bikes? Interesting...
I thought bikes where to buggy to acctually use in-game. Have you managed to fix this?

The mind is like a parachute. It doesn’t work unless it’s open.

Thanks J-man
So gather everyone can name whats what there being so learned in the ways of the Ravenwing
Yes Bikes work fine bro... however, the *lucky* testers will help us further refine them.
those are some really, really cool ravenwings bikes
The mod looks awesome so far i really can't wait for the realease!
i really hope this mod isnt dead. Its amazing and it renders the dlc for Dawn of War 2 useless, because (IMHO) Dawn of War Soulstorm is by far, a better game.
#757
Well we're sorta not dead considering we updated the thread a week back..![]()
Alright, that's great news! Its just that a lot of Dawn of War mods are starting to drop off and I was only worried this one was. I fully understand how long it takes and i appreciate all the work. Also, I didn't notice the date of the last update, my mistake.
#759
Thanks man! Hang in.. mods take time to develop and while they MAY seem to be "dropping off" there is always some form of dev working going on in the background.![]()
dropping off? 2011 is the year of DoW modding, if anything the wait is killing me.
I hope 2012 will be the year of playing DoW mods from the year of modding
#761
2012 is the Mayan abyss so best get most of everything done.![]()
Hello. Specifically, on December 21, 2012, the winter solstice, on this particular date is an alignment between the sun and the center of the Milky Way. This event occurs once every 25,800 years.
#763
Yep... [rolls up sleeves] Better then get some mods out!![]()

