    For now, since I have changed some things, you cannot load Terminators into the LR Prometheus anymore, so your bug should no longer be a problem anyway..!

    Hey Gerberman,

    I recently tried this mod and have to say it's fantastic - it's like many mods in one! Keep up the great work.

    Just a question (I know that this is frowned upon, and I really don't mean to rush you) but do you have any rough time frame as to when the final or near-final (1.0?) version will be out? I guess part of this question is how much more will be done to it, other than polish what's already there?

    Personally I think there's more than enough units to chose from, I think you've definitely given us lots of stuff to play with.

    Is this true that you will add Grey Knights to SoB? That would be sweet, and a great idea to combine instead of relying on more 'factions'.

    Also, will the last version (or earlier) have all the other Advanced AI options, such as 'massive battles', etc? Noticed it's not in this one. Again, not rushing, just asking.

    As it is right now, the only GK's are those that shipped with vanilla SS, bumped over to SoB. If they get expanded upon will depend on the kindly folks at FoK. Either way it will not be for while, because I personally think it a little cheap to seize upon any new stuff they put out right away.

    1.0... well, once I get all races to a decent level of balance and expansion (variables permitting) I will go beta, iron out bugs, balance and then go 1.0.

    Marstone/Gerberman - thanks for the replies. Just 1 more question: So will SM lose their Grey Knights? Or maybe just have SoB's be able to build more than 1 squad? I know that the IDH mod "got rid" of the SM GKs and replaced them with a Deathwatch skin. It was clever and I respect their choice but I missed the SM GKs because they looked good.

    Anyway, your guys' work is so appreciated, mods like this keep the game alive & kickin'!

    Bah, forget the SM and SoB, we need Daemonhunters race!!! That is where the Grey Knights will be at home!

    School just started up, so I am trying to snipe the rest of the texturing on 3dCAD for Pylon. I like idea of off strike pylon ability though in meantime!

    P.S. Autarch has abilities yet? If not, he needs to have off site Revenant Titan strike just to show the Farseer who's Boss.

    Seeker, hey dude, good to hear from you. I've been tinkering with the offsite pylon strike ability FX, not done yet but when it is, well, it will be in for the next release. I have kinda neglected Eldar for this release, concentrtating on the new SM faction. But Revenant Titan strike sounds like a nice addition to the uber they already got. No reason a race can't have more than one after all, more choice!

    In a nutshell: mostly balance and bug squishing & added a new branch to SM which plays very differently from normal SM.

    Eldar has an uber? I must see this for myself!

    Just saying before I actually test out new version, if Autarch is not the one to cast any uber, and gets the titan strike, Im going to code into the mod myself the "Im a Boss" song to be played briefly after casting. Just for the sake of it happening.

    Hey guys, I'm pretty knowledgeable on 40k, but I cant figure out why there are FAR more farseers out there commanding and doing battle than Autarchs, when farseers and female eldar should be conserved since eldar pregnancy takes nearly a thousand years?

    P.S. Gerberman, I predict heavy forum bickering if u give Eldar two ubers. I recommend keeping it to one unless you decide to take it upon yourself to split the effectiveness between two uber abilities for balance, or make two for all other races (except SM, cuz we all know they are overpowered bastards anyways).

    Its because GW considers farseers more interesting and that the autarchs are still relatively new to the eldar, plus female eldar are usally have stronger bonds in the webway, and i think them could be scared to start a baby eldar boom just in case it leads them down the same road as before with giving birth to slaanesh.

    Oh and gerb, you may want to remove the grey knight upgrade from the space marine armoury, as well as move the GK to the SOB in the army painter.

    And Iv noticed on the techmarine that his axe thing and the combi-melta just become black once you upgrade to the combi-melta.
    There we were, ready to charge the loyalist scum, and then suddenly we were under fire from our west flank. Batshit mental. We turn to return fire, and somehow they sneaked a bunker in, right next to us! We didn't have any meltas so we got the hell out of there. CREEEEED!

    Don't feel bad, I can usually only take on the easy computer, and I had a buddy who tried the mod, very good at vainilla (takes on insane and wins). He plays the mod and lost against an easy computer. And he was playing against the SM

    BUGS BUGS BUGS!!!

    Just tried all races for 0.6a

    Imperial Guard have no TARGETTING!!! Example: Leman Russ Command Tank fires main guns, but side sponsons dont fire at any target adjacent. Also, guardsmen flamers dont work (They dont flame!!!).

    Eldar support platform or whatever it is called built from main is a pink icon. That focused Eldritch ability is great and all, but lets think about it here. I pit Farseer and Seer Council (with all Soul Shrine upgrades) against Necron Lord, a single squad of Necron warriors, and a Tomb Spyder. You would think rape on a stick is about to happen to necrons, but with all abilities expended (including your new Eldtritch ability), I lose.

