    Wow. I feel so bad not being involved in the post production process (but shitty comp stuff happens, and once it was fixed I wasn't of much use) Congrats to all indeed. I'll make the post in DoW GD, you guys relax and enjoy, once I get Weav's attention in IRC.

    In the meantime, I did throw something up in the DoW2 forums in their section for other relic games. Linky

    @badgut:

    1)wich mod are you playing ? the CMPII is not mod-compatible (but the code can be made modcompatible)

    2)run the game in -dev mod, post here your scar error log or
    a screenshot of the scar error when you get it.

    without precise explanation of the scar error context we can't solve it.

    no i am not running any mods.
    and i have deleted it because when i want to play it online and i have made a room everyone gets kicked without that i pushed the kick button

    Tried the map for a while yesterday, together with the skirmish AI mod. I really liked it, although some passages were very narrow, which lead to heavy causalties when trying to advance an entire army (I guess I should have used a portal instead). The map was so big that I only explored about 25% of it myself, and then my team was about to loose so I didn't bother playing any more.
    Will definitely play this map again though, it's awesome.

    Just curious. Do you have Dark Crusade patched to 1.2?

    I should have made a userbar before the release but I didn't think about it. So, late but better than never, here is a userbar so you can pimp CMP2 wherever you go on RN, or other forums for that matter. Just copy and past this code into your signature **NOTE** Be sure to remove the spaces between the first "[" in each section of the code.

    So far it's going down well. Possibly a phantom SCAR error floating around, which I apologise for in advance. Would be nice to get more feedback on the individual map sections, but I'll settle for overall manic praise

    congrat on the senior membership Fuggles, (i wondered if i could be one too but i definitively do not fit with the seniorship club rules...)

    i would also like to thanks every member of the cmpII team for the job they made on this project and the patience they showed enduring my "assholeyness" as a project manager.
    And of course to every one showing support by posting on this thread(s). Congratulations to all : we did a great job.

    a CMPIII ? ....hehe....why not ? but i have some other project in mind and i wish some other mappers would join it for the benefit of the whole mapping comunity.
    This project would be more ambitious than a single map : a unified and standardized mapping mod alowing the addition of custom object/units/fx and such mapper goodies.
    See my frozen impact project to see the potential of such a mod.

    edit: i saw there's a potential mapping contest brewing at Dow files....we shall meet there...the gauntlet is thrown.

    ok guys bad news here:

    we got a scar error running on the DC version:

    error about invalid blueprint ln 402 related to SS unit blueprint name present in the code for DC (the t_banned stating the flyers unit in SS requires to be change, the tbale located at ln95)

    So Mr Fuggles i would like you to corect the code and make it clear of error for DC asap....errr....please. send me the new scar file for me to post it on dow files asap.

    I'll contact that DoW guy about putting the updated version on DoWfiles. At least it was the DC version that won't be downloaded as much as the SS.
    The DC link on the first post is the updated one, correct?

    sorry to rain on youre parade as this is infact AWSOME

    but i have pink 2 "?" every where i do know why i do map myself (a little anyway)

    but despite my best file searching including hidden files i cannot find the SS or the DC default decals folder and have there for been unable to the work around for ME or add youre decals properly and having rather just smashed them all into my main map directory

    C:/blahblahblahblah/W40k/Scenario/Mp


    also was under the impression this would have an intaller looking at the credits anyway.


    P.S- some of the best mappers in the unverse worked on this so don't think im speaking down im having to jump on stilts for you to hear me =)

    Any and all decals should got in <main install directory>/DXP2/Data/Art/Decals

    I would have added the map file as the "File of the Week" so it would garner more attention, but I don't have the access to that anymore =S

    Just played the map guys, and I have to say its a great work of art, good as any mod. it also plays really good, i had some lag for about 2 mins at the begining, but it slowly dissapated, my only complaint is that some of the "mountains" are really sharp and play hell with the camera. i will probably give a better report in a week or a few days, considering when i am able to play it with real people.

    myself and a mate played this the other night...and wow...spent over an hour playing it before we won...fantastic map everyone :-) at fuggles...in your area...were you the one who came up with the FC spawn idea??? brilliant...drove me nuts...and resulted in mass building of turrets but ye!

    ye...what can i say we were a tad slow :P we found out after we massed 4 or 5 turrets, a squad of chaos marines and half an ork army on that spot :P then we activated your special get out clause :P (for those who havnt played it) i'd hate to ruin the surprise

    Just downloaded the map and pounded around on it a bit. Three words:

    Un.

    Phreakin'

    Believable.

    This map is truly epic. I've enjoyed some of your individual work (fuggle's Random Win Conditions mod for Soulstorm, Ira Aduro's armor-clad Avatar skin and Dead of Winter map, etc.) but when you combine your modding superpowers, the results are astounding. Great job, keep it up!

    Wow, I'm stunned at the amount of praise we've gotten for this. I remember the idea back at it's conception when it was just me and forlorn working on some crazy ideas over MSN, then seeing it evolve into what can only be described as one of tyhe single greatest achievments in DoW mapping ever. Of course, I played a relatively small part in all this. The main contributions came from Jag, who we would never have done this without and we should all direct a fair amount of praise at him. He kept us in line, on schedule (mostly) and dealt with much more than anyone expected of him and for that he is to be congratulated. We all overcame barriers in this project. The problem with overlapping textures, what to do with the gates and various other problems. It's a miracle we all came through in one piece.
    So congratulations everyone. We did good.

    Yep the forums were hacked, from what I read the hacker managed to get into the database and started deleting accounts, posts, ect.
