Accused of drop hacking, how to prove innocent?

Just played a low lvl 1v1 automatch, i was wehr and he was yank, im assuming he was in america and i am in australia, so the ping was about 300 odd to each other. within the first few minutes of the game it says he is lagging, then it says he drops. End match option says the game will be decided by relic using the honesty system they have? awards me the win. I then get nasty chat wispers from the guy accusing me of drop hacking and being a general ass and not playing the game fairly blah blah blah he was obviously pissed that it awarded me the win.

It never gave me the option to boot him, so i didnt try to kick him from the game. I didnt do anything other than wait for the match to end. At the end all i could do is click no i dont want to look around the map. Other than his being a total ass, how do you go about proving you dont drophack?

Its only the first game of mine in automatch that ended like that, ive only played about 15 automatches so far. So other than knowing that i didnt do anything sus, im guessing there is no way of proving that you didnt do anything sus.

Why would you need to prove yourself innocent? Even if he did report you, it's not like they're going to do anything about it if it's only happened once.

I'm guessing they only act when someone's been reported, or done it multiple times. Once or twice from actual laggy connections won't get you in trouble.

lit happend to me once: we Fought in 2v2AT against the top 3 team, they were on the good (high)way to win and... game crashed ^^ told us relic would arbitrate the match and gave us the win !!!
what I can say is that top players have no humor at all when losing this way, of course one of them told he would report us ... you idiots... etc ... etc... and did't belived we haven't done anything.
What I' learnt is that I don't want to be a top player because this game becom so important to you that a loss turns you paranoiac, narrow-minded and rude.

It is fairly common that people are sore loosers. Generally, being accused of cheating is really just a different way of saying 'gg, you beat us good' - only less polite and with a lot more cursing.

Also, you don't need to prove yourself innocent. They have to prove you guilty. Which is going to be rather difficult in the best of circumstances, and barring inventive logging, impossible if you didn't actually DO anything.

So don't worry, be happy, and better luck with your next opponent.

There is some sad people desperate enough to win (or not lose) that when things turn bad in game they will try the lame drop hack rather than accept defeat graciously. Unfortunately, your situation is exactly symptomatic of that behaviour and there is nothing you can do. You have a clear conscience, so just forget about it.

Not my worry really, just when i whispered back that i hadn't done anything weird or sus, he just kept on with it. ah well maybe it is better that he got the loss then. servers him right for being so assinanie about it all.

Just tell the guy to shut up because he has no clue.

    Not THAT far from Relic.
Wait, that guy drops, and you are the drophacker? LOL!

Just ignore him and move on; you can expect this kind of behavior online as long as the immature are allowed to play.

You may be forgetting that its Peer to Peer, so while on your screen it would have said he dropped on his it would have said the same about you.

You most likely got the win because of your trust rating. Happened to me just the other day, hadn't played online in 6 months or something, I must have a great trust rating :P

Here is how you prove your innocence-

add him to your ignore list.

    ...Problem Solved!

If it awarded YOU the win, it means he's dropped more times then you have. Anyway, it happens to everyone, best just to move on. The internet isn't like real life- I would never, ever suggest trying to solve any problems by talking it through or trying to explain yourself.

ask him to shut up or report him for false accusing

Yeah i got a win too, except i think i kicked the guy (cos it gave me the option due to him lagging like crazy) and I got the win

Don't mix everything guys, there is intentional drop, kick, and some kind of sync error that end the game. These are 3 different things.
