    America

    1) Lieutenant Powell

    a) Ability " Shot bazooka" is incorrectly . After a shot it is necessary to depart or the icon remains activated

    b) Powell can take to 2 superfluous Thomson without improvement on it and one with improvement. On damage the hero it doesn't influence in any way.

    2) Improvement from Armor doctrine doesn't influence veterancy of 1 level on Stewart, Calliope, Mass Product Sherman and Priest


    3) The ability badge "Repair in field conditions" from Armor doctrine isn't displayed on Stewart, Mass Product Sherman and Priest

    PE:

    1) By transportation infantry in supply halftrack PE
    Machine gunners are displayed incorrectly


    2) Volsgrenaders PE and the hero have no ability "Sprint"

    Powell bug is knowed. Just move him and everything will be fine. I may have forgot some tanks in the tank veterancy upgrade.The "Repair in field conditions" does not appear on the stuart and Priest (don't know how to fix that) but it is applied on them. The supply halftrack PE is a real bug I did not notice. Volksgrenadiers are not supposed to have the sprint ability.

    I have a problem in combiner.bat NHC-E.FRONT

    The problem is that when I enter the combined mod, the Soviets do not go out.
    Another problem is that alone they go out buckets.

    Update your EF (use their exe) and if the problem persist, it must be because you are playing on a bad map or you have messed with the AI somehow.

    I have reinstated Eastern front and NHC
    And the problem persists.
    The avtivar COMBINER.BAT eastern front is loaded by it perfectly but only there go out the armies of EUA AND ENGLAND
    The URSS do not appear.
    If post EASTERN FRONT normally I can play with USSR without problem.

    Not that I can do.

    @helenchan: the previous trick with the attrib file still work. Extract the previous zip file in the the NHCToV folder (link is dead but if the DataAttrib.zip is still on your computer it will works). Note that it will be the previous Powell without direct fire.
    @xaff: I don't understand the problem. Please explain your problem more clearly

    Of course you can edit anything (it is called modding) but don't expect to be able to play multiplayer game with other players having the 2.4a after that. If you decide to publish your mod, please mention clearly that it is based on NHCmod 2.4a.

    I hope that no. There are normally only stat modifications for balance purpose (I don't agree with all the new changes) but no news units so I don't think it will cause any trouble to the mod.

    Sorry for my word cause misunderstanding. I mean can I use Mod studio to mod disable AI produce Powell instead of using the old Dataattrib.zip file to do so? I am really like Powell setting, I don't want to lose those interesting features and settings.

    Actually, I have played the game as versus normal AI...because I am not match to play RTS, my thinking is too slow. I have never played the game online with other players because I have nonconfidence. I like using Powell when I played allies, but I cannot defend him when I played axis, especially AI usually keep producing Powell that I hardly defeated him once. I think if AI can only produce Powell one time, or disable AI produce Powell, I would enjoy the game and the mod more.

    Yes you can use Corsix to modify the mod. Just edit immediately in the mod (click "open CoH mod" then select NHCToV.module). Go to the file attrib\attrib\sbps\races\allies\soldiers\Powell_squad.rgd
    double click then on the right windows open the list and delete the "squad_ai_ext" and then save the file. The AI will no more be able to produce Powell.

    I have tried three heroes, Officer, Wilhelm Deinhard and SAS squad. All of them have interesting improvements, it's very great! Sorry that I cannot describe precisely, but I am really amazed those new skills! I should, but I have not try Powell yet. I must try it later.

    Officer adds smoke skill, it really improves the defensive ability! It's crazy combine group with flammenwerfer team. Wilhelm Deinhard really shoots as sniper! It's impact and concrete! Besides, the focus snipe skill makes the setting perfect. What a ideal sniper! SAS squad adds mark target skill that greatly improve his support characteristic. I like produce a several of squads group together with SAS squad. Infrantries and light vehicles cannot hold them back! I really like all the stuffs in this v2.4a such as boy's AT rifle and other changes!Thanks for ab2531 and your team for creating this very best version!

    You made me download NHC mod again with this huge new update.
    I liked NHC mod but the fact there was no real development any more on it and so many bugs caused me to remove it.
    But this new update brings it all back to live.
    Quick question: does the combiner thing only work with Eastern Front or also with Blitzkrieg or any other mod?

    Still the .bat launcher and the icon are really nasty. It looks so cheap and there is a better way of launching NHC mod.

    @Frehelias: The combiner is for Eastern Front and Joint Ops. The Blitzkrieg mod changes too much things sorry. Oh and I wanted to launcher to be ridiculous not serious because it is not a serious mod. There are too many crazy things inside it.

