can i join the game ?
lets play now
I'm going out to visit my brother at west point, so maybe another time :P
So whats new/fixed/changed in the halloween beta.
Make me want to download it.
I made it work well, got rid of maps that were unnecessary, added some abilities, and fixed some bugs. I also made it have a self installer
Hey burton can you plz tell me how does this mod works, the gameplay its like the Xmas release or it's different?
Ok, if i must. It's a coh interpretation of call of duty's nazi zombies. Each player gets 4 hero units that he can control and needs to get rid of the zombies.
Nooo, i was specting a new release of the zombie mod but in a RTS mode, it there a simple way to get the IA of this release into Xmas ver?
The only reason we arent doing releases that relate to the full release is because then we let out our models and skins and coding to free public use, something that we dont want (i.e. taking the humvee and making a modern mod).
I got an inspiration from your foggy cave, so I made one cave quickly and created NIS animation for it. This video is captured from ingame, there is no video editing, everything is done via Scar or NIS. Enjoy:
HD 1080p or 720p is recommended!
Nice! Any reason they caught on fire randomly? lol
lol reminds me that we gotta look into flaming zombies...
Hmmm, I did show you some quiet a while back (prob over 12mnths ago) in some of the scripted stuff, but the difficulty was more about how to use it ingame. Although being a game and not totally realistic, it didnt make alot of sense to have them continuosly burn, (as I created a looping script to keep them burning for that purpose) as one would imagine the burning would lead to death at some point and thus making it short in its usefulness. Thats why I went moreso down the path of having scripted areas where if fuel barrels or any custom stuff where exploded, the zombies in close proximity would catch on fire creating more of a cinematic feature rather than flame zombies persay. But I'm open for any suggestions either way
Yeah I remember now. Thanks for reminding me![]()
@burtondrummerNY
Yea, they were meant to flame
Code:Cmd_CriticalHit(player2, sg_zombie_attackers3, CRIT.BURN_DEATH_OOC, CRIT.DAMAGE_GREEN)
Great news! I can export models now! WOO

MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM THE ZOMBIEMOD TEAM!
2010 has been a great year for our team! With new models being put in, skins being made, abilities being coded, it started to seem like we were competing with Santa's little helpers!
However, I think we can all agree that there's been a little lack of updates recently concerning the status of the mod! So, we'd like to give you some presents this Christmas...gifts of the Army sort. Get ready to rip open some wrapping paper and take a look at what we got you!
The "Protectors of the Homeland" Tree (formerly known as the National Guard tree) is one of 3 support doctrines available to the Survivor commander. It focuses on superior firepower and training to cut down the undead horde. Let's start, shall we?
The first unlock on the left side of the tree is called "Guardsmen." By purchasing this upgrade, you are entitled to 2 squads of National Guard infantry on the battlefield at a time. The National Guard section consists of 5 men - 3 Automatic Riflemen, 1 Support gunner, and a grenadier. They are versatile in attack and defense, and can usually take care of any threat.
Motivation is critical to victory, and that's why we included the next unlock on the left - "Old Glory." This upgrade allows you to construct 1 Officer section consisting of an Officer, a Flag bearer, and a couple of honor guards. Their job is to motivate surrounding infantry, not so much combat. Thanks to the Eastern Front mod for the Flag model.
Lastly, on the left hand side, we decided that having a long range unit would be beneficial to the Survivor player. So, we gave them the Marksman Team. The Sniper and Spotter can accurately eliminate targets at an extremely long range. When locked down, the spotter switches to binoculars in order to spot targets from a further range.
(Clever readers will note that this image has been flipped horizontally - he is not a lefty shooter)
Now, onto the right side! The first unlock is aimed at achieving more mobility and firepower with your units. Mechanized Infantry are fast, tough, and ready to fight. When they are in range of their Humvee, they receive defensive bonuses. You can have 2 squads of Mechanized Infantry on the field at a time.
(The HMMWV shown here has been updated since)
Next on the list is for those of you who still need to get your men somewhere faster than that. FRIES, or Fast Rope Insertion Extraction System has revolutionized combat to make it more fast-paced and somewhat safer for infantry. Airborne Infantry can be deployed via the UH-60 Blackhawk when you purchase the upgrade "Rapid Insertion." Again, a limit of 2 squads are allowed on the field.
(At this time, I apologize, but we have not finished the fast-roping animation)
Lastly, we felt that if you got this far on the command tree, you seriously needed more firepower. After much discussion, we reintroduced the HMMWV - this time, it's loaded with an M2 .50 Caliber Machine Gun, ready to tear the undead to shreds. Sorry, no nice fancy picture here.
That's the Protectors of the Homeland tree in a nutshell!
You'll also notice that we've uploaded an update to the Nazi Zombies (Halloween) minimod. Feel free to download it and enjoy, it contains some changes to improve playability, and we added a coded map to add a little excitement!
Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year!
Wow,thats really awesome !!!

