Don't worry, you don't have to explain it to me; I thought you were making the edges blurred because you couldn't make them sharp, but if you're doing it as a concious choice then I won't question it.![]()

But that's just my personal view. I'm not lecturing you.
Ok, I read different.. anyway... interpretations can be various...
What about paints applyed in factories, they used spray.
When I look historical photos I find at least as much spray painted as paintbrushpainted... so it's fine to me...
I also used to build model kits and if you look on best art pieces, most have been made with spray paints not only for artistical render but also to represent a reality.
hello ,the link is dead cant download any other link?
A good general does not lead an army to destruction just because he knows it will follow
The HSM Page is still online for me. Download works aswell.
@luciferum: Did you get it to work?
hi, ive had the HSM for a while now and I love it, however I've never been able to get the skin for the mg, mortar and pak crews working, they're just the vanilla CoH grey wermacht uniforms. I downloaded version .74 of HSM a few days ago and I'm not sure as to choose different skins for the half tracks and things (there are a few options I can choose from aren't there? if not thats fine) I would just really like to know how to make my mg, mortar and pak gun teams not have the standard grey uniforms. P.S. I made a forum account just to ask this questionbtw i used corsix to install the mod both times
On a different note, I love the mod but it has enough axis stuff already, I'd like to see the US airborne skinned because they desperatley need it, they look nothing like the real airborne did. The rangers seem ok but I'd like to see them done too. The US anti tank gun needs to be done also. What I would REALLY like to see is the british commandos redone, if you play just the first mission in opposing fronts as panzer elite, the british commandos they send at you are wearing badass uniforms and helmets with scrim on them, I'd much prefer to have them rather than the red beret wearing commandos.

@Southpath:
You're right, there's something to be done with rangers and US paratroopers and AT gun.
Actually my work isn't over yet
For the MG mortar and pak, I don't understand why you can't get them. Are you making mix of different mods?
@Slayerknecht:
I didn't manage to make variation appear in multiplyer games did I missed something in your procedure ?
[attrib:common] folder = archive.01 = WW2\Archives\Skins_attrib -> contains the modified stuff archive.02 = WW2\Archives\AttribArchive -> the genuine Relic one So the game chooses to use the files from the skins_attrib.sga instead off thsoe from the original archive.
Hm. Did you choose the dataattrib folder when packing in Corsix Mod Studio? Did you create new ebps files or did you use the ones from the HSM download package?
I'll send you a PM with files I got to work when I'm at home.
@Slayerknecht
I've extracted AttribArchive.sga, unpacked attrib files from HSM (the few modifications I made) and repacked a new attrib file.
Did you choose the dataattrib folder when packing in Corsix Mod Studio?
May I a mistake on this point.
yes if you could mail me an attribArchive that works for you, it could be great.
@ luciferm.
No I'm not trying to mix any mods at all, just using your whole skin pack, I installed it as instructed on your website, do I have to use the other files in the in the mod's zip? the installation guide just says to use the ww2/data/art part of the mod. All of the skins seem to work except the mortar, mg and pak... also the new things from your latest update haven't worked either for some reason, the british flag on the british hq truck and the new mesh on the bunker and medic station aren't there either, do I need to uninstall coh before updating hsm mod? I had an older version of hsm before this. .6 something I think.
@Southpath:Ok... I've got to go back home tonight to check some stuffs.
Anyone else has got Southpath problems ?
Nevermind! I just had to use skin installer to get the new HSM update working, works fine with the new OF balance update. Love the weapons crew skins for wermacht. I don't think corsix installation was working because I already had a previous version of HSM installed, I tried putting in the original files and art.sga but I still couldn't install the new update.

