    I've been playing this mod for few months (COH + OF 2.600) against my brother (All versions including TOV 2.600) and on campaign. I was wondering if the inclusion of TOV AI support fixed the British behaviors. I really liked the above suggestions of an expandable drop menu (you could make one for machineguns one for rifles and one for heavy weapons), the addition of a pickup springfield/gewher 43, and the fixing of the tread breaker for use on all tanks (the allies should have a unit with tread breaker). I would also suggest that the Priest is fixed and that the aces be recallable after a long period of time (30 minutes?). If you expand the command tree you should make the allied off-map support equal to the brits version, make all SS tigers black and only the aces have the Reich eagle emblem, give the howitzers a sandbag style emplacement with an auto fire ability (add auto fire to the 25 pounder as well), give the officer a sturmpistole if you could find a way to add it (ever played the outfit?), give Wilhelm Deinhard the Stormtrooper's bundled grenade, add counter battery to almost all artillery (at least one unit for every faction), make all Panzer elite tigers 205's, could you add a tank version off fire up that increases rate of fire and movement, make all incendiary grenades more powerful and anti tank grenades more effective with a faster recharge (it's like 5 minutes), could you make the soldiers inside the 88 bunker more resilient (you can strafe them right out of the bunker).

    You could have 2 supply trucks for the british, one for american weapons and one for commonwealth weapons. American truck would hold: Thompson, Bazooka, Greasgun, Bar, .30 cal, and recoiless rifle (It would be cool if you could add the flame thrower). The commonwealth truck would hold: Boyes AT Rifle, Bren Gun, Piat, their .30 cal, Thompson, and, if possible, Flame Thrower.

    Also, you should add the G43 rifle (The PE one, not the sniper one) as a drop-able weapon for the Panzer Elite supply half-track.

    Also, would it be a bad idea to have sniper rifles drop-able weapons for the trucks? For example: PE & Wehrmacht would have G43 snipers, America would have Springfield, and the British would have their scoped Lee Enfield sniper rifle thing.

    The only new stuff I am going to release are:
    - a better AI
    - ToV compatibility (ToV units are available and playable campaign)
    - M3 Grease Gun to the supply truck
    - Boyes AT rifle
    - more veterancy levels
    - ...

    The two first one already take a lot of time so, I don't think I can do much more.

    Also have you thought of increasing tanks fire range and damage vsing other tanks, since it feels like tanks battles last to long.

    hey ab2531 to be honnest i couldnt care less about the skins ect but what you did with nhc of was amazing and tbh the best thing to do is to make it compatable.
    as i said youve done great work and no doubt will do more but i realy miss my sas squad hope you finish soon.
    PS, the grease gun would be pointless on a supply truck unless you make a second gun and change the stats for that dropable gun because anybody would pick bar or thompson otherwise.

    The good thing with the grease gun is that it comes in pack of 4 and don't cost a lot.

    I'm sorry to hear you're so swamped ab2531 and I wish you could put in my ideas but I guess the TOV work would be pretty time consuming. I'd also like to volunteer my help if you want it. Thanks for the great mod!

    P.S. You'd have to teach me to help but I'd definitely be able to help if you showed me what to do.

    One of my favorite things to do is make a medic, use the supply truck to spawn a gun, and equip the medic with a weapon. When British and I do this, I call him "The Canadian Combat Medic".

    I don't know. I have just waste all day my trying to add a JU-85 "Stuka" dive-bomber. It flights well, but it always miss its target!

    Question: How should I rename my mod? NHCmod is just the name I use to all my mods (Dawn of War, dune, red alert, red alert 2... all my private mod I have never released). This name does not says anything about itself so people are shy to try it. Do you have any ideas? I would have propose "Heroes mod" but I think this name is already taken.

