You know...it amazes me how this stuff makes it past beta testing. Has this been seen before by someone else and, if not, why the hell am I never a beta tester? I always find weird quirky things like this.

Quite strange - are those honour guard the same numbers on every map for you?
I noticed this, was not surprised. You can pretty much have a horde of Honor Guard with the Necrons, however, that means your honor guard (at least some of it) must die first. If your honor guard dies, no matter how many times you bring it back, you must retrain it next round.
In this way the Necrons are like a plague. It is so cool.
