Yup, my thoughts exactly, Widow does some of the best skins on here, personally my favorites, and it will be a real shame not to even see his great work

Just take a while, the majority of us really respect any work you put into making CoH a better game

I think given the current awful events heavy handed admin-ing is not really that constructive...but hey your the boss.

Happy New Year to all of you.

I started the new year playing the US Campaign once again using Widowmaker1's US Skins. In the cutscene before the landing on Omaha Beach I got the same "helmet-bug" as Strielok in post #1266 for almost every soldier in the landing craft. I don't know if this was fixed, didn't find anything further in this thread.
Later on, when the mission starts at the beach, all soldiers look normal how it should be. Does anyone know how this could happen or how I can remove this?
Maybe for this cutscene the soldiers models are mixed or at least taken from the mg crew, because they all got ammo belts on the upper part of their body.

I find this so silly tbh, you make skins - post them on the INTERNET, and get all offended when someone looks at them and says "I want to make some edits and post it".
It's bad manners but it's like, so obvious. I personally made edits of these skins and use em privately, I don't share em though. But I guess it's widowmakers choice, sucks tbh really enjoyed your infantry skins, but you (no offence meant at all) shouldn't care what random people on the internet do or say about/to your skins. happy continued hols and enjoy 2010 tho, thanks for the skins.

CoolCat, I know what the issue with that is. In the Model Mix version of the rifleman I need to alpha out the MG belts and on the officer skin used I'd need to alpha out the helmet to avoid the issue. it's the same with the 105 crew

widowmaker, i noticed u have posted a pe gren's skin with brown full camo which u havent release yet... is it possible for u to create a werh gren version with the same skins n texture after u plan to release them... it would be awesome to hv werh grens with that skin texture... :-)

That skin texture using dot cammo pattern and it was used by SS units not from Wh ,it is not accurate to use heer units with such cammo. Wh units used splinter pattern and march pattern cammo though.

I'm assuming you mean use the WH gren model with the 'popped up collar' rather than Heer insignia with that SS camo pattern?

It's not likely to be honest, cause I dislike that model and to be fair Geo/Halftrack have already done superb versions of them which are available.

i try to install the skins like i used to when i had xp, but now im on windows 7 and ive had to reinstall everything again, and skins are not showing ingame, just the vanillah coh skins...

I didn't have to change anything. I used the installer the same way under 7 as under XP. Does the installer itself work?

Hi Widowmaker,

I have only just recently come across your skins, and I have to say that thewy are the best Infantry skins I have seen so far! don't get me wrong, your vehicle skins are fantastic as well.

I was hoping you could help me. I've installed your Infantry skins but the vehicle crews are missing. During play there is a blue box that says that an RGT file is missing. I'm not sure what this means since I'm new to modding.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

What you need to do is open the 'vehiclecrew.abp' file and remove the following line:
"..\\..\\Commonwealth\\Soldiers\\axis_hp\\Tanker",

@ gamerisin: yeah i have seen that ... but the problem is that you can't have widowmaker's wehrmacht skins and this pe luftwaffe skin at the same time for some reason ... if i try to my luftwaffe forces are all pink ... that's why widowmaker wrote this:

ummm...well u can have as many skins u want if u use Corsix,for example the Luftwaffe I have has like what...mmm...8 or 9 skins,so if u know how to use Corsix then I don't think there'll be a problem,sorry if I can't help u further

Just lurking by and wanted to say that you cannot use Corsix, since Corsix is a person. However you can use the ModStudio.

I think people is smart enough to understand that when someone says "Use Corsix" they know they mean ModStudio

If not then use Corsix Mod Studio :P

I too noticed the Luftwaffe missing in the pack, however he skinned the original Luftwaffe skin and did a really good job of it too. Just open up the luftwaffe.abp file, remove the two lines below;

"..\\..\\Axis\\Soldiers\\Volksgrenadier\\Luwa_volksgrenadier_body",
"..\\..\\Axis\\Soldiers\\Panzergrenadier\\Equip_luwa",

and add in their place;

"Luftwaffe\\Luftwaffe",

and it'll work.
