Is there any reasonable explanation as to why online play is so broken? Seriously, Buggo, can you give us a clear answer on this, and not just say its being looked at? I know you guys are trying to make it stable, but nothing about my experiences over the past year points to CoH ever being even remotely stable.
Is it:
1) Underpowered servers?
2) bad code?
3) too many people online at once?
It is beyond frustrating to spend literally an hour trying to join a game (I've lost track of what my personal record for consecutive "cannot connect to players" is), only to crash out over and over again or for the game to lag nonstop. I have tried 2 different locations (NYC and Kansas City) with cable modems and proper firewall config, and its the same at both places.
Sometimes it will work great for a week at a time, but those weeks are rare.
I bought the game for online play only, it is not fair to take my money and give me such a buggy game. There are only a few thousand people online, I can't believe it is simply underpowered servers causing this.
Seriously, who wrote the networking code, and it is being investigated at all how they produced such terrible and frustrating code?
I really like this game, but I will be very leery about buying anything else from Relic in the future.
