    sometimes(or many times) i start with this fantastic mod,

    this problem occured..i really don't know reason..this mess me up.. userinterface is gone..terrain is crashed..

    anyone know about this?

    I have a problem, since I upgraded to 1.601 the new COH patch, I can't play BK mod. Anyone can help me? Advice or tips?

    The game starts, and I can get to the main menu... but all the "online" commands like initiating a multiplayer game or even a skirmish crash the game. Never had problems before with BK, and absolutly love this mod since the days of BOTB. It was only when I patched to the new COH upgrade that things start to get messy.

    The game crashes always when I try to host a game, and I can't even join others because Relic says tht my mod version is different. I'm with COH anthology upgraded to 2601 and BK last version.

    @ Recovery discussion

    I never liked the 'Resurrection' the Bergetiger had in Vanilla. Like someone said, the battle damage would be too extensive. They likely only hauled off the wrecks to salve metal and munitions, sort of whats in the game now.

    I would like to see the Bergetigers Salvage ability perhaps restore fuel as well as munitions tough, if that's possible.

    UPDATE

    BK COH only crashes when I try to host a game, I can play skirmish and others... but can't play online. Already uninstalled all and install everything again with the same issue...and my BK shortcut doesn't even show the BK icon when I install the mod.

    Changes/ Bugfixes:
    - PE HQ-Grenadiers (Builder Grenadiers) now have a different skin with "Erbsentarn" (= peadot camouflage)
    - PE vehicles now have visible crews and drivers again
    - wrong requirement tooltip of US Mortar HT fixed
    - PE AT-Grenadiers of FHQ now also get the additional Panzerschreck after the ability was avtivated in the command-tree
    - Stosstruppen-taktics reworked:
    There is no Kettenfahrzeug Call-In anymore. Instead there is a upgrade that allows the regular buildable Kettenfahrzeug to request/build the Stosstruppen. Also Stosstruppen can be called-in from the border of the map as alternative.
    - Stosstruppen now have different icons and portrait pictures



    - Stosstruppen now have a different retreat-arrow for the retreat back to the Feldwebel (similar to the Airborne rertreat arrow)
    - New vehicle: SdKfz 250/9 with 20 mm KwK, buildable for WM Blitzkrieg Doctrine. The 250/9 has a supression-ability.
    - US Supplies Paradrop now has a shared timer
    - Description error of US Airborne Doctrine fixed
    - Commandos now have a green retreat arrow for the retreat back to the Glider (similar to the green retreat arrows or US Airbornes and Stosstruppen)
    - AT-Grenadiers of PE AT doctrine can be found in the Kampfgruppenkompanie again
    - AT-Grenadiers of PE AT doctrine get +1 Panzerschreck again after the upgrade was bought
    - 60 mm US Mortar grenades now have the correct detonation again
    - New version of the 6P Map "Battle of Halbe"

    Already known bug in v1.603:

    - WM Blitzkrieg Doctrine SdKfz 250/9 has a pink texture when destryoed. This was already fixed in the internal Beta, someone just forgot to send the fixed file to our Installer-guru so it's back in again.

    Xali reported a strange problem to me earlier today in v1.603. For him the Hummel grenades had no explosion sounds at impact. They worked fine before, IIRC with CoH v2.601 and BK v1.602. Anyone else receives that bug?

    @Shadow, I don't know if it was intentional, but the Panther Ausf. G, with its awesome skin, free Schürzen and sight range upgrade, is now replaced by a regular Panther when choosing the PE TH doctrine. I sort of… miss it

    With 1.603 do I need the 1.602 patch or can I just download the lastest patch? I know its a noob question but my internet went down when 1.602 came out so I couldn't download it.

    Only the latest Patch is needed to stay up-to-date. The latest one also contains all changes from previous updates (v1.6.0.3 also includes everything from v1.6.0.2 and v1.6.0.1). Just make sure you have the latest FULL version (v1.60) installed, updating from previous ones (f.e. v1.50) doesn't work.

    @Dr Evil: Due to the doctrine update of the PE Panzerjaegers (Tank Hunters) the G version call-in was removed. But you can build regular Panthers that are upgradeable with sideskirts and a smoke launcher. Pretty useful and not limited to just one. But I also miss the G one, it looked awesome.

    play this reglarly with friends vs the AI. Very nice.
    As always with PC games the bang for the buck with mods makes ur money go miles

    Could the hummel have an 88mm with suppressor on the end.
    Nashorn have always looked great. But it really looks like a tank destroyer once its got the long calibre added.
    The current armament looks like a shotgun......

    1.603 bugs...

