I think that Relic should put new maps in Multiplayer playing.
Especially in 1vs1, 2vs2 and 3vs3.
I think there are already many nice maps that people can play online.
That will rise interest of many players for playing coh.

it would be nice if relic added a number of maps 2v 3v and 4v (last especially) and it has some very nice campaign maps that someone adapted to play in SP or on LAN... which I have in a map pack, I often wonder why they aren't in the main list.
But I think since the makers of the game want it to be a "tournament" style of competition it's not likely to expand any more maps, as for that kind of play there are already too many especially 1v and 2v maps.....reason being people to be in a ranked system need to be able to learn all there is to know about the maps and all the tricks and traps... the more maps the less knowledge per map and the more there is to learn and adapt too... this is the same reason why many sports are truly uninspired as far as play goes... because the competition revolves around a singular skill within a common unchanging framework... and yes it's why after about 100 games on any map, the game becomes repetitive and boring and also wrote formula driven and dull... click, click, click...boom.... repeat.
... on the upside it makes eating pizza and playing a no-brainer... and saves many a keyboard from tomato devastation.
I definitely would like to see more maps coming..
New maps offer chalenges and opportunities for new strategies.
I've been playing the current maps for a while now and its beginning to get pretty boring fighting the same maps again and again.
So please introduce more maps and let our interest sparkle with joy yet again!:P

seriously they make one friggin 4v4 map for OF and it HORRIBLE nothing but a stupid choke map, WITH ONE POSSIBLE BRIDGE TO CROSS TANKS ON!
please make a good 4v4 map! i Opt for a Normandy map of somesort kinda like Point Du Hoc!
4v4 isn't probably of much interest, since it has very very few players... 2v2 ja 1v1 have most of the players, 3v3 has some too, but 4v4 is only a minor fraction...

I think Lyon or Montherme counts as city maps... but in any case, I'd always love for new maps, but for god sakes, please oh please make them balanced (St. Mere makes me shudder)
Well if we must add more maps at least can we get some balanced/non arty maps. So make an urbanized version of McGec's or an updated St. Hilare style map. No arty fests (cough Schelt cough).
We don't need thousands of map, but we need good maps ! Instead of creating 20 maps with bugs, relief problems, unfair chockpoints etc. (who said St.mère ?!) make 5 realy good ones where each building will be chosen and placed in a tactical way, not only for aesthetic.
Urban maps are lacking, something that looks like St. Lô (Campain) would be great for 4v4.

I think it would be more important to improve the performance on low end PC´s first, then u can think about 3v3 and 4v4

New maps will also give more opportunities for new players because old players know well the old ones. and it will take them time to learn the new one..

The problem with COH maps is that to make 1 good quality map it takes months. So you don't see very many maps released. iirc, the only maps that have been added (not by OF) are Beaux Lowlands, Seine River Docks, Langres, Wrecked Train, and St. Mere DuMont.

I think Relic should improve their online servers and code, etc. so that custom maps (both .sgb and .sga) can be played online without need for any sort of -dev thing or a map launcher. Seriously when i used to play UT99 or CoD (i know it's different, but it's an example), if i connected to a server which was playing a map that i didn't have, the map would be downloaded to my computer while connecting. Now considering you really need to have high speed broadband or cable to play online these days, is it really difficult enough for 10 or 20mb to be snuck in there while joining the server? Or perhaps it could be done where a server would not only manage a match going on a the time, but also open up the slots for the map in the next rotation for people to join and wait for the previous match to end. Once their joined and are waiting for the previous match to end, if the player doesn't have the map their qued to play, the server would download it to their CoH folders on their computer, which then once it's on there it would never need to be downloaded again.
I would pay for a nice map pack!
tad off topic, but i was at a lan party earlier and all the other people had more official maps than i did. I only have the original CoH and they have OF but if they host i can join, but i cant host those maps. is there anyway to get them or do i have to buy OF?
You have to buy OF.
However, you also have some maps that they don't.