Happy New Year everyone!
Hi! So, yeah, this guy. So I wanted to throw this out there, because I felt bad.
I got halfway through that map, and then I stopped. Because I suck at mapping. I just can't even admit I made that pile of... meh. Damn, who would've thought it would take so long, so much damn perserverence? Apparently yall, spent so long on this mod. I can't match that. So I know you weren't depending on me (I hope) but I felt as though I should confess on it. I hate to flake out on anything, especially when I want to eat the bread you're all baking, but... shit. I am flaking out.
wait, clarification. I flaked out like a month ago, when I got realllly bored and couldn't do it anymore. I just got around to checking back in this motel today, figured I'd leave a note.
Hey all!
We have a special treat for everyone today. Our modeler, Aidas, has been working on some models that we felt were not the best the first time around. So, without further ado, I present a content update.
First up is the HMMWV. Our model was good from the start, but it was lacking. So, Aidas set out to make the M1151 HMMWV, complete with up-armored turret! This will be used for transporting mechanized infantry squads, as well as providing fire support with the M2 .50 Caliber MG.
Next we have some weapons to show off.
G36
M4
Civilian M4
M4 with M203 Grenade Launcher
M16
M16 with M203 Grenade Launcher
M240b with Ammo Bag
C7a2
All models by Aidas2
That's all we have for now, check in soon to see where some of these weapons get to be used ingame, as well as the textured models.

All of the models are 100% EPIC, dude. I'm loving the HMMV, much better than before.
Me too lol, so much better. Thanks for the compliments
Yeah, Hummer is looking excellent. Can't wait to see it skinned.
Shouldn't the "civilian" M4 have a longer-length barrel than the military version?

Do you mean the m16? Civilian m4 is the same as military m4 without the rails and grips.
great models !!! i love them much !!! will try to get the m4/m16's skins done soon !
Good to see ya chopin! Take your time with the skins, whenever you're ready is good by me.

Indeed, the HMMWV model is awesome! Hopefully when it's animated it'll be setup so that it can mount more weapons than just the M2HB .50cal, perhaps it could start with a M240B, and be upgraded to either a M2HB or Mk19 AGL?
I think the Civillian M4 model's barrel should be longer than the Military M4, from memory the military M4 has a 14.5 inch barrel, but in the US aren't civillians limited to no shorter than a 16 inch barrel? Perhaps adjust the model to have a longer barrel, and since the effects of the Assault Rifle ban are still around, remove the Bayonet lug. Most civillian AR15s also aren't equipped with the carry handle and fixed itron sights, so maybe they could be replaced with a rifle scope and remove the iron sights completely. Perhaps it could be referred to ingame as an AR15 instead of M4, M4 is a military designation and most versions produced for the civillian market don't comply with the military specifications.
Since much of the equipment modelled is more modern equipment, perhaps instead of a M4 with the RIS handgrip, Aidas could model the SOPMOD M4a1 with an optical sight (EOTech holo sight?) instead of the carry handle (but keep the carry handle on the M203 variant), and likewise on the M16a4 model, replace the carry handle with and optical sight (ACOG?) on the standard rifle variant (keep the M16a4 M203 model with the carry handle).
If you have time later, maybe you could also add some more rifles for the civillians for some variation? FN FALs and Steyr AUGs are popular, and the Steyr AUG is in service with the US Coast Guard, which i think would probably find their way on land in case of a zombie apocalypse.
Of course, these are only suggestions for some more variety or for better accuracy. We all know games need to be taken with a few grains of salt, and the same can be said for mods too.