    Missing volksgrenadiers icon in the queue. See pic. The second squad is also a volks...


    Also, the SdKfz 250/9 has really poor damage against infantry... Even Pioneers can kill infantry better. I almost got killed against an engineer and rifle squad whereas I only killed 3 engies before I had to get out of there. I'm kinda expecting it to be more like the PE armored car or at least slightly less deadly, but not like this...

    Oh, and the VPs are still bugged, whereas
    250 VP = 600 VP
    500 VP = 1000 VP
    1000 VP = Might as well play annihilation

    Is it possible to have a 750 VP game?

    I really hope there's a hotfix for these minor bugs... Got me another major LAN party tomorrow...

    mind you the mg seems to hit the ground alot instead of the enemy.

    Strange, I faced the almost same thing (1 engineer, 1 riflemen) but the results were completely opposite. I even faced them on open ground, the rifle squad did have a grease gun but still...

    @Althalus: The pink wreck will be fixed with the next patch. It was already fixed before for the internal Beta, but we forgot to give the updated file to the creator of the installer, so in the public Beta it is still there.

    Have you also tested the Hummels regular grenades if they play an explosion sound on impact? If they do too it would be very strange, then Xali would be the only one with this problem.

    @Destraex: The Nashorn is already included in the Mod, although it uses the Model of the Hummel with a different skin. There is currently no Model for the 88 mm Nashorn so this is the only way to go right now. We'll include the correct model if once we get one.

    @r.rishad.ali: See it positive, instead of having to download and install a bunch of fixes all the time to be up-to-date (like for vanilla CoH...) you only need the latest one. Anothe way to do it would be a zillion little patches and if you forgot one you'd have to reinstall BK again. We think the current method has more pros then cons and it certainly is a lot easier for everyone to keep their BK up-to-date without having to worry if they might screw their instalaltion with a missed patch.

    Regarding the 250/9: I just tested it once but it seemed that it isn't as good as the SdKfz 222 of the PE. Mine didn't hit shit and was nearly killed by 2x Engies and 1x Rifles while killing only 3 of them in 30 seconds. But before everyone (including me) yells "Buuuuufff!!", let's just see if it was just a rare situation.

    Still having the same problem! Anyone? COH 2601 and lastest BK mod... can't play online and when trying to host a game the game crashes.
    How can I delete all things related to BK in my computer, so I can really fresh install without feeling in the same problems again, because COH vannila works like charms it's a BK problem.

    Only for folks who have performance-issues with the HD textures

    @original_joao: Check your warnings.log or wanrings1.log located in "C:\Documents and Settings\My Documents\My Games\Company of Heroes\", the problem usually can be found at the bottom lines of the log.

    You can remove BK via the Windows System Control --> Software menu. Or by clicking the red "X" symbol named "Blitzkrieg deinstallieren" in your Company of Heroes game folder. This will remove BK completly. After it'S removed there shouldn't be a "Blitzkrieg_SP" folder be left in your CoH folder and BK will be gone.

    Have you or ahd you other Mods installed that may have altered any CoH files? Often this is causing the problems/crashes.



    IMPORTANT HINT FOR THOSE WHO LIKE TO CLICK ON EVERYTHING RIGHT AWAY:

    This patch REMOVES the HD 2048 x 2048 textures and replaces them with the same textures, reduced to a size of 1024 x 1024. This should help the folks having performance-problems since the new HD textures had been included. If you don't have performance-issues with the HD textures do NOT install this patch as it will remove them!


    >>Download Texture pack (27.9 MB)

    Installation:

    - copy the file "normale_texturen.exe" in the Blitzkrieg_SP folder
    - double-click the file "normale_texturen.exe"
    - if you get asked if you want to overwrite existing files, click "YES"
    - done

    This patch is compatible with users who have the HD textures, so you'll still be able to play online with users that have HD textures installed.

    With the next FULL client everyone will be able to choose between high-quality and low-quality textures during installation of BK.

    Hmmm....Strange, I didn't encounter that problem mentioning the SdKfz 250/9 having a "pink" wreck when destroyed. I didn't see any pink wreck, just a normal one. Also, I've encountered another bug that was there in the previous versions: Invisible guns for the PE Assault Grenadiers and the Storm Troopers whenever you apply the Gewehr 43 package upgrade. Anyone seem to notice this? I think its already a known bug.

    I think you should avoid any obstacles or road bumps, because I've noticed that all tanks and vehicles seem to miss their targets. But when I moved them to an area where it is visible for them they directly hit their targets. Is this intentional? Or just another bug? But its a realistic one! The SdKfz 250/9 doesn't seem to be that strong. Buff it!!! I had it shooting on blobs of infantry and only get like 7 kills...WTF?

