Why should I set up an account and edit this when I can just make a thread on the forums?
Well, little Timmy, because people from Relic will be checking the buglist much more regularly than they will be checking the forums. The bug list gives them one place to gather all the information from, and they simply don't have time to spend trawling forums for nuggets of information when it can be much easier contained in one single place.
Does that mean I shouldn't make any threads on the forums about Playtest balance?
No, not quite. You are encouraged to discuss the effects of the patches on the game, and debate how they effect other areas. In fact, that's one of the purposes of this section. What you should not do, however, is create threads that do not discuss changed aspects of the Playtest, since we have an OF balance section for that purpose, and posting here does not increase the chances of your idea being read.
Ok, that sounds fairly reasonable! How do I make changes to the page?
First, you create an account if you don't already have one. Once you have an account, you will see an 'edit' tab appear beside the 'article' and 'discussion' tabs at the top of the page. Click this, and it will bring you to an edit box, where you can add your stuff in. Spend a bit of time familiarising yourself with the layout and how things look in the edit box compared to the actual page before confirming things, since this will reduce the chances of things breaking horribly
