    For now I will play in Last stand mode, waiting for mod update.


    ps. Did anyone pass beyond wave 11? It very hard to survive !!

    I'm not sure what Koko means either, but in any case the apothecary is in the command squad & there's no need to change that.
    I'm having a look through some of the new files right now, with the chaos lord in termie armour, his sword should fit space marine termie armour as well.
    If so, then a termie sergeant could be added for the two drop pod termie squads & sword wargear for termie campaign leaders. The chaos lord's storm bolter doesn't actually do anything as it doesn't have a weapon file, it's just eye candy.
    Another possibilty would be to make a piece of chaos termie armour wargear for the FC, but to get the best looking armour the rare model would need to be used which incorporates the helmet as well.
    I'll look into the ogryn\psyker badge problem.

    @trintong -i ve seen lvl 16 - only three time (3 or 4 sm heros).
    There´s a lot of timing. lvl 12 is a surprise - 4 eldar walker included others.

    Jaylo, The head and shoulders ar missing on the Chaos Lords armor, BUUUT from what Unusual fashion has said, you can shange those out and make a Chaos Obliterator with an SM Termie Head, for example.

    I was thinking of doing that for a boss in my mod when I got derailed by the no head thing.

    EDIT nevermind you found the head... for some reason I canon for the life of me have a complete Chaos Lord

    Thats good news.
    Unfortunately it's mostly bad news.
    Even though the chaos lord is in termie armour, his arms are in the same position as power armour. So just like marine power swords, his sword hilt goes through the wrist of marine terminator armour.
    At least it's another texture to use for a power sword.

    Even more disappointing is the fact that the chaos lord is set up like the orks & not the space marines. Most of his armour is animated & textured on the base unit model, with only the helmet, shoulder guards & a few other bits done via armour wargear.
    So the whole armour couldn't be used as armour wargear as the recipient's ebp file would have to use the chaos lord's animator.

    So this Chaos lord is something Relic intend to left it in this patch to be eye candy for modder then.


    ps. clever isn't them? they know some modder will look in their files.

    well you can ALWAYS swap him out for a boss. Just change a few things, and whamoola you got a Chaos lord for a boss. Though I don't know if doing that changed the boss script.

    I am glad with this mod . Doesnt need "chaos", deamon goods and other stuff.
    Also it´s only a "appetizer" for the next Add On ( called selfstandingcontent).
    Hopefully they fixed the SM Terminators,whom looked unfinished.
    Moore fashion will get the new modell of Librarian.
    Until then...i play with Hangar-8´s bagdes^^.

    I finally installed 2.2, great improvements! Sadly, I failed to notice the mention of the Terminator Drop Pod, so I missed out on that fun. I must have been insane too because I finished the campaign in one sitting.

    It's designed to be stand alone, that way people can add it to the list of mods they run. A compartmentalised system of adding DOW2 mods allows people to mix and match the mods they want, without mods causing conflicts by doubling up content.

    That Command Squad champion armour is the most beautiful thing in the game. I made it into the best level 20 armour in the game.

    I will of course, allow all the original modders Aliblabla/Jaylo/Zetrial full access and usage to my stuff.

    Hangar 8's banners and badges are the best. By the way, a standard wargear icon in campaign uses his Blood Ravens banner. That is compliment from Relic

    I do not plan on having a command squad. That will remain an unique feature to this mod. A link to this thread will be automatically added to my readme and ucs file.

    there was only 1 librarian in the first game akios isador who was killed by Gabriel angleos because he turned to chaos (in the game he turned chaos in book he became power hungry) anyway inquisitor toth however is not a librarian hes something completely different

    this new guy seems to be based off the latest line of librarians

    I could add a new piece of armour wargear that points to edited textures of an existing armour, but it wouldn't be entirely fluffy as nearly all of the marine armours have the chapter badge set in the model on the left shoulder & this can't be changed until the models can be edited.
    So the right arm is the one that would have to be silver.

    Toying with names as you were looking at the chaos lord in an earlier post.

    Just thinking if you were going to add them in some way and if so...?

    That sort of thing.

    In my case I made an assault squad test dropped in the termie pod and found I had them taking down an entire tyranid horde in a defend mission almost by themselves.

    Fluff....Relic didnt make fluff...they follow the direction of fluff.....but makes decisions for the "not-known-wh40k-fluff-statements" gamers. (like me^^)
    I still wonder by thoose "double-shifted-shoulders", never sawn them before,but they are still in the game.
    Anyway, as you like plz go for it.Anything different new will be apriciated.
    (btw: the upcoming librarian wouldt looks nice to me,but gave moore modell options in rebuilding^^)

    Please, in next version, remove those idiotic Terminators from Dreadnought-Thule's squad. They're blocking my Charge ability, and Dreadnought (even Venerable) with companion of Terminators is COMPLETLY un-Fluffy...

    And a Blood Ravens' Company without a Librarian isn't? If Relic threw the fluff out the window, I think that we shouldn't stick to it so literally. As long as it isn't something that breaks the gameplay, like ressurrecting and teleporting the Emperor Himself right to the middle of the battlefield, I think that we shouldn't worry about being fluffy or not. If you want to complain about fluff, just look at the IG descending to the battlefield in drop pods, that's also unfluffy and guess what? It makes the game fun.