    Hello gentlemen. ab2531, I want to ask you to increase the number of units in the units in Germany. The United States in units to 10 units, while in Germany for only 6-8.     A little explanation is needed to see why there are fewer men in german squad in the original game:

    US Riflemen stat:
    HP=55
    M1Garand damage=10
    mean accuracy=(0.75*8+0.55*(17-8)+0.35*(35-17))/35=0.4928
    (it means 49% of the bullets will hit on the average)
    US sergent stat:
    HP=55
    M1Carbine damage=7
    mean accuracy=(0.75*8+0.55*(17-8)+0.25*(35-17))/35=0.4414
    total squad HP=6*55=330
    total squad firepower=5*10+7=57
    squad mean accuracy= (0.4928+0.4414)/2=0.4671
    squad cost= 270

    Axis Grenadier stat:
    HP=80
    K98 damage=15
    mean accuracy=(0.85*8+0.7*(17-8)+0.5*(35-17))/35=0.6314
    Axis Grenadier leader:
    HP=80
    mp44 single fire damage=15
    mean accuracy=(0.8*8+0.6*(17-8)+0.5*(35-17))/35=0.5943
    total squad HP=4*80=320
    total squad firepower=4*15=60
    squad mean accuracy= (0.6314+0.5943)/2=0.6128
    squad cost= 300

    So as you can see there a little more health in the the riflemen squad than in the grenadiers squad but to compensate that, the grenadiers squad has a better firepower and is more accurate. Note that I did not count fire rate and good or bad cover change drastically the accuracy.

    Now about the Pershing and Tiger I:
    Pershing stat:
    HP=990
    main gun damage=137.5
    reinforce cost=800

    Tiger stat:
    HP=1064
    main gun damage=137.5
    reinforce cost=1000 (but you get a stormtrooper squad in bonus)

    Yes, they look the same but with tank combat there is another factor called the "penetration" of the shells. The fact is that the armour of the Tiger is thicker than the Pershing's so the Tiger can last longer and the stormtrooper squad for only 200 is cheap.

    In summary, I am not willing to change the original gameplay balance.

    Interesting idea. I know how to do that with the "award" menu from ToV but I don't think I want to do that. It would require some new pictures and I am not an artist.

    Hi Frehelias, there are a few things that need to be done before the next release. For Kapaull suggestion, I would need big picture of every available hero to put them in the award menu. For the new units that are ready but do not have icon or symbol: Flakpanzer 38(t), Elefant, 81mm MMC M21, Opel Blitz with 2cm Flak38, Halifax Badger Bomber.

    If you are ready to do these things (or some part of it), I will send the beta version I am currently working on (Yeah, I am not hibernating until January ), so you can make screenshots and make icon and picture from them. You will of course get credits for all your works (but no money).

    MouahHAHA, I finally managed to plug a PS2 keyboard to this macbook pro and I can now make screenshots and play correctly!

    Here are the things I have been implementing these days:
    • Pershing ace with tank commander made by Halftrack:

    • Opel Blitz with 2cm Flak38 made by eliw00d and DMZ:

Love it almost as much as running my donkey right up to powel and hit the "don't touch this" button. I'll be ing around until this beta for sure.

    Awesome job ab2531, will give this a test drive tonight and edit in this post, my initial observations. The only issue I've come across lately (having played 2.2. & 2.4 now) is when playing allies. I hope you'll figure out a way to give them the donkey artillery unit, or allow a couple extra support units (Calliope/Priest) regardless of doctrine choices if not the donkey. I was thinking as well, the Churchill AVRE mortar thing could do with a range increase perhaps. Kudos on the allied AA unit, its hard to nab those Henchels.

    Balance-wise, I would say its harder to play U.S. or Brit but I play them anyway cause I like the toys you've given them so far (again, thus far only having observed 2.2 & 2.4 at this point). On the supply truck, I was wondering if you have room left to add loran korn's portable .30 cal to the U.S. truck and the MG34 to the german's truck? Could help with the hero problems if any, plus its always fun to test drive new toys.

    READ THE README:

    The "combiner mod" allows you to play "Company of Heroes: Eastern Front" with "NHCmod" at the same time.
    You need to download both "NHCmod ToV" and the latest "Company of Heroes: Eastern Front" to use the combiner mod.
    To start the combiner mod, click on "Combiner.bat". It will automatically load both mod and mix them.
    The Eastern Front mod is available here:

    (It is a very big mod so it is highly recommended to defrag your disk after installation)
    If you don't have both mod, the game will crash. Note that the Combiner gives priority to Eastern Front. So every features of
    Eastern front are present with the combiner some part of the NHCmod are missing (e.g. Light tank cannot crush infantry in the combiner mod)
    The combiner also support the Joint Ops mod which can be downloaded here:
