I bought OF and I did "Add product" and put in serial and now I have OF armies in multiplayer. But when I try to play the OF campaigns then it says "You do not have the neccessary data installed to play this campaign. Please ensure that the appropriate data is installed".
What can I do? I don't know, it never asks for disk and when I put OF disk in, still doesn't work. Help.
This sound’s like a problem for technical assistance try posting there.
But any way I had a similar thing happen to me when I first got my OF copy to fix it I just uninstalled and installed straight from the OF CD. But this solution will be a pain in the ass if you don’t have all the patches and even then its still a pain.

Did u run the install from the OF disc? Is that necessary or can u simply add the product as mentioned? I did both, and I can play both campaigns and MP. Never had much trouble with vCoH or OF when it comes to tech issues.
I installed from vCOH cd because I bought vCOH 3 months before i bought OF.
If I do a fresh install of OF will I be able to play Normandy campaign?
Is there no way to install the campaigns from disk?
vCoH doesn't have the OF campaign data, run the OF disk and it *might* just install the campaign data, otherwise I think you'll have to reinstall CoH with the OF disk. Then you will have the OF campaigns.
And yes you will be able to play the Normandy campaign, the OF disk contains all vCoH data.

You must uninstall coh and ONLY install OF, or else it will ju uninstall vanilla and that is just a waste of time

No, I dont think Nemor is right. After I bought OF I had the same problem.
In order to play the campaign, I just installed OF without uninstalling anything. I did not loose anything, including where I left off in the Normandy campaign.
You do have to actually install it, otherwise you can only play online with OF.

If all you do is enter the CD key, you'll be missing the campaigns as well as unit voices for OF armies. You need to actually install OF if you expect to have proper access to its content.
As for the order, it doesn't matter. The OF disc contains all original CoH data, and as far as I know during installation uninstalls/overwrites any prior original CoH installation.

Elanzer has it right. The patched version of vCoH does not have all of the OF files, you need to install from the OF disk.
Unfortunately, if you have added your OF key to your vCoH install, you won't get the option to install when you put your OF disk in the drive. The best thing you can do is to uninstall CoH completely, then install from your OF disk ONLY and patch up to the latest version. Once you have done that you can go to the Add Product menu and add your vCoH key to unlock all of the content.

well, it says in the begining of the instalation that you must uninstall vanilla if you have it installed AFAIK atleast!

He's already added the key to his account, so yeah he just needs to re-install and repatch.
Ah, yes. I was eager to add product key and I didn't put the CD inside.
So if i uninstall the game, do i need to patch with OF patches only right?

The patches you download will be both OF and CoH. There's no different patches.