    KOKO how are you able to use the hangar 8 colours/badges with the campaign?

    Unless i remove the defaultchaptercolors and armypaintercolors then hangar 8's dont show up.

    You have to extract those files from hangar-8's mod and then add the squad mod's entries in the appropriate places to make them work properly.

    @ xLuna - i get a extracted version from Hangar_8 by pm-dl.
    You can do so too.
    Then i change the existing bagdes (from jaylo) with the one i wish . (rename the existing one to xxx.org, paste hangar_8 and rename it to the one it should appear. Then change the armypaintercolours) I did it in 3 cases. which means i get 3 different armypaintercolours.
    In this case i use a personal bagde & colours, given to me by the members help from http://wh40k.ei8ht.net/forums/index.php?topic=372.0

    Unfortunately the force commander tends to have the same problem, sometimes it's scenery that blocks him and the ability is wasted.

    hey i have downloaded the mod and i have played version 1.6 without any glitches but when i start up the campaign with the version 2.2 and 2.21, the company bearer with the commander has a black block for a head and the game crashes when i move the mouse cursor........i really wanna play this mod so kindly help me out guys please.....

    I really want to help and everybody here want to help too, we all think the same that is not good if someone miss such a great mod like this.


    So will you willing to try for a last time ? If yes, please follow. Read all this carefully step by step.


    First, Uninstall your Dow2 game and see if it have anything left in

    "X:\bla bla bla\Steam\SteamApps\common\dawn of war 2\" delete it all.


    Second, Now you will reinstall Dow2 for clean install.

    When finish, play Dow2 by let it finish patching to be lastest version.

    Setting option in game as your wish, maybe try make your chapter in army painter.


    Third, Close the game and close steam and restart your computer.
    (for some sure feeling that game is save and ready to mod.)


    Now, before going to next step please make sure about this checkpoint.....

    1. You find your own path to "bla bla bla\Steam\SteamApps\common\dawn of war 2\GameAssets"
    (path before "\down of war 2\GameAssets" may be not like what I have so you really need to find it on your own.)

    2. You download lastest mod version that come in zip file as "DoW2_squadmod2.2.rar"

    and in that zip file have "DoW2_squadmod2.2" folder that is contain subfolders and files as this list

    apoth_with_aura ---------------> add-on mod for make apothecary have healing aura again

    chap_kelem_helmet -------------> add-on mod for make chaplain use kelem helmet and 3 choice for weapon of chaplain terminator

    chaplain_helmets1.2 ------------> add-on mod for make chaplain use helmet

    chaplain_terminator_weapons ---> add-on mod for changing weapon of chaplain terminator

    Data --------------------------> contain all main mod files

    dev_pc ------------------------> add-on mod for make las cannon back to plasma cannon

    librarian_helmets ---------------> add-on mod for make librarian use helmet with 3 selectable choice

    Locale -------------------------> contain file to make game read mod files

    white_helmets -----------------> add-on mod for make most unit in squad have white helmets

    Readme_badges .txt -----------> badges list

    Readme_chaplain_helmets.txt

    Readme_kelem_chap_helmet.txt

    Readme_lascannon_to_plasma_cannon .txt

    Readme_librarian_helmets.txt

    Readme_main_mod.txt --------> also contain a way to make apothecary have healing aura

    Readme_new_icons.txt --------> way for those who not want new squad icon that base on Ultramarines chapter

    Readme_white_helmets.txt

    3. make shortcut of this game and make sure in Target: box it similar like this

    D:\Steam\steam.exe -applaunch 15620 -disable32bitcheck -dev
    (find your way to your steam.exe first, of course.)


    If there is something missing please tell us, then when all thing O.K. we continue to next step


    Forth, Put all those subfolders and files in "DoW2_squadmod2.2" folder to

    "bla bla bla\Steam\SteamApps\common\dawn of war 2\GameAssets"
    (path before "\down of war 2\GameAssets" may be not like what I have so you really need to find it on your own.)

    BE SURE TO MAKE IT OVERWRITE ALL IF IT ASK TO.

    Then if nothing wrong in "bla bla bla\dawn of war 2\GameAssets" will have

    11 folders and 8 readme files


    Fifth, Now open steam then play Dow2 by using your shorcut of the game that setting as checkpoint above.


    Now this is things to be check that mod is working.

    Loading screen before go into main menu will change to Jaylo138 style.

    At main menu you will see other unit stand there not a force commander.

    In Army painter look at Blood Ravens chapter color, it become Ultramarines Chapter color.

    Play new game campaign with primarch difficult and at begining of first mission you will see a different.


    And if you follow all step carfully but it still not work, please sent your screen shot of....

    your "bla bla bla\dawn of war 2\GameAssets" directory.

    Also game main menu and in game screenshot of first mission when you can command your squad.

    To be see in this topic so we all will know what happen.


    If you don't know how to sent picture in here, ask us again.

    Hope you can play this awesome mod.