    Wow you made mods for the command and conquer series? I can only imagine how good they must be after playing the nhc mod for coh!

    as for a new mod name, this may sound like a ripoff , but maybe Band of Heroes ?

    for advice about that ju 87 (yes its ju 87 , not 85) maybe ask celestial , since he made that 'drachen' helicopter contraption work for his back to basics mod.

    with this new relic 2.601 update 'hotfix' coming out soon, sounds like you might have to make the mod 2.601 compatible now. I just hope youll release the new version before the end of the year , were all anxiously awaiting the new version. Keep up the good work!

    Not to play the devils' advocate, but do you think changing the name would help out? While some mod-names 'Realism Mod' for example, make sense, I dont know if calling it 'band of heroes' or anything else like that would make it more popular than NHC. I'm not trying to bash anyone, but perhaps if we could find a name that helps describe the mod it'd be more helpful. (Like the Eastern Front mod's name)

    Just curious, what does NHC stand for?

    NHC are just the initials of my real name. For me, NHCmod does just mean My mod. I can't find a name that can describe my mod. It is not particularly realistic, or anything else it was just made for fun.

    I concur with what you're saying. Hence, I feel that there is no need for a name change. If we cant describe it, why change it? I doubt changing it to a generic name will make people more interested in the mod. In fact, you'd also 'lose' people who've played older or other versions of NHC who are looking for it. So I suggest to not change it.

    Of course in the end its yours, not my opinion that counts...

    Now knowing that, I agree with reven, the name NHC mod is what gives your mod that unique taste of personality , the name itself stands out above the rest of most other mods. I would suggest you stick with NHC/

    Think of it as sort of like a brand name for a product , once you buy/ try out a product with a specific brand name , and you like it , youll probably reccomend it to others, come back and buy more of it.

    I tend to agree. Whether we like it or not, NHC has been a kind of brand name for the mod. I wouldn't know what else to call it if not that.

    Hummel/Nashorn

    A really like how you have put every artillery piece in one doctrine and every AA unit in another for the PE.
    It really makes it kind of realistic. What kind of support
    can I get from the Oberkommando. I can't get both.

    One question. Is there somekind of Hummel/Nashorn
    confusion? In one game I had to try half a dozen times
    to get my Hummel to bombard. The enemy was crossing
    the inner no fire circle before finally it decided to be
    humming Bumble Bee after all.

    I have good news, bad news and very bad news:

    bad news: I am still pretty busy right working for my "mémoire" for my Master's degree in physics.
    good news: El_Coyoto will try to continue the mod.
    bad news: my internet connexion is slower than a 56k
    good news: I have finished my mod for Cossacks 2 (I was spending most of my time on it) I can now return on CoH... that's what I thought...

    VERY bad news: my Dell computer died and all my games and mods with it
    good news: I had a backup of my mods on my external hard disk.
    bad news: It is more than one month old. So it contains only scraps of the NHCToV
    good news: I have another computer
    bad news: it is a Macbook, CoH and Corsix won't run on it.
    good news: there are still other pretty good mod on this forum that you can try while mine is down.

    It won't solve everything. Since all the data of the mod were in the dead pc I would only be able to reinstall the original game.

    Ok guys features of NHCToV v1.0:

    - Compatibility with ToV v2.601
    - New Icons... you'll see
    - Pack of 4 M3 Grease Gun to allies

    I think it will be released in 1 or 2 weeks...
    Until June I will continue the mod alone, ab2531 is really busy.. Don't forget to post bugs, exploit and mistakes, I'm here to fix them...

    Cool, the main reson I havent bougth ToV is because of your mod. I've been modding you mod for quite some time now, to a point it's a new experiance. (Modded the PE so much I confused the AI, doh). Anyway looking forward to is, and remodding my changes back into it.

    I have been away from CoH for a while, hoping I would see some life in this mod I checked the forums and oh boy, is it true it's almost ready fo ToV? I've been playing DDO and SC2 to pass the time but nothing beats good old axis vs allies! Keep up the good work and hints of release!
