My One Request to Relic

Since it's pretty much a foregone conclusion that the next expansion, if there's to be one will be an Eastern Front based one, I have but one request to make to Relic, just one.

Please, for the love of God and all that is 1337, do not make the Soviet faction based on stupid Hollywood movies like Enemy at the Gates.

Russian soldiers were not used like cannon fodder, they were not deprived or rifles and they were definitely not short on artillery or tanks.

I have this ominous feeling that I'm going to see a Soviet faction ripped straight from the biased stereotype made up in the West (mostly as a way to raise the morale of NATO troops).

The Cold War is over, there is no more need to insult the Russians.

The Red Army, especially after 1942 was a competent, well organized, very well equipped fighting force capable of taking on German forces in 1 to 1 settings. Don't insult the memory of those 20 million Soviet citizens and soldiers who died to keep Europe free from Nazism by making a game that's based off some silly American propaganda film.

Enemy at the Gates was bankrolled by a group of European investors.

Well the russians didn't have any competent high officers at that time, so the tactics were what they were... And 1: I don't believe there'll be a future expansion, or if there's gonna be one, that is not going to be a russian faction.
2: the people working on CoH really seem to do something else when thinking about a faction than just watch some movies...

But really... the russians were pretty much cannon fodder in world war 2... maybe some statistics from the winter war would tell you that... Strength of the finnish: ~250 000 men, handful of tanks (less than 50), a bit over a hundred aircrafts against the russians with mroe than 1 000 000 men, many thousand tanks and aircrafts. losses to finnish: 20 000-30 000 dead, some 40 000 wounded, and losses to the russians: over 100 000 dead, over 250 000 wounded... Sounds like something close to cannon fodder... (watching the document "Fire and Ice: The Winter War of Finland and Russia" is honestly recommended, it was a great documentary film)

Also, the statistics of continuation war tells pretty much the same...

Actually they were short rifles and ammo in the early months of the fighting. . Watch the BBC documentary "War Of The Century" If you dont think it was true.

On one hand, I really want a Russian faction in the game. However, I think Relic right now should just focus on getting the game balanced at the moment. Adding another faction or two could throw it all off once again.