Does anyone know if i have to do anything special to get this to work with the new patch?
Nah. Same MO as before, assuming you're using the skin installer.
Potential bug: When the commonwealth MG nest gets to the 'half dead' stage, the netting goes back to the original covering (the tarpaulin and white markings). Or is this just me? (I pick 'n mix heavily so it's possible I just borked it inadvertantly)
Hi all,
There's no problem with new patch (2.4) and HSM releases. I tryed it yesterday and everything goes fine.
Yes road-kill, I havn't made yet the half destroyed MG nest... next update will fix it.
Hey Guys,
Been trying for about the last day to enable the HSM mod which looks great and i'm having trouble getting it to work. Now, i primarily play offline so thats the type of install i went for. I downloaded corsix and followed the instructions to the letter and no dice. Is there any way that patch 2.4 screwed this up by changing the attributes to the .sga files? Thats the only thing i can think of since i tried installing it after the patch was applyed, not before.
Also, just for sh*ts and giggles i tried the online, and the quick install methods and didnt get any joy with those either. If any of you have any little things i might have missed, or ideas i can try, any help at all would be awesome.
Thanks!![]()
Righto!Yes road-kill, I havn't made yet the half destroyed MG nest... next update will fix it.
Hammy-311: you considered using the skininstaller instead? It's a bit trickier (imo) to use but once you get the hang of it it's a very good piece of kit. Plus you can use the skins online!
Guys i was using the previous version of this mod and well since the latest patch has comeout i can no longer go online i was wondering if we had a public acess original Art SGA file ??
@ Road-Kill
Anyway you could send me a walk through of the particulars? or is one posted somewhere? I know my way around comps pretty good, but this whole modding thing is pretty much all new to me. PM me if you can help at all.
btw, i tried using the skininstaller based on the HSM homepage installation instructions and that didnt work.
Thanks!
@IronMan II:
I lost also the genuine ww2Art.sga and my install was so modified I had to reinstall the all game... but only 45min to go and the work was done.
The applyed the mod with skinInstaller and works fine, online too.
@Road-Kill
Got it working!! I re-installed the game and then followed the directions again and voila'! there it was! What a fantastic mod!! Its like playing a whole new game! Cant wait for the next update! Great work!!
This mod canot be played on the new 2.400 patch. Can somebody tell me when will it be compatiable with the new patch ?
It is compatible. Just reinstall it.
I reinstall the mod, but it is same. Maybe i must reinstall the game ?
What exactly doens't work?
@Destroyer221
I had the same problem and then i re-installed the game, then re-installed the mod and it worked great. Just for an FYI, i didnt use the skininstaller program, i just used corsix to unpack, modify and then repack the .sga files, so i cant speak on whether or not the skininstaller method works. Good luck!
I fixed it. Now it works great.I even can play it online..thats cool,on the previous patch i was not able to do that..strange..but good after all![]()
i just installed the mod and the greanadiers are pink and some of the weapon crews plaese helpAlso I have rienstalled it 2 times
Linux For The Win !
Is this mod compatible with 'tales of valor' ?
Skinpacks usually don't make problems with new patches. It works.
Actually, I haven't tested it yet. I think there will be no problem.
Slayerknecht, you tested it already ?
My problem is patch download time... so slow !!! If someone has a link for the 2.4-2.5 patch, French version one...

A Knight cross holder model is about to be finish and the Ostwind also...
Next models will probably be Schwimmwagens even if Relic paintings seem to be not bad at all...
I always think that Relic skinners are good but in order to make the game more playable, their skins are 'washed' to become grey for german units.
Skins work, I installed them with Corsix and it's fine.
if you look at the very first screenshots of CoH they even have correct colours, but with the pogress of programming they became more and more blue.I always think that Relic skinners are good but in order to make the game more playable, their skins are 'washed' to become grey for german units.

luciferum, try to download the patch via a torrent.
Here I got a link, it downloads way faster.
http://files.filefront.com/coh+fr+24.../fileinfo.html
tov and all the rest are here too
http://dlh.net/cgi-bin/dp.cgi?lang=e...&ref=ps&sys=pc
Thanks DMz... Downloading right now... Hope to test it tonight...
So i downloaded and applied 2.501 no problem. re-installed the mod using corsix and it works up until a skirmish or online game is loading. Then when you 'press any key' it dumps me back to the desktop and that Relic help window is there saying the game crashed, please tell us the reasons, blah blah blah. Kinda frustrating. So i put back the original .sga files and it runs fine, but whenever i try to use the mod, it crashes at the same spot.
Anyone else having this problem?
Anyone have any suggestions?
EDIT: Ok i got the skins to work, but for some reason when i add veterency as the wehrmacht the unit icons above each squad/weapon/vehicle are bright pink.....![]()
EDIT: Also, its any unit that gains veterency. (shows up pink.) Also, the commanders tree wont let you select anything, and when selecting units or structures to build theres no information window stating MP price, etc. Just a small window that says 'engineers' or 'nebelwerfer'.
Hope we can get this fixed soon! Damn Relic screwing with our skins! lol.
Any ideas?

