A friend of mine is having issues of 'Run Time Errors' with this game. Without fail, every game we try to play together he has this error.
Is there anything that can be done to fix this?

Hmm, I never had this before. Try not to play on ultra textures, that might give the crash if you do.
A new version will come very soon, and that one doesn't have any problems at all afaik.
Let me start by saying I love what you've done in this mod and that I can hardly wait for a new version.
The only problem I'm running into is when I use 7zip to extract the archive. I get an error saying that the "tex_cw_piper_spc.rgt" file is broken. I think it's the specular texture for the Scottish Infantry because they show up rather pinkish if I'm using a relatively high shader.

Yeah, just ignore that error. Something must have been messed up when archiving/uploading.
got that error, too. downloaded yesterday and extracted.

Not yet, haven't got time to do any modding or coding html lately.
celestial, pls fix the american mortar team.
i use you mod for campaign, and everytime i make a team, the purple missing box appears and the game crashes.

Yea final exams for havo (Monkey Soldier will know what that is) as well, but also some trouble at home, no further details about that at the moment.
does the mod work with the improved ai mod?
Does this mod work with the single player campaign -> Can i play thru the campaign of reg+ OF and get the altered dmg value benefits and such?

@soul0reaper: I doubt it, since the Improved AI mod has edited sbps/ebps/abilities files, which will be in conflict with the mod. v1.11 will have a new AI on it's own made by AGameAnx.
@methodicaltruth: Yes you can.

Although I cannot mod for a while, I did update the first post since it was horribly outdated, enjoy.
Also, some previews for v1.11, which include the KKC, BIA, PWS and TTT.
New Building: Kampfkraft Center
Yes, we re-added the Kampfkraft Center, but it doesn't do the same at all, since veterancy is achieved in combat.
It can research a whole bunch of upgrades, which are not revealed yet.
Better Improved AI
Hehe, the AI. Failing a lot lately and barely did use the stuff we wanted it to use. Sure it did use a lot already but now it uses even more!
Perfectionized Weapon System
Finaly we did it, OK not perfect yet but we really love it at the moment. We will keep balancing things when we find bugs, under- or overpowered stuff.
The Tech Tree's
Here they are as they currently are. The British Canadian Infantry are missing, since I modified their build icon to a Tommy icon with a white maple leaf, and the Kampfkraft Center is also missing at the Wehrmacht's tree.

Are all those new buildings/units/trees gonna be available in the Single player/campaign?
Maybe add some random cool powers to the random units throughout the game (like a sprint or something)
awesome modI do play it on normal though.. cause pwning in campaign is how it should be. Setting up a perimiter.. mines in middle.. mg42s on side.. mortar in back.. Anti tank in trenches... they never know whats coming until its too late..

so don't expect a quick answer,I don't know why that happens to you,have you tried playing again the Carentan mission,maybe a more detailed crash can help u solve the problem,for example,when creating a unit or maybe in the middle of a cutscene,that's all I can say my friend,sorry if I can help you further but I don't have trouble with this mod![]()

Im just looking to play thru the campaign with alterened weapon damage/units.. turns out blitz has some crashes in non american campaign.. I wonder what other mods alter the campaign like this one does...

Why was it awesome? I stopped after the first crash.. What was the difference in damage/units from Bk to B2Basics?
like i know in BK the soldiers could sprint.
edit: Far as I can tell, making the mortar guys in caretan caused the errors. - A yellow box appeared was like "panic time" or something lol
So ghey that the snipers can't have direct control in this mod.. you can destroy many humans with it!
Any other mods besides this one and BK.. work with the campaign?

It is nice in the ToV campaigns, but not for a normal unit in the other campaigns or skirmishes.

haha i know.. Like one sniper.. can Ravage like 40 enemies. And ur doing the clicking.. so much fun and so much pwnage. Why send in your troops first? When one sniper can take everything out that doesnt have wheels (unless a enemy soldier is pushing the wheels.. then he gets headshotted).![]()
I've downloaded this mod but when i exctract with win rar open an error message and say me: C:\Users\Matly\Downloads\Back to Basics Battle of the Hedges v1.10.rar: CRC failed in Improved\Data\art\models\races\commonwealth\soldiers\shared_textures\tex_cw_piper_spc.rgt. The file is corrupt
I've re-try to download but nothing changes.
First, try not extracting it, just highlighting the files and dragging them to the desktop.. and then going from desktop to the coh folder.
but to be perfectly honest, I distinctly remember having the same error, which I forwent. (Forget about it)... just find the "back to the basics" launch thingy. (Its still there). And launch the game.
After the mortar incident in carentan, the mod has been working great. Though once i unlocked artillery drops in commander tree and couldnt use it.
But that was compansated for the pleasure that was derived from unlocking the instant deployment camo tank killer (I forget what it was called).. I had like 7 of those bad boys rollin in.. not taking prisoners. It was executioner.
edit: Imho, after trying a bunch of the mods we have here in the weapons range.. this mod works the best with the campaign (which is all i play).

Since it is a realism mod could you maybe make it so the boddies stay? This is a feature in some mods like the NHCmod...and contrary to popular belief, it does not make the game run slow. Would be cool![]()

This mod features different/realistc damages and are gona be improved for v 1.11...it's not because the damge system,is has nothing to do with this,in that case people really dies faster(evven more vs MG)but just not much
if @Celéstial includes this on the mod it can be more laggy for slow system people or may also cause other bugs,sometimes when killed the soldiers body will stay like flying,with it's arms extended in "Cross" form or "T" form,besides it IS relaistic and honestly looks awesome as I wrote is only for eye candy since it may cause some issues![]()
