The server going down isn't an open invitation for you all to start spamming the forum. We all get the point after the first few posts, it's down, it sucks and the chances of it being a patch release are about a million to one.
The most likely cause is some sort of a hiccup at Quazal.
Spammy posts will be deleted.

it wouldn't kill relic to post here and say why we cant buy a game we have paid for. this doesn't happen when I buy a flipping DVD.

See this is the problem with gaming companies and their damn validation process. If this company goes belly up, what then? What happens to my game, what happens to the money that we spend on this game?

This is exactly why I don't use DRM on my games.
servers cant be online all the time, sometimes they crash and sometimes there is maintenance. It is to be expected and i'm not sure why you think complaining will change anything
This is 2008, we dont buy games. We rent them until the company decides to go bust or to stop support. Just like MSN Music.
Also, piracy isnt killing gaming companies, buggy software is.
sit back relax and patiently wait for the server to be up again.
Complaining here won't bring the server up

If the Relic Online servers are down you can still play the game in offline mode by validating your disc.
Unless you bought it on steam. In which case you're fucked.

Sure ya can play SP and skirmishes, but not online, that’s what my edit post points at. Now the game doesn’t need to be validated by a database unless I play online.

I wonder if it has to do with all these MS patches that just came out. I'd be somewhat amazed if it was a bunch of Windows servers that provided us this excellent online gaming experience.
The problem have bin going on for 2 days now (for me atleast)
Sometimes im unable to log into my account and at rare occations im able to log in but it says im having connection problems at the orange dot in the top right cornor, and ain't able to retrieve server list.
Ive never experienced such problem with CoH before the 16. oct but it just seems everyone but me are able to connect once again.
Server down again today? Im having trouble to log in.
It would be nice to actually hear a answear on whats going on at least from relic...
Log.. Day 4: Im still having trouble with the connection to relic online but there have shown improvements! now i at least have time to join a game and get a easy victory since everyone drops before we even enter the game *sick* and then it once again shows i have connection problems to relic online..
You guys have been having problems for days now??? I was playing until 400 last night.
I can play online, but the bug which everyone stops playing has happening alot more than usaul, also the bug where everything freeezes until a certain player drops is happening more often.
About 1/4 of my games are buggy, but at least I can get on.
But however, on my laptop I can not connect to relic online at all.
is it just me or is it happening again?

A server is down and needs to be rebooted. Hopefully that is all and we'll be back up and running shortly.
aw damnit i just got my first american win and was disconnected to the server mid game
o, good to know it's not just me, i freaked out a while when i saw that red light and wondered what happened to my internet connection for a bit until i c myself still online on msn and steam...