as always , yes i have some clues about the veterancy , they had change the files and add a small dot above the ui icon.Hope we can get this fixed soon! Damn Relic screwing with our skins!
@luciferum when you find a way to make the skins working plaese infor us
I justpatched the game to 2.501 and installed HSM v0.74. No other skin mod or individual skins.
I confirm it works fine !
I don't get any trouble FallschirmJaege has.
@FallschirmJaege : did you mix HSM with another mod ?
@ luciferum
No its just HSM. Question for you though, which installation method did you use? Because i tried the 'offline' where you modify both WW2art.sga and the attrib.sga and that wouldnt even let me load a game. it just crashed. Then i tried just the WW2art.sga via the 'online' method and the skins work, but i have the aforementioned problems. Then i said why not and tried using skin installer and the game wouldnt even load! LOL.
So yeah, if you could tell me what method you used, that'd be a great help. Thanks!
EDIT: I got it working! Don't know why it decided to like me, i just used corsix and the online installation directions like i had before and Voila'! Works great!

Im looking forward to see them. Im sure it will be great.
I've got a problem now.... worldbuilder doesn't work anymore... Will be hard to see the results of my skinning work.
@luciferum The solution is to take the rgb ,abp,ebps ..etc of the desired unit from TOV and put these in a previous mod in version 2.301 when you can use the worldbuilder. I have two dir one with 2.301 and one for 2.501 ,I'm working on the old version and place the new graphics in the new. Also with some instruction I can manage to have a working mod module and the result is that I can play skirmish with my old mix and vehicles also with the new ones, but I did not alter any of the gameplay atribs etc, only skins.
@Georider: My problem is not to be unable to use previous mods... I didn't ever tryed, the pb is World Builder doesn't work at all :
Actually, WB starts and when I press 'new' it opens a dialog window looking for a 'NewScenario.sgb' file.
WHen I pressed new, it used to create a new mod from... normandy campaign I guess...
I just aim to display one caracter on WB to check if my skin is ok... I don't care about editing previous mods... do you see what I mean ?
yes thats exactly what I 'm saying. Take the new files from 2.501 extract with the mod studio ,put these in a previous install ( you should have another folder for COH in ver 2.301 )and load the 2.301 WB , then the ebps will shown correctly. I did it to saw the changes that had made in DLC1,2,3 . TOV changes the hat of voss with a field cap to look like tanker but the did not update the standard OF abp the had made a new in DLC1 , they had made the same with the airborne when they use a green skin for the 82nd airborne troops.
Currently I 'm looking for a way to change the skins of the Campain and the skirmish and I'm in a good way ,first I made a module that is working and I'm able to run a mod , Now I change everything ebps,sbps from the start in order no to mesh with the new version atribs etc and I 'm choosing the desired graphics.
So to have a WB working you had to have a installed COH 2.301 for moding/skinning and a COH 2.501 for gaming/ testing. I think that this is the most proper way until relic fix this WB issue.
Oh.. ok I see... Thanks a lot for the solution of my problem. I will do that right now.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
well, of course it's detecting another version of the game already installed... so I wonder how to install 2 games on the same computer or do I have a virtual box with another windows and install the game on it ?
Last edited by luciferum; 12th Apr 09 at 5:05 AM.
Install the game into ver 2.301 after copy/paste into adifferent directory COH 2301 and after patch the original to 2.501. Use the game dir 2.301 for every mod /use the WB etc . If you start the game on 2.301 start it off line .

The answer to wb is here #10 also i give a like to maps section that explain everything.

Here is a preview for the PE SChwimwagen.
The roof camo will be remade and the pennant as well, but you can have an idea of the model that will replace a grey schwim...
![]()
Excellent , use splitter WH pattern for the roof camo It will be awesom. Keep on mate! Raze the challenge.
Well.. honnestly I can't find any evidence of camo roof on Schwimwagen... I guess roofs could be sand yellow or dark grey or drak green. But I didn't see any WWII pic of schwimwagen with camo roof.... so I guess I will remove the camo.
