    Yeap, the plan is to change both Factions to SS counterparts. Mind you, for PE that only means 2 more skins lol

    hi....really nice skins, but just one quick question, for some reason the numbers on the halftracks and tigers have their team colors, i.e. yellow, red, blue. is there anyway i can get rid of those team colors? coz having yellow/blue numbers on a tiger just doesnt look as nice as it shud be.

    You have to download or create a teamcolour file that takes off the team markings. I think that the Acid mod a few threads down from this one has it in the file, just take that one.

    As for the muni halfrack, I think you simply re-name the file to 'tex_pe_munitions_haltrack.rgt' and put it in Shared textures file

    sorry, downloaded the acid mod, but what am i suppose to do with this "teamcolour.lua"? Also, i do not wish to run another mod coz I actually want to use these skins for net gaming.
    instead, can anyone send me the file that has got rid of the team colours for axis vehicles so that i can put them into shared textures i.e. tex_ax_panther.rgt (1kb) <--If i'm correct

    also, with the halftrack skin, did u mean i need to rename and copy all the files in the halftrack skin folder into shared textures or did u mean just tex_ax_halftrack_dif.rgt (or is it tex_ax_halftrack_nrm.rgt??)

    Ok for team colours, open the mod you want to play, open its 'Data' folder and replace the "teamcolour.lua" with the one you got from acid mod.

    For the haltrack, yes you re-name all those files as I said(leaving averything after the 'haltrack' eg. _dif.rgt etc. Then place those files in races-->Panzerelite-->vehicles-->Shared textures

    That should work...

    Stop using my zimmerit nrm files without my permission. You do it second time. (i say about kingtiger and panzer iv). Remove nrm from mod or add your work.

    I wasn't aware of your zimmerit files. My appologies, It'll be removed from the P4 when released...not that it was published and wasn't gonna use it due to the ambush camo.

    If its the King tiger you're worried about, I thought that was Haltracks but It's now removed all the same, no big deal.

    Some one is a bit... and poor Widowmaker1...

    Personally the zimmerit is wrong anyway... I took it off the King Tiger before I even saw the post about it, and it looks better without it... Zimmerit in the game only really works on very plain camo schemes (which they really look good) but for complex camo, it does sort of distract... your Tiger I also looks better without it I think.

    The more I have been looking at skins for the game, the more I think that cleaner more defined skins/camo looks better and renders better for visual appeal - your Panther v.2 looks very good in game and is a great example of what a clean outstanding in-game skin looks like.

    Anyway, don't let the Blue-Meanies get you, they are all around as are the "Apple-Bonkers" and other scary things...

    I won't really get into this and say what I think...

    I didn't really know it was his to begin with.

    But, now that he let me know so 'politely' that it's his file and he doesn't want it used, I have removed it. End of story and drama

    Anyone wishing to use the zimmerit can simply download his mod and then use the nrm file of course with any skin they want...

    Now, here the P4 without zimmerit


    I'll produce new zimmerit versions very soon for those who wish to use em, so don't worry about it, if you don't want to use someone else's Zimmerit

    Zimmerit was officially stopped being used winter 44 I think, due to rumor that if 'White phosphorous shells' hit it, it caught fire. That was never actually proven and as with anything with the german army in 44-45 what was officially supposed to be used and what was used on the field differed. In addition vehicles that had already been produced with it where not actually stripped off so...you had quite a mix on the field...

    Now news on Zimmerit, I've created a new one for the Stug as a start/test and then will go on to make more for Panther/KT/Pz4 so people will have the options

    That's because the '105 gun' uses the same texture file as the same tecture file as the 75mm but streched.Hence the camo on it doesn't look as good. Technical thing i can't do anything about I'm afraid..

    Greetings I sent these links to Tskross and you might like them also... particularly the historical Zimmerit Patterns for each and every unit that had them, also there is a color pallet, and then a large amount of information on Panthers - historical, including a couple of the "Panterfibel" - the operations manual.

    As far the colours are concerned , the reasons why I don't and will not stick to specific shades is because:
    1) There was actual lack of colours 43-45 which meant units on the field used old french/italian paints etc..
    this is why in late 44-45 they even stoped using the red brown and instead left the 'red primer' on the tanks, then applied green and sand only afterwards. Also why you'd see grey tank/vehicless that late as they had run out of other paints to use
    2) Paints had to be diluted before being used and some times that involved adding petrol or other chemicals which altered the shade of the colours. With time, depending how diluted they were and weathering they became even more different
    3)Weather conditions depending on what front they fought also changed the shades of these colours

    Yes, I agree... the RAL system is just a good color pallet for colors and blending for any colors - it helps alot with matching a color on something to a RGB color code as it's a pure color chip - so when you click on it you are certain to get a pixel that is that color and not one that is off as can happen in a photo or something. So when you want say yellow and you match it visually to a yellow on something - you can click on the chip and get that exact color... that is all it is for - and it gives you a name for the main colors. I find it very nice for RGB codes when using PS. You can find any color even greys or red primers and such and they are then pure and correct RGB codes.

    The Zimmerit Patterns are nice and will be historically correct if you choose to put out the .nrm files.

    Hope that helps with the process of research.

    one really noob question . but I'm new in COH so don't get angry.

    I see a "pz IV with a long barrel and armour skirts" skin. now how do I get this unit in game ? i mean where do i build such unit ? or it is off map unit that requires certain doctrine ? i know wermacht has pz IV wilt long barrel but it has no armour skirts - and panzer elite has a pz IV with armour skirts but it has short barrel.
    so what am I missing ?

    Armour skirts are applied ta all your tanks when they reach vet 3 via your kampfkraft center.

    Remove all the Zimmerit from all vehicles armour skirts and mudgards, because that's not historical accurate. They only put Zimmerit on the main boddy.

    By the way, how to get the infantry skins working? Where to put them in?

    Thanks for the feedback. As far as historical accuracy on the StugIV, I 'm afraid you're actually quite wrong. Stug iv as well as many other vehicle received the coating on the mudgards/Shields as is shown in these pictures:

    Well, I've actually got an idea of what the PE grens will look like and should once again be unique and these boys will be a bit more 'green'. I'll see if I can complete them in the weekend for release.

    I wouldn't worry too much about Wagner and that whole deal - anyone that puts things out for free-download in the community should have the mind-set that it's for everyone to use or adapt to their own needs. This is a community that shares and anyone that contributes work is giving it to the community more or less... if someone wants to act like a commercial provider they should label it, charge for it and do the things that are required to license it... and then we can say - no thanks, I don't need more product, but thanks and good luck with that...

    Your doing a great job with the skins, every time someone makes or modifies something in the community that adds for everyone here and I think that everyone here appreciates that work.

    Keep up the good work... and then make my "Dunkel Gelb" skins GD!...LOL.

    LOL! I'm thinking pretty much along those lines. I want the credit yes, but how/what you use and enjoy from the files I release is up to you....some prima donas think differently though...
    Aaaaaaanyways, what do you think about a camo netting on a Marder?I'll add more patches on the hull

    Plain sand isn't really difficult and that's more like something I'd expect for Africa Corps. Its abit too plain for my tastes
