Well, the helmets look crisp clean on this...like my original pics so, no issues there.(admittedly mine are on the highest setting but I would expect a more crisp result than what you got than previous skins)

Hmmmm how odd, and i dunno imouto i think my nets are actually loads brighter but are your all wierd and slodgy between the netting when you zoom close in ?
i'll try installing them again, i am slightly incompetant![]()
they do, but i never get that close to their heads anyway.
Spoiler
unfortunately i'm on a 2.3 amd sempron, 2 gig ram, and a 128 meg gforce 6150se integrated gfx chip, so highest settings/best gfx make the game barely playable lol. i strive for good looks, but playability as well. where it's at is right in that zone.
That's the skin 'stretching' over the helmet...I don't think you can get crisper than that so close
I spent a minute or two writing insults about your monitor/resolution but I can't say anything clever...
You need to run the game at a bigger resolution its way to small... (I think, what is the resolution? 600x400? xD)
*poke*
it's 800x600.
check my last post to see why lol.
For that res I believe they still look damn good... mine is at 1680x1050 I think
i'm on a 17 inch crt dell monitor that get's a yellow tint to the screen every once in a while when i fist turn it on (but will go away after having been on for a bit, yeah, i need a new one). i can try 1024x768.............
btw, when your ranger skins do come out is it possible in the texture to remove the "amphibious" black life preserver looking thing using the alpha trick (how do you do that anyway?), i like them better without it.
If it makes you feel better: the screen/comp always run things better on the native resolution.
well here they are at 1024x768:
Spoiler
i still have a decent fps, but as for when massive explosions and other effexts start filling the screen there's a fairly noticable dip. not game destroying by any means, and only when lots of effects are on screen. but still playable. and yes, that does make me feel better ha,ha.
I can do Imouto, but I won't, sorry cause I like them this way.
It's part of the squad member variation which I find nice.
To be fair the 'whole vest' was discarded pretty much after the D-Day landing and this is part of it. In fact they looked pretty much like any other GI afterwards apart from the arm badge
To be fair, it always annoyed me that the first campaign mission in COH(Omaha landing) used riflemen instead of Ranger skins...in fact...it still annoys me

no prob', your skins. i'm not gonna tell ya how they should be.
just my personal preference is all. i'll be waiting paitently for them.![]()
it's not out yet. We'll have to wait like good little boys until Widow deems them good enough for a pub release :P
Sup! It's kaoS from Electrofish Studios
Ok give us the skins... I can't play coh with my current rangers...![]()

Because I'm so damn nice ladies and gents...download link for version 1 on page 1. As always please share any feedback AFTER testing the skins
. This pretty much completes a US infantry pack. The Second version of the rangers with the beige jacket will follow soon
.
Enjoy then in your games!

Wow. Your skins are really awesome.
By the way, I don't want to have to search the whole thread for this: what is your statement on Opposing Fronts Infantry? Are planning to work on them?
I'm re-starting work on EF at the moment...but British are next on the list...probably(as I've previously mentioned my madness takes over and I some times create random stuff...no control over that).
To be fair I never planed on making a whole US pack and look what happened! I should rename myself the Joker...everyone else has a plan, I just make it up as I go along
On a small note...4th Moderator posting on the thread?? OMFG way too unusual lol

I'm betting this is something about model files... Or... What... Textures are all wrongly placed but I dunno why.
currently reinstalling the skins with original abp and lua files but I doubt I had them in edited form... We'll see.
EDIT: No dice, I think you forgot some sneaky model file O_o

I have this problem too
Okay, fixed![]()
Awesome skins!!!

Thanks for the quick fix, =)
edit
Why would you work upside down anyway!?
xD
You'd be surprised to know the things skinners do to get the job done LOL!!
Anyways...it's what you get when you try and rush people Sooth
Right, whatever... Wont be supportive then. Nice skins tho.
edit... btw they're still weird, but I fixed it for myself - you only flipped it 90 degrees, sorry if I stressed you - didn't mean too was mostly kidding around O_o I'll stop.

You can be supportive but not be over the top, is what I'm saying... ultimately it's your choice, either way I still make the skins available to everyone to enjoy...because I can and I want to
This is fantastic Widow. You have raised the bar to such an extend that I cannot see myself using other inf skins, as the would seem out of place. Many skinners have amazing work with historical accuracy, but your 'battleworn' and extremely detatailed and coherent look has raised the stakes of this fabulous community once again. Thank youAnd I do INDEED hope you plan to make british and PE skins as well. I am getting close to assembling the ultimate skinpack here, and you hold the final pieces
. Have fun skinning!
... BUT i still get messed up skins (like in the screenie above) from the current download. Wazap?![]()
Very nice skins! I hope to see more in the future.
Oh yeah btw, your ranger is still 90 degrees off![]()

Very nice skins mate, the quality and detail is where you have the edge.![]()
Can't wait to see what you pull out next.
Once again great job. Will install them all when your Rangers V2 (beige) are released.

- Die Steine antworteten: "Nein, denn wir sind nicht hart genug!"
huetti07@ use the 'skin installer' and follow the instruction (MAKE sure you BACKUP your ART.sga before doing anything. Reinstalling COH and the damn patches is painful...). Alternatively the Path in COH should be:
Data>art>Models>races>allies>soldiers>Shared_textures
