Is there a way to add more units to Homeworld without replacing the ones already there? I would like to add the light defender back in but I don't want to replace a unit, just add it in.

Not without altering the source code and recompiling it. Hasn't been done yet successfully as far as I know.

I believe the homesource people have recompiled it successfully not sure though
Oh, guess more research is required on my part then. Thanks.
The reason I ask is because on a multiplayer map (forgot the name) I started out with 15 of them (took me 10 minutes to understand what they were).

That's because, on a multiplayer map, you can add in ships that aren't part of the R1/R2 build list.