**UPDATE**
DA Limited Beta is about to go live. Within the next 24-48hrs will be contacting a few people here to link them over to the DA revora forums to commence the LONG AWAITED official beta.
WE NEED PEOPLE WHO LIVE, BREATH, and SH*T everything that is Lion El'Jonson. We can only accept a few people who are capable beta testers and who can provide good and detailed "point-form" feedback.
I've never even been able to figure out what his real name is supposed to be...and not for lack of trying (well, okay, probably I haven't put in the infinite amount of effort necessary to be absolutely certain it isn't for lack of trying, but I suspect that there is more to the mystery than just my sloth).
#767
Tons of material on anything War40k if you want to do the research. We even have him and most of the LIVING/IN-STASIS Primarchs voice-scripted and will be voiced soon **BUT** thats not to ever say they'll be added in anywhere. Its a side-effort going well though.
![]()
Too much contradictory source material is a bit of the problem (I suspect some sort of dark design, there). The investigation will continue.
Is this private beta the last step before a public release? I'm a bit ignorant on what's done and what's missing in this mod.
#770
Yes. Everything is pretty much done in the mod apart from real minor bits here and there.
We've come a lonnng way, baby, since the heady days of May'08...![]()
lol, is it weird I was expecting a no? Am I too used to unfinished mods?
I hope the private beta can clear out most problems so it won't last too long to further torture me
#772
@Chiu ChunLing: if you are talking about Lion El'Jonson it means Son Of the Forest
And is there a questionnaire attached to becoming a beta tester?
#774
Just a DNA, Urine, and Blood samples followed by Retinal and Finger scans then maybe we'll forego the Inner Circle-approved skills test.![]()
#776
*UPDATE*
- Final package is going up tonight for the 'select' testers to mull over.
- Testers will be contacted via pm here and on Revora within the next 24hrs. We'll likely have a good base of people but COMMITMENT is essential -> we succeed based on YOUR input, men!
- Techmarines not allowed (but thrill us enough and we'll make a RARE exception; once in a while we sorta adore cheap artsy fartsey stuff from Mars).
#777
*UPDATE*
- 1.5 month long test beta has been going EXTREMELY WELL and we're getting VERY CLOSE to a full public offering. I think the testers will agree its looking pretty solid. Now whether a very late 2011 or early 2012 launch is going to happen thats undecided and is based on the final little bits to do.
*REQUEST*
We need a texturer to help with the strat/relic/critical flag head poles. Its a real simple job and it will be added to the all-encompassing Objectives Point mod which jONES1979 graciously took over from Prom last year and which is making CONSIDERABLE progress in itself. If you have some free cycles this Christmas season please let us know asap.
Thanks Community!
I live, breathe, and eat dark angels and look forward to this mod greatly. Once the open version drops (if you don't mind, IS there a release date now???) I believe my social life will go to zero. Cannot wait
#779
Well the second major beta is going super-well... early 2012 looks QUITE likely... we're ALMOST there and the last 1.5 months of grindstone testing has been incredible. We're seriously looking at a primo piece of business here.![]()
How early?Well the second major beta is going super-well... early 2012 looks QUITE likely..
#781
But no one cares... its just silly marines with robes...
Depends how well the 3rd beta goes.. the team wants this out to the world shortly after IDH for SS is released.
Lol I'm sorry to be annoying, IDH SS is released this week right?Depends how well the 3rd beta goes.. the team wants this out to the world shortly after IDH for SS is released.
#783
Yes thats the target. Why? No one really cares about the damn Inquisition! They all look so.. weird and behave like a bad supply teacher. Ick!
Apologies for getting off topic.
Ooohhhh but I for one loves Inquisition.Me likes them destroying mah Daemons.
Well for the record, every race in production will be played with. I'm sure of it because...
1. New stuff, new objectives, strategies, techniques.
2-60. DOC even proves very playable.
#785
Yep.. we'll you'll get to see it soon enough![]()
DA is really moving, however, and I'd love to target an end-of-Jan'12 launch... it would have been this month but don't want to be too over-zealous. Its ALMOST there..
Let me start of by saying I am a big fan of Dark Angels and I can't wait for this mod. It looks brilliant.
Now I have a quick question is there a company master in the mod and if so is he the model with the power sword or combi plasma gun?
#787
Company Master (ie. Tier1 Force Commander-like unit) has the Sword of Secrets upgrade (starts with Chainsword) and has a feathered helm.
Azrael is the majestic later tiered HERO who has the combi weapon.![]()
As long as hes got a feathered helm he is amazing.
Can't wait. It'll be cool to see Azrael fighting enemys instead of sitting on my shealth.
#789
Why do Dark Angels wear robes? If so, do Blood Angels where robes as well?
Dark angels use robes to signify experiance in battle. There supposed to be worn only by veterans, but if your like me you use them in every squad in the army. And no I don't think the Blood Angels do actualy how strange.
Chapter flavor, I guess. Blood Angels don't wear robes. They're more about blood and wings and Death Company
#793
Hmm.. I've seen standard DA marines wear robes so its not just Vets.. its randomized in the DA project.
I mean its meant to be just vets but nearly everyone uses them as standard marines otherwise the dark angels would look just like any other chapter, except their green.
Cylarne Asked:1] Master Cylane, it is a fluff thing. The DA Codex 4th ed. (mainly, Inner Circle, pg.11) has the needed info.1] Why do Dark Angels wear robes? 2] If so, do Blood Angels where robes as well?
In brief: The knightly order of Caliban had that tradition, that passed into the founding of the Inner Circle. Members of the inner circle are aware of the hidden dark secret of dark angels (about the schism - almost half of them went traitors as the succumb to chaos - the Fallen Angels), and since they are still a knightly order, they wear robes.
2] As far as I know, no other chapter uses FULL robes. They are "Inner Circle"-specific. Black Templars, a monastic chapter as well, also uses robes - but not hoods.
About the Dark Angels MOD
The "robes" thing is PERFECTLY implemented in the MOD, so no worries. As Thudo the Magnificent posted:Which is 100% correct (as expected).Hmm.. I've seen standard DA marines wear robes so its not just Vets.. its randomized in the DA project.
It is true that veterans (as members of the inner circle) always wear robes, but robes are not veterans' exclusive.
I mean, fluff-wise, there is no STRICT limitation for the marines in the DA chapter to wear robes (it is not common, but it is not rare either).

Long time indeed since anyone posted anything about this gem ! So I will do the annoyance : Last days of January, no news... How is the mod going ?
Private beta-testing in progress since December 2011Long time indeed since anyone posted anything about this gem ! So I will do the annoyance : Last days of January, no news... How is the mod going ?
Well-said man!Long time indeed since anyone posted anything about this gem !
Anyways, as Jones said, the project is in internal BT progress, and the team is VERY close to conclusion. It is just a small model problem that forces us to delay our efforts - but we cannot go public unless this is done (we want a SOLID release!!!). Rest assured though, the current internal built has even passed the state of "release candidate"!
Ahem... Chiu, YOU ask ?
