No Memory in module ntdll.dll - help

    Hey guys.

I just got around to reinstalling soul storm. When I get to inputting the Winter Assault cd key, my game crashes...
Soulstorm.exe caused a No Memory in module ntdll.dll at 001b:7c93bb8b.
    Error occurred at 10/13/2008 12:46:12.
    Soulstorm.exe, run by Simon.

So basically, when my game loads, the game asks for my keys irrespective of what I use, and the game crashes whenever I try skip or input the WA key. I've tried putting them directly into the reg, AND I've tried the race unlocker found here. All end in the same way.

Found that in my error/warning log. Can anyone make sense of it?

    Thanks
    -Simon

hmm, thats a new one on me - I did find this post that might help you though.

Failing that, lets see the warnings.log and a dxdiag please.

    DX Diag stuff

    Graphics details

I can send the larger (lol) version if this lacks the information needed.

    warning.log

I really hope this is sufficient :\ Thanks for the help; really is appreciated. If there is anything else I need to provide, please let me know.

Hmm, I guess you could start by updating windows to SP3 and see if that has any effect. You could also increase the amount of virtual memory Windows assigns.

Well, I doubt either on of them are causing an issue tbh. The game worked the first time I installed it with all the races etc, just after about 4 games it stoped working and kept crashing. After that, I uninstalled/reinstalled, and now, well, issue as above.

So yeah, doubt either will make a difference even if they improve my computer. I don't really want to mess/touch my computer to much since I wouldn't know how to fix it. I just want to make changes to get SS working again :\

Increasing your virtual memory can't hurt and SP3 is a Microsoft service pack, just go to Windows Update...again, it shouldn't do any harm.

If you are really paranoid just make sure any data you have is backed up, no matter what goes wrong it is always fixable with a Windows reinstall (which would also fix the SS issue, but I don't generally recommend OS reinstalls for game problems because its a cop out easy answer).

heh okay well Ill update to SP3, but that isn't going to solve my SS problem :\ It shouldn't be crashing if DC, WA, and Vanilla all work perfectly, as well as all my other games and SS for a few games until it started crashing. Any ideas?

I guess its possible your RAM has developed a fault (memtest86 can be used to test it) but I would expect random crashes rather than this specific crash at the same point every time if that were the case.
