if you want to mod for DOW get 8. From what I know 9 doesnt mesh all that well with the DOW engine.

ive always used space marines for there great offensive skills, but if you keep showing them screenies i may convert. awsome work guys! those terminators are the most bad-ass ive seen so far, and terminators are my fav units. that dread is pretty damn kickass too! i havent seen units this awsome since deamonhunt. are all units going to be paintable? id love to see them in my standard black/red.

Yes, the mod is currently in beta testing stages. Most of the code-work is done, there's just some polishing to do and a fair bit of 3D work.

Several of the old team members have returned, including the one who did the building textures and the one who did animations, so that's a little rude and presumptuous to say the least.
In any case all of the models finished by the original team will be making it in-game, so we shall see.
Now, with regards to the completion of the mod most of the code work is done, we're justing ironing out the kinks. There's still a fair bit of 3D work to be done, but we're making good progress.

I'm hoping it's SS. DoWAI has rendered the AI problem on SS moot and I've been updating everything I have to SS so that I have all the stuff together. DC can be had for about 10 dollars just about anywhere. There's no excuse not to pick it up.

Yes, You're right! We Tau suck in close combat, it's such a shame you won't even get there...
shoulder pads on the Marines/Sorceror look a tad small compared to CSM/SM other than that, great job.
What the heck!? I totally paid full price for that! Close to $60 USD I paid for that on the day it came out. In fact, I even made the kid at Wal-Mart open the box and give me one! lolBlimey.. their practically giving it away

Just out of interest, will this mod contain a thousand sons campaign in it as the origonal mod intended too at its onset?
Don't get me wrong I would be happy with them playable in skirmish and paintable in army painter, since even the old mod eventually just had those goals in mind.
it would be amazing however if you guys managed to get the campaign section going again.
In any case I can't wait for this mod to come out. Thousand Sons are the best!

Well we're stretched already to get the Skirmish/MP component/piece done. I don't have any of the existing Prospero stages/structures which the original team had but I have all their screenshots of it in-tact (like thats useful at this stage.. grumble). As with many mod projects, some team members keep assets on their drives and most either disappear with em OR the drive dies thus losing all said materials. For now, we're all about getting Tzeentch into the Skirmish/MP. Campaign just isn't doable right now within our projected workflow expectations.

Depends.. we're in the 3rd beta stage but Mit is back with us so textures can move forward more quickly and in-sync with current assets. LoC, Ahriman, Dread, and buildings are being focused on.