1. For the Hmmwv we're thinking of having the M2Hb and m240, but still not decided if an upgrade or random at spawn.
2. I didn't look much into the civilian m4, just changed the handguard to the simple round one. And it needs some fixing so it will change a little in the future.
3. And we decided to keep the weapons simple, no fancy upgrades or anything. And both M4's are already textured. Maybe in the future will add more variants to have some variety, but for starters it will be good. And there's the Canadian C7a2 with the Elcan sight and with a retractable stock to distinguish from the Us M4's.
4. We already have Fn Fal ingame long time ago, browse the Moddb gallery unti lyou see renders and ingame, I might remake it with most of the civi weapons when we finish this doctrine models. Don't know about the Aug.
This looks great!! Glad to see its finishedI will be trying it out after I get the patches sorted out

Linux For The Win !
Wait, it's finished? Why wasn't I informed...
I should have explained a bit better, a "release of the mod", a "beta" so to speak, an early stage of a large project.![]()
Today's my birthday, so I thought it would be nice to share a bit about the Survivor Squad.
(I recommend you read the text)
Today I would like to share a little bit about the Survivor squad, perhaps the most important squad of the whole mod. The Survivor squad is the starting unit for the Survivor faction, as well as their standard infantry. Their are versatile in both offensive and defensive endeavors, but do not excel at either. They can be upgraded one of two ways: Raider Team training and First Aid training. If they choose to be trained as a Raider Team, they are rearmed with 2 new sawed off shotguns and an SMG. They gain the ability to salvage resources from vehicle wrecks scattered throughout the map as well. If you train them to excel at first aid, they gain a medic and some rifles.
That pretty much sums up the survivor squad for now. Keep tuned in for more information!
The ZM Team
The Veteran could get rid of those pouches and we will most likely change the Scar to the new M4's. The Biker reminds me of Chuck Norris and Francis from Left 4 Dead![]()

Awesome concept dude. I'd love to try it out with you.
Thanks Celest, I'm sure we'll have a chance to play around with ZM sometime.
Greetings fans!
It's my pleasure to present some follow up items (and new ones) in this month's update.
First, let me reintroduce perhaps one of the greatest artists that I've had the pleasure to work with.
Chopin, our 3d texture artist, may be familiar from other mods such as Modern Combat. I don't think we've really introduced him here, so it is my pleasure to introduce him to you guys today.
The majority of textures you've seen, minus infantry skins, have been done by Chopin. And he's not showing any signs of stopping.
This month, we are proud to present the textures he has created for the weapons we showcased last month, and the humvee (also from last month). Aidas2 and Chopin seem to be a dream team when it comes to making models!
So with that, enjoy the pictures, and we hope to have something really exciting for you for next month's update. BE SURE TO CHECK OUR MODDB PAGE FOR MORE PICTURES!!!!

Yea, I've seen those HMMV's and they look so frekkin' amazing! Great work from all of you.
thanks celetial =).
@BDNY, i just think those guns need normal/specular maps . (i'll make for them if needed)
and the guns ingame look a bit strange IMHO ,maybe its the problem with the smoothing on the models ?

If you have time please do. I to think that they will make them look much better. The sizing is spot on. And the Green hummve has been darkened, pretty much like the one in woodland camo, just plain green, with no black spots.
