    blobby blobs

i was playing 4v4 hog gap when me and my team mates thought we had the upper hand no camping brit trucks outside bridges etc what i would call proper way to play(if there is a way )i thought the enemy was very quiet when all u could see was a mass of huge red blob witth flame throwers nothing was going to stop them, as soon as i saw them i lost all interest in the game there must have been at least 12 to 15 units naa i decided to drop ,now normaly i dont drop but this was just silly(in my view )its just a shame for the game just wondered on other peoples views?

    I would not have dropped

Instead… for some fun, I would have put a bunch of mines behind the defensive line the blob was going to smash through! That way… when they did smash through your line….

Why are you pissed off because of this?

He had units. He attacked you. You had inadequete defenses. You lost. GG.

That he blobbed means you didn't try anything to stop him. No MG's? No Riflenades? No mines? No Stuart canister round? Not a single fucking sandbag?

People need to realise that blobs are overrated. If a player can beats you because he has more guys, that's a legitimate reason to win. Example; if I have 4 Rifle squads and I encounter only 2 Grenadier squads am I a blobber because I attack them? No. I'm engaging the enemy on favourable terms and deserve to win because of it.

If his mass of infantry is able to overcome units that should be able to defeat them then you have a problem. This does NOT include firing up/smoke nading/Heroicly charging past an MG's arc, as that is the intended result of those abilities.

Well if they were Pioneers then you might like to know that apparently they take extra damage if they're massed:

Aside from that, iaguz summed it up perfectly.

If I would say you were a bit silly to drop from the game then I would be expressing myself mildly.

He tries a certain crazy strat on you (which you could easliy have countered) and you turn tail and run. Poor sportsmanship!

use vicker to pin them, back up with bofors and use arty to takem out.
it isnt unfair. its just that you were too noob to figure a smart, effective way of blocking infantry blobs especially when you had british.
o if u had a churchill, just mowem down with that.
however if it were tanks instead of infatry, its a whole different story