    @original_joao: The filepaths errors at the top of the log are normal. I'm just wondering about errors regarding Quazal (the CoH Servers are from Quazal) and the "FILESYSTEM -- filepath failure, missing alias '.sgb'" at the bottom. Maybe you have a connection problem to them? At least I don't have those kind of errors in any of my logs.

    Okay first off, I'd like to say how great this mod is. You all are very focused on semi-realism but keeping realism off if it's not fun, correct? Well I've played like 7 other mods besides this one and my favorites (excluding this one) all have realistic population. I think it makes sense when all Nazi tanks use 5 population rather than 30. I'm guessing this little feature helps keep balance in the game but if it's the same for both factions then shouldn't it still be balanced. Plus their are other ways to limit the amounts of tanks, and massive tank battles are fun anyways (as I'm sure the majority of us agree).
    Also I found that after installing the 1.6.3 (I'm pretty sure that's wrong) patch, after the 1.601 patch for Vanilla COH downloded the Knights Cross have no description I just get an error code (sorry if this has been said). Lastly I'd like to ask if you're goind to be adding the Elephant when it's done.

    Shadow I have update.
    Installed a fresh version of COH anthology in another Laptop and then your latest version of BK and guess what same problem.... So I guess its a BK issue afterall. I can't play online, host a game... i can only play skirmishs against the computer. On vanilla everything is OK. Any thoughts???
    Please don't leave this problem without a solution.

    @MaverRaven6: You are right, the high population is one way for balancing the units. But do your eally think it would be balanced if all tanks would have the same population ammount? For example a Jagdtiger for 5 population and also 5 for a Panzer IV? I doubt that this would work in BK without HEAVY adjustments to unit costs.

    olo1877: The invisible G43s are fixed in the internal v1.6.0.4 already. I forgot to check the Grenadier feets yet.

    Have you also tested the Hummels regular grenades if they play an explosion sound on impact? If they do too it would be very strange, then Xali would be the only one with this problem.
    Just then, in both lock down and normal mode, i tried both shell types, all had sound, so it must be something wrong with Xali's, unless it was just the map....

    Strange, I faced the almost same thing (1 engineer, 1 riflemen) but the results were completely opposite. I even faced them on open ground, the rifle squad did have a grease gun but still...
    Yeah i don't think the riflemen i faced were upgraded. Still it could be to do with the whole "random chance accuracy business"

    hi i have installed the v1.6.0.3 and the 2601 patch from relic, i'am using tov with the game, but after the updates the axis and PE AI in skirmish aren't building any building or tanks? the allies AI works perfect how can that be ?

    Thanks Althalus, the Sound bugs Xali had been facing only happened to him. He reinstalled and it's gone now.

    €dit: I experienced the same thing. My WM Ally only built a Barracks and then spammed Infantry. Looks like the changes from the latest CoH patch somehow messed the AI up. We'll have to take a look into it as soon as sweeten has some time of ur again.

    Quick Question on playing this mod in Skirmish. I have noticed that the AI doesn't progress its tech much even when they own 1/2 the map for a long time. I attack their base and they have just a barracks built and thats about it. Should I be using certain setup in Skirmish, is it a map thing, I think I haven't played any of the mod maps yet I have only tried the stock maps 1vs1.

    I dont know if its just me, but the Allies AI seem to be a bit weak compared to the Axis.

    I played a 4 v 4 as the Axis, and although they put up a good fight early on, it soon swung when the German Steel started rolling, there were a few instances of 3 or 4 shermans against a couple of panthers, but even there it was an instant lose.

    I played as the USA, then struggled against the enemy as my allies were overwhelmed by the tidal wave of armour against me.

    So just a question really...

    How are you suppose to win long range engagements as the allies?

    I found that the AT teams in trenches are pretty strong against armor. Problem is if you play against harder AI they will swarm you because of manpower bonus and such. That is the case with the vanilla game I have not looked at the code for this mod to see what the bonus are set at but I played against some harder AI and they owned me pretty bad :P

    If you get pwned by the AI too much, the solution is simple: reduce the difficulty.

    Me and a friend are having the same issue as original_joao. When either of us host a BK game it will inevitably crash for the person who hosted the game.

    With me it crashes and puts me back on my desktop and disables my internet connection!!?
    Ipconfig release/renew dosent work it says adapter disconnected!

    Restarting brought internet back once, but the last time I had to reset my DSL modem to get internet back again. Normal COH and BK skirmish both work without a hitch.

    When it kicks my friend he actually gets a crash log. We believe this started happening with the latest COH update.
