... nothing fancy

I'd try uninstalling the logitech software that was installed on your pc and see if that helps.