    Gerb, my suggestion is to give the eldar what they need, an ability with a massive AoE just like most of the other races (Revenant strike FTW). As for the special Eldritch ability, keep it, as it's miniscule AoE just makes it a useful tool rather than a Mass Effect ability.

    Autarch still only a muscleman? Come on. He's boss compared to Farseer. He may not be as psychically tuned as the Farseer, but he's so boss in comparison.

    Autarch ftw.

    I predict mass forum attack from those who dont agree.

    Oh and Gerb, I think I finished the textures for the Pylon (finally), but I completely forgot to ask, "How big did u want it?"

    Eeee, so many replies! Yeah 8 hours time difference is a little nagging, though not so much that as having had only four hours sleep prior to travelling after an 18 hour day, then putting in another 25 hours before hitting the pillow again... Meh. Little sleep dep never hurt anyone.

    Ok so,

    Badgut, the mod currently does not use UCS, its all in the e & sbps files in plain text. Ill probably change it, just I'm a bit lazy when it comes to the little things.


    Seeker, yeah, San Diego county. Got a condo on the beach, its awesome. Except for all the jarheads cutting about. But as a military dude myself I can cope.

    Cheers for the bugs, some of which I will look into having not had those issues myself. I played IG with a friend recently and well, basically had none of those errors you mention in relation to them.

    Eldar are still a WIP, so bugs abound, many pink things included. The eldritch ability, its not small, I am wondering if I've not bugged that too. Should be all big and glowey over a wide area...?

    I tend to think that Necrons are still a little OP, anyone agree?

    As for the Autarch, he is the primary commander now on the Assassinate win condition if I am not mistaken, I've just not done much with him at the mo.



    Awesome about the Pylon. I am thinking size wise, as big as the monolith? Setting different can be done via the art/ebps/.../[pylon].lua anyway.

    How are you with firing FX for when the pylon works its green appearing magic?

    Hey, Gerb. There is a problem here. The game crash when i play as SM in the game. Its not unloading...its just crash when i played in the middle of the game. Any solutions?

    And anyone face the same problem as me?

    Necrons are not overpowered. They merely require you to be faster than them in order to defeat them. A player who leaves necrons alone is a player wanting to be pwned.

    I bring patches for the SM, some scar code, improved painter for Sister and SM, and a fix for the SM armoury. {X} As usual just drop it into you SS base folder and say yes to any over rides.

    ONe last thing: Gerb was right the Autarch is the leader of the Eldar in the assassinate win condition.

    Im gonna be gone for awhile from any and all work on this mod.

    I run a Warhammer 40k fan club on my campus, and I along with my staff are organizing a Dawn of War Soulstorm Open Tournament.

    But hey, guess what... we are going to be using THIS MOD!!! Just to throw the publicity out there. All credits will go to the guys who made this mod happen.

    Of course though, if this is not allowed, one word and we will drop it back to the original build Soulstorm.

    When does your tournament start? Once we get AI and I have ironed out any major bugs (not many mentioned so far!) Ill get a new build / patch uploaded for you.

    If your club could note down any bugs as they are found that would be more than a little helpful, but absolutely feel free to use it!

    Tournament starts in very late October. We begin registration this friday, and will use the computer room on campus for the tournament, and training newbies till then.

    @sheng check your warnings log in you main DC folder, that should tell you what caused it to crash. And you might want to post it so others can have a look and maybe give you an idea of what happened. Ok?

    use the argument that they are two completely different games (RTS vs. FPS) and one is a one a strategic level and the other is a shooter, and there is now way that you could ever could make a map to emulate the school properly, and the SS is in a sci-fi fantasy world will counter-strike is a more real world deal. And maybe the fact that a North Dakota High School can play we can't we?

    And quick thought for the flamer problem check if you have the fx for it.

    FX is there. They dont flame. I must have played them at least twenty times and they dont flame.

    Is there any way to make flamers on the leman russes more responsive? They work, but only when beig completely mobbed at close range. It takes them 5 seconds to even begin, and they spew flame for mere seconds before dying out and process begins again.

    No idea if it's a cause or part of, but the ucs strings (that is, the numbered strings that are used for all the ingame help, infos and flavour texts) wich conflicts might not help your matter.
    Also, if each time you're playing SM the game crashes, there might be an issue with them, in whatever mod you're using...

    That first log shows you are running Legions alongside a couple of other mods? This might be the problem. The second log mentions many mods but not Legions, in closing it was actually on Table Top Round Up.

    Not sure about the EBPS error on the nuke, Ill look at that one.

    It also points to a registry error finding your CD key!

    Hey, anyone got any more feedback on the SM First Company branch?

    Here's what I got planned:

    - Base increase in all veteran weapons range & more effectiveness to the CC vets
    - Research for T3 to allow all vet weapons to fire on the move (including heavy)
    - Ability similar to Chaos Furious Charge, though less damage to be taken by the vets & more speed given to movement
